  1. New Cumnock has a population of 3000, Auchinleck 4000, Darvel 4000, Beith 7500 (rounded up figures) what level do you realistically think these teams can aspire to? Fair enough I appreciate they've all schooled Clydebank over their short history but they are not deluded enough to think that they can go and make their mark further up the leagues. NB You are streaks ahead in winning the meltdown of the season trophy to add to your collection.
  2. Congratulations on winning the runners-up spot for having the fewest managers in the past two decades (and basically nothing else of any note) despite coming from an area with one of the largest catchments, largest supports and budgets in the level of football concerned. A wonderful achievement I'm sure is celebrated every season. You come on here and criticise teams with far fewer resources who have had far more success. Maybe look in before you look out.
  3. Glenafton has a history of giving untried, new managers the opportunity to prove themselves, some of them work ( Henderson McEwan) some of them don't (more recent ones). Wouldnt be surprised if a similar appointment was made.
  4. My own team plays on a grass park actually. Given a choice between watching a game on the slope at Beith or the astro at Cumnock I would choose Cumnock. Beith does have that unique community benefit at Easter time when the local weans get in to roll their eggs I'll give you that.
  5. Prefer them to playing on the side of a hill personally.
  6. Scenario: Your team has won the WOSFL Premier Division would you prefer if your team was 1) promoted to the Lowland League or 2) remain in the WOSFL
  7. Glenaftons pitch has had a fair amount of investment and professional input over the past few years and is in better condition for this time of year than I've ever seen it.
  8. I think the fact it took the referee some time to decide whether the game should be on or not means it was far from being frozen solid. Stop exaggerating. And if it is a 100 mile round trip from Barrhead to New Cumnock I would suggest you consult a map. Stop exaggerating.
  9. And if the initial costs are say 70k or upwards for floodlights etc do the benfits still outweigh the costs, how long until that investment if it is manageable is clawed back?
  10. Not into medieval circuses myself. The whole charade is an embarrassment.
  11. WOSFL is rapidly turning into a farce, a supposedly professional football organisation and they cannot make a decision on a team turning up with seven players, shocking. Their lack of decision making is preventing the affected clubs from pushing on with : Pitch renovation New season sponsorship Signing of existing players Signing of new players. It really is time they got their act together and make the only logical decision available unless they are wanting a rerun of the farcical situation that played out at Glenafton.
  12. You would need to be very gullible to think Glencairn were not trying to gain an advantage by releasing players early. That move failed so doon yous go kicking n screaming. I wonder where the keeper of many clubs will play next season? Wonder if the judgement on the Blantyre faisco will be out before DArvel's two promotion games are completed. Could draft in Sue Gray to speed things up a bit. .
  13. WOSL is a new organisation are you sure there are rules covering this scenario, if so why the delay in decision making?
