For me Gauld was one of the best players in the country before he went to Portugal. I’d be amazed if he hasn’t improved. I think he’ll do well at Hibs but they won’t be able to hold on to him after that. Gauld has filled out to some degree, but it’s his brain that does most of the work.
He was one of the best players in the league when he left. I doubt if he’s lost technique or conditioning in Portugal, so he’d more than likely be one of the best players in the league should he return.
Correct, but not disappointing. He’ll have a good two years worth of experience playing under high pressure at a club that needs to win, and then move to a top league. A win for Scotland surely?
Hornby is the big 6ft 4in striker we’ve been lacking for many years. He’s got ability too. . Not for the team yet, but in a couple of years. McBurnie will be a good player. Aitchison needs a season loan somewhere.
