Might not be far off! From a quick think I make it 3 seasons in a row with 1 solitary league away win. Stenny today, QOS last season and Falkirk in 21/22.

Basically if we're to stay up now then the points to overturn the deficit will be earned at "home".

21/22 we definitely beat Alloa away (game before Falkirk). I think we won at East Fife as well (Cunningham double?).

  2. Firstly, Alex King's last ten minutes on Tuesday actually ruined the fact he had done well at left back. He's been great there. Doesn't get beaten one-on-one and can defend a diagonal. That's all you need.

I thought we were the better team before Stenny scored from a poor error by Kinnear. I thought the free kick for our equaliser was soft, but not as soft as the wall. Finally a wee bit of luck with the rebound for Allan's first.

The second half was an enjoyable romp. A great wee nutmeg from Cuddihy and overlap from Lyon before Rennie netted from the cross. I actually tend to enjoy goals like that better than long range strikes but Rennie's second was an absolute belter; you'll literally never see a player strike the ball better.

Allan produced a decent backheel to set Ballantyne in for the fifth and King did superbly for the sixth, which Allan couldn't really miss.

Tactically I thought Cuddihy (outstanding today) did a great job stopping Wedderburn turning, with Ballantyne matching up against Anderson.

The goalscorers will rightly take credit but Sula didn't give Aitken a sniff and won nearly every set piece. The one thing that Howie/Hamilton lack is dominance in the air.

All that said, it must be great to be enjoying a season so much that you clap your team off after a 6-1 thumping.

  3. It's hard to criticise any supporter that is still going to games, but I thought the "encouragement" made things unnecessarily nervy in the first half; a first half where we were in reasonable control against a side that just sat deep with a tight midfield. Not sure there's anyone in the division that would be passing their way through that. The bigger issue for me was not winning second balls (not helped by Young not really disrupting the centre halves). We had three or four decent efforts on goal but by the end we looked completely shot of confidence.

Second half we don't defend a set piece (a real lack of presence in the air in general just now) and then end up chasing the game. We could easily score through Leslie or Rennie but had our momentum ruined by an awful decision to give Forfar a throw that they took 45 seconds to take, then played down into the corner. We were a bit unfortunate with the second, with Grant going down injured.

A fair few did chuck it after that. I'd not pick on King solely, there were others. At the end of the day, this team shows barely any signs of turning round a one goal deficit, never mind two. The whole club is just a complete and utter mess and I have no idea how to spark it back into life.

The positives are that we won't ever seen Kinnear lobbed from halfway. He looks absolutely petrified to come off his line. And I'll probably not have to bother with Elgin on the final day.

Lambie had been good in previous games but when the Forfar goalie spends the whole second half literally shouting at players to time waste, and he does nothing about it, then he isn't doing his job properly. For what it's worth, I thought all the yellow cards were fair enough. But giving Young offside from a clear Forfar header back is one of the worst decisions you will see.

Right then, Mr Thomson. What's your master plan for selling season tickets this coming summer?

I'm sure the weirdos that voted him back in will all be signing up. A quite inexplicable decision on their behalf.

    He has;

    1. Resigned a player that was the most toxic name in the papers at the time.

    2. Left Broadwood, meaning we haven't had a home advantage in two seasons.

    3. Brought Duffy back as manager.

    4. Appointed Duffy as Director of Football (literally alienating our entire fanbase).

    5. Allowed McLean to be thrown under the bus (Duffy sitting on the bench ).

There are lots of other small things (multiple kits being messed up), and I'm sure plenty would add Lennon's new contract. The sad thing is, I genuinely think every one of those decisions was made with good intentions. They've just all been terrible choices.

Unfortunately for him, the Maitland/McCall/benefactor dream team hasn't worked either.

Is it wrong that I am starting to dislike Rennie so much?

He's a decent finisher and can link the game at times but he must be the easiest forward in the league to play against. Looks at McLean for Forfar; a lazy big donkey but he is just a nuisance purely by being on the pitch.

Catching up on MOTD and how the f**k did VAR decide that Notts Forest shouldn’t have had a penalty for that trip on Williams. It’s a stonewaller.

Apparently they've just appointed Mark Clattenburg as a referee analyst. Not sure that's going to help much.

  7. Given Dumbarton's undoubted strength is down their right, I thought King (after the first five minutes) put in as good a performance at left back as any Clyde player in years (very little competition for that admittedly). I also thought that Cameron did a much better job supporting him than Kabia, even if it was a bizarre substitution.

I'm his biggest critic but Allan had a great game today, he benefitted from the better distribution from full back and Ballantyne's energy. I thought he was a bit unlucky for the red card but his first yellow was beyond stupid.

    Leitch has to be starting.

Not getting my hopes up but we will definitely know either way over the next few games. Forfar twice, Elgin and Bonnyrigg, along with a trip to Stenny.

It's a shame Dumbarton aren't a wee bit closer as they look done for the season.

    Leighfield away, thank god.

He certainly went against the idea that "All goalkeepers should be good shotstoppers". Barely saved anything.

An absolute terrible goalkeeper. My highlight was the Musselburgh game when he casually left a shot which ended up smacking off the post.

  9. I don't think I'll ever believe that team selection. Ray Grant, McGinn, Kabia dropped after a decent performance last week. New goalie should surely come straight in. Compounded by poor performances by Cuddihy, Ballantyne, Dunachie and others.

Jordan Allan is rubbish when the ball is launched up to him. He's also rubbish when he gets the ball to his feet. The only reason he is in the team is to net the rebound from King's one-on-one, and the later chance for an equaliser. Not to mention the chance last week, and the one at Elgin.

    We deserved nothing today.

Where is best for parking? First time driving down today with the trains being all over the place.

You can literally just drive in to the park that sits directly outside the stadium. Avoid parking between the swings and you'll be fine.
