  1. Sticking his flag up his arse whilst he picks his nose?
  2. Stryjek Devlin Fitzwater Obileye Lewis Holt Pittman Sibbald Mullin Montano Anderson Bench Barden, Kelly, Penrice, Forrest, Shinnie, Hamilton, Reilly Or something like that. Depending on who's fit and who's injured.
  3. Longridge and Shinnie picked up knocks against Cowdenbeath and Devlin, Mullin and Forrest haven't had 90 minutes, so I would be shocked to see any of them start. I reckon this will be the lineup Stryjek McMillan Obileye Parkes Penrice Pittman Holt Lewis Sibbald Anderson Montano I also reckon if we don't get horsed, then it's a good game for us
  4. I heard that Sibbs and Holt were both still struggling with tiredness after recovering from COVID and they were only supposed to have 45 mins each. I think the number of subs is maybe more to do with that than anything.
  5. The lack of training and match practice was evident last night and I think you could see Davie try a few things. Pitts looked better and more comfortable in the number 10 role, rather than defensive midfield for example and Penrice didn't look good on the left wing. Positives for me was how comfortable Shinnie looked on the ball, the pace and movement of Anderson and Longridge looked a lot better defensively this week. Negatives were Parkes pass back attempts to the keeper, Fitz being out of position and Holt continually losing possession. A few games under their belts and those errors could go but they could haunt us like last season. Fitz did look better at right back when McMillan went off, I wonder if he is more suited to being a right back. I think we'll look better once Forrest, Devlin and Mullin all come back.
  6. 1) The Rangers 2) Celtic 3) Hibs 4) St Johnstone 5) Motherwell 6) Livingston 7) St Mirren 8 ) Aberdeen 9) Dundee Utd 10) Ross County 11) Hearts 12) Dundee
  7. I fancy a 4-1-4-1 formation. Really attack them. Stryjeck McMillan Fitzwater Guthrie Longridge Bartley JET Pittman Sibbald Kabia Forrest.
  8. I have fond memories of the enthusiastic, talented Aurelio spending more time diving than on his feet. A great, skilful player but one for the theatrics.
  9. It really does but we did catch them on their game and there's not much you can do against one of the old firm when everything clicks. Hopefully St Johnstone will have one eye on the cup final and their league form suffers. It would be a hell of an achievement if we could nab 5th place again.
  10. One draw could be enough. If we lose to Rangers 1-0 and Celtic cuff St Johnstone 4-0, then a draw on Saturday would be enough. We would finish above St Johnstone on goals scored.
  11. Pitts form has been patchy, although it has picked up recently. Ambrose has been a bombscare at times this season, we looked at our best last season with Guthrie and Brown as the Centre Halves. Bartley seems to be off the pace in a few of the games, the number 10's have made a few runs in which he's not picked up. I would like to see Robinson in the number 10 role as I feel that is his best position. I would also like to see Souda, McMillan and Brown play, although I suspect that we may have seen the last of the Aymen Souda :(. It's a lot of changes but may be needed as we need something to get our season started.
  12. I think I'd like to see a bit of a shake up. There are a few players that could do with being dropped due to poor form. I would go with something like this:- Stryjek McMillan - Brown - Guthrie - Serrano Holt - Sibbald Forrest - Robinson - Souda Lokotsch Bench:- McCrorie, Ambrose, Devlin, Bartley, Jacobs, Lawson, Pignatiello, Pittman, Poplatnik
  13. I thought Forrest took a tug before the tackle in the box. I thought the Aberdeen defender was lucky not to receive his marching orders and conceding a free kick outside the box. The tackle was from behind and he did play the man first. We really were on the wrong end of a few decisions from the ref. The Aberdeen players certainly threw themselves to the ground every time one of our players got close.
  14. I think it's going to be a free agent, a decent loan or a bargain. I can't see us splashing out on someone. Some unknown striker who scores for fun in lower league England that used to play for Walsall
  15. When you look at the list of players we had missing for yesterday's game, that was very impressive. Missing were:- McCrorie (starting keeper, due to loan clause not allowing him to play against parent club) Brown (Injury) Lithgow (long term injury) Lawson (injury) Jacobs (assume it's an injury) Souda (injury perhaps?) Menga (absent for whatever reason, not listed on the playing squad) Dykes (off to pastures new) Add in the fact that Bartley was taken off with an injury and Poplatnik was as well, that was some result. I'm hoping that with the Dykes money, Holt is allowed to pop out and grab a couple of players to shore up the positions we need. Perhaps another winger and striker. Assuming all are out against Aberdeen (apart from McCrorie), it leaves the squad paper thin. I reckon we could line up as follows:- Stryjek Devlin Fitzwater Guthrie McMillan Holt Crawford Forrest Pittman Sibbald Hamilton Bench McCrorie, Taylor-Sinclair, Ambrose, Robinson, Kouidder-Aissa, Pignatello, Tiffoney, Da Vita, Pepe, It's really a threadbare squad and I really do think we might need a player or two in to bolster the squad.
  16. Definitely a triallist keeper - The hosts brought on seven new faces, with only Mehmet surviving the whole 90 minutes after three earlier substitutions, while Livi made five changes which saw Marvin Bartley, Jack McMillan, Craig Sibbald, Lyndon Dykes and Robby McCrorie be replaced by Carlo Pignatielo, Robbie Crawford, Salim Kouider Aissa, Jack Hamilton and a trialist.
  17. There was one triallist named on the bench and none of the other subs was a keeper. I would assume that the triallist is a keeper based on that, but you are right, it could as easily be Jason Holt.
  18. I saw somewhere that Menga was in Belgium. I can't remember where. I reckon the triallist was probably a sub keeper that we're looking at, possibly Rohan Ferguson who is on trial with the club.
  19. I think he's a class keeper. He looked solid on his debut. There was a couple of misplays but that's normal for a keeper. I'm interested to see how good he will be this season with regular games and properly knowing the defence. Personally, I'm delighted with the signing and hope he has an outstanding season.
  20. Robby McCrorie is back. https://livingstonfc.co.uk/whats-the-story-its-robby-mccrorie/
  21. So you are saying that it doesn't make sense for Annan (and their merry band of fans) for example, in the winter, to potentially hit roads closed off due to snow. Regionalise it and you reduce the costs for clubs. That leads to better profit and more of a chance to survive in the lower leagues.
  22. Here is what I would do for reconstruction. This season 14-10-10-10, keep things as they are as it's the only way to appease everyone. Next Season go to a 12-12-20 format. Both championship and premiership the same, spitting the same. The seasides leagues going to Seaside League North and South. with the pyramid below. Winners of Highland League feeding into North and Lowland League into south, either through a playoff or automatic relegation So, that would potentially look something like below in 2021 (used as an example) Prem Celtic, Rangers, Motherwell, Livingston, Aberdeen, Hibs, St Johnstone, Kilmarnock, Ross County, St Mirren, Hamilton and Dundee Utd Championship Hearts, Inverness CT, Ayr Utd, Dunfermline, Dundee, QOS, Morton, Arbroath, Alloa, Partick Thistle, Falkirk and Raith Rovers Seaside North Cove Rangers, Elgin, Peterhead, Brechin City, Montrose, Forfar, East Fife, Cowdenbeath, Stirling Albion and Brora Rangers Seaside South Stranraer, Annan, Kelty Hearts, Dumbarton, Clyde, Edinburgh City, Airdrie, Stenhousemuir, Queens Park and Albion Rovers. It's not perfect but the big teams are not going to vote for less games against the Old Firm and it makes sense to regionalise below the Championship to reduce potential travel costs in this current climate.
  23. In my head I'd written Pittman. I'll edit my post, cheers.
