  1. Liam Burt could be more likely than Charlie Gilmour but the more the better.
  2. He had world class ability when on his game, but didn't enjoy training or really have much in the way of ambition. If he had moved to Real Madrid or the like in his early 20s he'd have been world class (and not as a winger), but he wasn't interested in moving anywhere.
  3. Believe me I have Googled it and there's not a single quote from the alleged aggrieved party. You should be ashamed of yourself.
  4. Has the world gone mad? It's a disgusting, unsubstantiated allegation people are delighted to believe because some anonymous poster on an obscure forum claimed to know someone's brother.
  5. Your pal down the pub tell you that? Quite an allegation against the dead. I don't recall any ex-pros having a bad word to say about Cooper.
  6. . To be fair, Man Utd were still rich in those days and were one of the bigger spending clubs. Strachan was one of the top players in England. Didn't he win player of the year once? He wasn't world class though.
  7. Hard to tell with Baxter. He played for various world selects at the time and still stood out from what I hear. Players from that era tend to immediately name him as being world class. I think his best years were his first spell at Rangers - he may have broken a leg at Sunderland.
  8. Agree with most of this. If Goram had been 6ft 5 he would have been world class, as it was he was vulnerable at set pieces. McStay, McAllister and Ferguson and to a lesser extent Collins and Lambert, are the pick of our more "recent" midfielders, but none world class. If McStay had moved abroad he might have got there. Same with Cooper. Our last world class player was Dalglish, before that probably Law, Murdoch and Baxter but before my time.
  9. I'm pretty sure the Record story was based on the wrong Twitter account, because it's not on Feruz10. I can see a Steven Fletcher scenario brewing. Give the lad some space.
  10. Mark Wotte stated unequivocally that he can only play for those two teams. I think it's now in the rules of the home nations FAs rather than gentlemans agreements. Gordon Smith got it done.
  11. He's not eligible to play for England. Only Scotland and Somalia.
  12. I mean "losing him", as in, him not bothering with international football. Steven Fletcher?
  13. He's one of the best players of his generation - already played and scored for Chelsea reserves at 16 (not just youth team). He IS too good for the u17s and we risk losing him through poor management. That said, it works both ways, and he better screw the nut.
