I've played limited teams, few guys at work sometimes come on which is enjoyable, and you're right, it is so much different. Good focus on teamwork, obviously, and means you can approach things differently. I'm very much in favour of Solos though, really enjoy the tension of it oddly. Best result was 2nd on solos, but a couple of 4th place yesterday. Think when I finally win it I'll just retire.

I'm the same to be honest. After getting annoyed with the game last night I switched over to Warzone for a couple. Finished 4th twice in Solos and probably had more fun than I did all weekend in FIFA. Will be nice to have a bit of a break after this weekend. I have, but I've backed myself into such a corner with doing so many upgrades. I now have probably 3 very good teams to put together, but if I was putting my 11 strongest together, chem would be shot. Lewandowski is the biggest "problem", just can't justify dropping him, which leads me down a certain path. Having to do very early pauses, which I hate, but it's doing a job. In terms of how he is? I'm enjoying him. Not quite as good as he'd probably be with someone competent, but he's pretty much what you'd expect, tiny little nuisance. Don't expect him to be a physical option, but if you can dribble or skill, you'll have a brilliant time with him. Considering the amount of high-rated untradeables that most will have, he's a no brainer if you can fit him in.

8 and fucking 13. Absolutely brutal stuff, and clearly while everyone else has lifted how they play, I haven't. Really wanted to sign off with a gold 2 before the end of 20,now I'll be lucky to get gold 3 again. Need 6 from 9 tomorrow now.

Could still have been legit. Wouldn't put it past the company to punt everyone and see who got the most reaction. They had to have known they'd bring some of them back, but doesn't mean the wrestlers themselves knew.

But none of that really has any relevance to the original gif, which is showing the shitey physics/game engine. I don't personally believe there's as much momentum/DDA in online games, but I've as much proof of that as people have of the opposite. But if someone came with clear evidence of it, I'd obviously listen. Problem is, that anything happens in the game now, and people scream scripting. And I mean anything. That dilutes the point of anyone who does actually have a good point about the subject.

Oh don't get me wrong, the code is shite. Whether it's ineptitude, I'm not sure. I don't think given the yearly cycle they've really got it in them - or the time - to do the overhauls the game badly needs. Particularly when they're making a ridiculous amount of money without doing any of that. Laziness, essentially, borne from people buying the game no matter what. It's the scripting part that gets to me. If we're talking DDA, go look at squad battles. That's fairly clear in what it's trying to do, with players just being unnaturally boosted for what seems like no reason. But, like it or not (and I don't) it's a fairly clean way of achieving it. So given that, why exactly would they decide to throw that out for online play and resort to changing the laws of physics?

Not really. It isn't "scripting" no matter how desperate people are for it to be, it's just another example in the long, long list of bugs and problems in the game. No more of a yikes than any of the others.

Got Ebdalhamid or whatever he's called out of a League SBC, then the shit left back from the upgrades, so seemed like I was just getting the usual "Ha, you thought you were getting something good!" But then... It's on!

Nothing whatsoever out of Marquee Matchups, and nothing out of 4 Premium Upgrades so far. I'm actually quite tempted to see just how far this run can go. I know I won't be alone, and it's a w****r's game complaining about luck when you've been quite lucky in the past, but this is so starkly different to all the others that I'm almost convinced I'll either get really lucky eventually, or I'll go without any TOTS whatsoever all the way through.

People have said there's only 3, but I'm not sure if that's ever been explicitly stated by EA. It might have been back at the start, but then we're not in normal times now. I think they'd be mental not to run another soon, particularly when they could fill it with options that will never be quite as good as TOTS (suits them not to give away too much). If we don't get Icons, hopefully we get something like it, either TOTS Swaps or just plain old FUT Swaps. If they remove the long-term grind, the game's going to look even more stale and tedious than it already does.

Will see how I look tomorrow after no doubt being tempted by a few upgrade attempts, then see what the final WL team of the year for me will look like. And by team, I mean shower of absolute shitebags, because I can tell you now where I'm going to finish.

I expect we'll just get the same cards rereleased as a team, but basically just them back in packs. The point of it is the same point as anything EA do - shake as many coppers from the players pockets as they can.

Gathered 10, then swithered on the final. Didn't want to give up Kostic as a Bundesliga player, so used Idrissi as I'm sure I could get a good enough supersub elsewhere... Got Cazorla, Williams (both 86) and...fucking Kostic.

Aye, he's far, far from the worst I could've got, but I often don't play with full-backs at all. Not really one I can link with anyone really either, unless I get lucky tomorrow.

Got him too. Meh. He looks good, but a RB has to be right at the bottom of exciting positions. Im waiting to see reds tomorrow, if I get someone decent ill go down the upgrades rabbit hole again.

Been there... I don't think there's anything specific, but totally agree it often seems that way. I've always put it down to as the games plough on, you just start doing everything possible to just get that goal. And the harder the try, the more it exposes how the game is a bit fucking shit. I seem to remember having to score with a certain guy, and just as it looked like he might get the last one he pulled up with an injury.

I'm going to have a significant number of upgrades once I'm done churning through them, bought up quite a few rares this afternoon. In for a penny, in for a FIFA coin and all that. Gold 3 with the last fucking game. Not great, but almost fucked it up, so at least I've got that. Started out needing something like 8 wins for gold 2,eventually blew that, but assumed I'd easily get 3 as usual. Then after some real f**k ups on my part, I needed 2 wins from 2. 6-0 rage quit in the first, then went 1 down in the last, against one of those teams that looks ominous. Quickly hit back, then again, and again. 4th went on, and after one more of their attacks broke down another rage quit. Level 30 already achieved, and I cannot be arsed with any of the objective players. Time to leave fifa alone for a week before ultimate tots.

People have said they do it because they then usually don't suggest the bronze players as automatic subs, which I can see. I expect plenty are still doing it because they believe it makes a difference. I've yet to see anything that suggests that's true.

THIS GAME IS DONE FOR...at least for me Clickbait youtube shite at it's finest straight off the bat. Then literal minutes of saying absolutely f**k all before he finally gets to the point. Is his point honestly that the AI is shite? The AI is always shite. The game's coded like shite. It's not a revelation. The engine has very obvious exploits, and people are always going to actively go for those, which exposes the rest. There, could've said that in less than a minute.

1-5 yesterday, and another absolutely brutal evening. I'm clearly someone carried by better players, because now that EVERYONE has better players, I'm getting regularly pummeled. Although it's not quite like that - a lot of games I'm doing well but maybe being a bit wasteful, then my complete lack of defensive skill lets them ahead and I can never quite get back into it. Placement games were 1-4, and the 1 wasn't exactly comfortable. Topped it all off last night with going 1-0 down through a penalty with Manolas being sent off (justified unfortunately). Had a complete head's gone and went into full on 13 year old playing with his pals mode, trying to hack down everyone. Went 4-0 down. Was happy to let it go to double figures or get enough people sent off to cause a forfeit, but then the game turned. I'm not sure what the guy was doing in defence but he left massive, massive games. 4-1...4-2...Christ, 4-3. He got a 5th, but managed to get it to 5-5 and probably looked the most likely. Unfortunately he then remembered that I was playing 2 at the back, and just too much space. Got the 6th, and I couldn't get back into it again. Honestly don't know why I bother with this game sometimes. Although I expect I'll muddle my way to Gold 3 again and that'll be that. See you all again next week.

EA are just trolling now. TOTS starting to flow, but after getting Manolas in rewards, I've now been rewarded with both Smalling and De Vrij. Good pulls, but not what I'd choose. Then after getting Handanovic in a normal upgrade, I got Szczesny. Fair to stay I'm stacked well in defence.
