  1. Aberdeen would have shitfest their way to a 1-0 win if it wasn't for Roos error. I can't remember the last time I watched a decent game with St Johnstone.
  2. Dundee proved to be a bogey team for us at Pittodrie during the late 90s and early 2000s. We experienced a challenging period, losing five consecutive matches and going 15 games without a victory over a span of 17 years.
  3. Aberdeen started ok but gradually got worse. Dreadful game between 2 terrible sides. Hopefully 2nd half is an improvement.
  4. I was hoping that one of the games would be on a Saturday or Sunday!!! Holidays is going to be a problem.
  5. Political influence should be excluded from Scottish Football, and only the SFA should possess the authority to determine the appropriate punishment for Aberdeen. The government may suggest a penalty, but I distinctly recall feeling angered by the actions of the 8 Aberdeen players.
  6. Had an amazing weekend with two standout performances: Erland Cooper celebrated a 200th Birthday at the Queens Hall, and despite not knowing what to expect, his music, already enjoyed on Spotify, combined with the multi-talented quartet's innovative use of modern technology, made the experience truly special. This gig is likely to be among my top three for the year. Attended a show featuring Hannah Peel and Beibei Wang at Drygate Brewery. Beibei Wang's skilled mastery of various instruments, creating distinct sounds, was captivating. In the electronic music scene, Hannah Peel truly stands out as a top artist, and witnessing two incredible artists improvise was simply amazing. The opening act, The Others, based in Glasgow with members from Iran, Chile, and Brazil, delivered an excellent world music performance.
  7. Airdrieonians or Bonnyrigg Rose away as its two grounds I've not been to.
  8. It's uncertain at this point, especially with the upcoming matches against Rangers and Hearts away, as well as Celtic at home. Typically, we consider ourselves fortunate to secure even a single point from these three games.
  9. In the 90s, we did face challenges at home against Stranraer, securing a victory with a narrow margin of 1-0. However, our overall record against them remains unblemished, including a 2-0 triumph in our 2005 encounter where the first half proved to be a struggle.
  10. The exit of Williams should create an available salary slot. Traditionally, this transfer window has been rather uninspiring, so I don't expect a significant amount of activity, although any potential transactions are more likely to occur closer to the deadline.
  11. Not everyone may share my viewpoint, but I believe that a defeat against Clyde on Friday would be more disheartening than the loss to Darvel. Darvel invested significantly more money than teams in League 2 and many League 1 sides. Despite the perception of Darvel being inferior due to the league they competed in, it resembled the situation where Gretna gained financial support.
  12. There are not many trains available after 11 pm. Hopefully, DB adds a few more. According to someone in TAMB, some trains are already sold out. I booked my trains as soon as I could, and it wasn't more expensive than the current deal they're offering.
  13. World Cup of Darts is on the week after at Frankfurt.
  14. I like Bread Meats Bread in St Vincent Street along with Pizza punks across the road. If you are at the Mackintosh church then there is a Bread Meats Bread on Great Western Road - recommendation is the Wolf Burger.
  15. Aberdeen has been allocated 3,800 tickets, but selling them all seems unlikely, especially with the match being televised on a Friday night. Currently, only 450 tickets remain in the north stand, indicating that approximately 1,400 have been sold. The last encounter with Clyde took place in August 1991 during the league cup, resulting in a 4-0 victory for Aberdeen. In the Scottish Cup, Aberdeen boasts a record of 4 wins, 2 draws, and 2 losses. Additionally, Aberdeen has maintained an unbeaten record in away games. While Clyde appears to have improved under McCall, my optimism remains high that Aberdeen will have the advantage, fueled by the motivating Darvel result. Despite my confidence in a smooth victory, there is a slight concern considering Aberdeen's historical challenges in cup competitions over the past few years.
  16. Think he's 19 now and got nowhere near the first team so it is the right move. Club could have picked a better photo
  17. Save a pen against Hibs at the end of last season - it was a critical game too which the 0-0 helped us finish 3rd.
  18. In 2001, Aberdeen witnessed a significant transformation as Keith Burkinshaw stepped down from the position of Executive Director of Football to assume the role of a non-executive director. Jim Cummings attempted to unseat Stewart Milne but was unsuccessful, leading to his resignation in March. Cormark also resigned in July, and Keith Wyness was appointed as the Chief Executive. It is believed that Rowson departed for Stoke City on a free transfer, and his wages were likely not excessively high. As of 2001, our debt situation was not as severe as it would become in the subsequent years. In fact, the club faced substantial losses in the following years.
  19. Always thought we would have a fixture at home the week after the Scottish Cup Final.
  20. Gigs for January: 20th January - Erland Cooper (Queen's Hall) 21st January - Hannah Peel & Beibei Wang (Drygate Brewing Company) 27th January - This is the Kit (Tramway) 28th January - Lambchop (Glasgow Royal Concert Hall New Auditorium) Would want to see a lot more with Celtic Connections during the week but not any Holidays to take with Germany 2024
  21. To me the foul was committed outside the box so it looks like the correct decision.
  22. We are so pish that we have won 3 out of the last 4 league games!
