  1. Baird is never a 15 goal a season striker and when he's dropped or rested, oft toys out the pram an aw that.
  2. I did say a while ago their previous wages were taken into account. Also I'm sure the newly offered contract has to be better than the last one the player was on, even if it was just £1.Anyway we all know everything is weighed towards the so called big clubs. Doncaster wouldn't want it any other way.
  3. We also have them to play in a pre-season game on the 17th July with a 19.30ko.
  4. Well if you say you have no idea of what players get paid you'll be like me and read it on here. Some posters do seem to have inside info though!
  5. Erm no I didn't, you unlike most of us will probably have inside info and on this occasion are adding 2 and 2 and getting 5!!!
  6. Gordon is a great signing for you guys, wish we could have got him. He always impressed me with strong solid performances.
  7. Gordon has always impressed me and I wondered why he never went full time, just assumed he had a very good job. Think he could have done better than Living.
  8. My understanding is that any monetary settlement is made up of a multiple of years at the club, games played and existing wage. So even if a player has a few years and a fair few starts then if his wage wasn't high then the total value wouldn't be particularly high. Maybe the club have decided it was better to accept what Scumdee offered just in case things went against them at a tribunal. Anyway it's all just speculation as there'll only be a few who know exactly what the fee is and how it was agreed.
  9. I never mentioned younger players who were also in education.
  10. The price is relative to what the players are getting paid. If young players are getting a small wage, as is strongly rumoured how can we then ask for a large fee?
  11. Does what the youngster get/got paid come into the formula, hope not?
  12. Just add to that, Paton played on the left and kept cutting in. Two great goals that night.
  13. No don't recall seeing him play that position against us but he does take a beezer of a penalty!
  14. Kyle Jacobs, now that's more like it. He can play CM,RM or even RB.
  15. Historical both of these teams carried a bigger support than us.
  16. Looks like money talks at least when you spend it.
  17. So true and a very good point it will certainly enable them to entice players who may have a couple of clubs to choose from.
  18. There might well be candy in the pot but that's not to say it will get spent, especially on players!
  19. So after one of the longest drawn out transfers Gav's finally signed on for the Hearts. Good luck you'll always be welcomed back.
  20. Holt is good playing as a wingback and effective going forward.Durnan is the better, stronger defender and is more of a goal threat.
  21. Not to bad a starting lineup but very little in the way of backup when injures and suspensions kick in.
