  1. Nah, honestly. Ive still to get the proof that road traffic laws apply in a carpark. Either that or an apology from the ***.
  2. 7 minutes? so were you not able to find the remote control?
  3. Me too. Ive never caught a school bus in my life. Even at Uni i always walked instead of bussing it. (the fact that i have always lived within 2 minutes walking distance of school/uni is completely irrelevant to that claim, honest)
  4. How do you make that out? Anyway, watched Click yesterday. 8/10 Very enjoyable film, funny throughout and a good moral story to it also. It also got an extra point for the "dog" storyline throughout, Hilareous.
  5. Thats it i am going to the complaints forum to complain about that I hate the fucking yankees
  6. But isnt she a director then? so cant really get above her station? especially with lowly grunts like you?
  7. I dont really "hate" telesales workers per se, just hate if they dont take no for an answer. Then i just hang up on them so again, wouldnt say i hate them, they are inconsequencial.
  8. Give you 3 years as Kilt insinuated, ill take the little bit extra car insurance over no periods/pregnancy/child birth (considering the amount you all go on about how horrible all of the above is, and that if men had to humans would be extinct by now)
  9. Hey im famous However i hate to rain on your parade, but as Phd Dave will confirm to do a bluetooner is actually to jinx your team in any way possible. You will have to come up with a new term for it
  10. I was just pointing out that using the fact you dont do something often is no excuse for doing it. I said at the time it was overkill but it does show my point effectively. I stated that i didnt think how long you had your test for was part of the insurance forms. Its not being discriminated against. It is covering the fact that it is statistically shown that Males under the age of 21 or whatever are more likely to get in the accident than 40 year old women. It is the same reasons that it is more expensive for people who use their car for work, and drive 300miles a week in it, compared to someone who just drives 30miles a week. If there was an insurance for it, it would cost a lot more for insurance against being shot by a gun if you were an undercover police officer who is often shot at, compared to an old lady who lives in the woods with nothing people would want to rob, and is visited 1x a month by an old man who gave her groceries/food etc to live on. Just because you dont think its fair it doesnt mean its discrimination. If you want to make sure you are amply covered then you have to pay for it, if you want to risk not being covered good luck, but you will pay the consequence of you get into an accident. If you cant afford the insurance, do like i did and sell your car, taking public transport/hitch a lift.
  11. To add to the insurance, another reason that insurance is so high nowadays are taht new cars are completely shit A small fender bender can cost about $2-3000 to fix as cars just crumple on contact now, due to safety concerns. There are also a lot more cars being written off when they get in accidents, so instead of having to cover $500 or so to remove a dent from a fender bender, insurance companies are having to spend thousands to replace a panel or something like that.
  12. What? im more realistic about the costs of insurance/ running a car and you are spitting the dummy that the big bad insurance companies are quoting you a lot of money for insurance? Ill tell you what, ill have a word with them and get them to forget about the fact it may put them out of business, and tell them to only charge a round rate of $500 for a years insurance regardless of circumstances
  13. No, but the 1500 or so is, especially for fully comp If you cant afford it, get used to the buses
  14. So just because it is expensive it isnt a good price? going by that logic a BMW is too expensive even if it is priced at $15000 compared to the same car elsewhere that is $40000
  15. Corpse Bride 7/10 Animated film from Tim Burton, quite funny throughout and a great cast list of names for the voices
  16. There should be a difference between 3rd party only and fully comp. If the quote was 4000 fully comp and 1500 third party then thats fair enough, it seems like it is a good deal for fully comp at that price
  17. 1.4 litre is still more powerful than id allow for young drivers and it was fully comp which adds about 5-600 on to the price i would think. edited to add:- i also didnt think they took how long you had your licence into account just your age, and assumed you had been driving when you were 17 . Id also like to say that hopefully, since you are 2nd driver you dont own the car. If you do it is illegal, the first named driver HAS to be the main driver of the car/ person with the registration.
