Some interesting opinions being given. What I would say about this team is the blend of youth, energy and experience all over the park is working really well and paying dividends. Durnan and Holt along side Dowie and Higgins. McShane who was along side Kerr and now with Burns and Reilly and Lyle who is having his best season, which I think is no coincidence. Exciting times ahead in the next few months I hope.

A lot of comparisons have been made of our cup run this season to that of 2008 and this got me thinking. How do people compare this team to the team back then, particularly our crop of youngsters? Thompson - Durnan Harris - Holt Tosh - McShane Dobbie - Reilly.

Well as we are probably not going to find out the offers we'll never know if that was the case. There isn't much money in Scottish football and looking at Loy as an example were by Accies offered £25k where would you value McShane. £10-£20k? It could be that the board just put a high unrealistic valuation on the player and therefore hold him back. When and who was the last player we got money for and how much. Bob Harris?

So listening to the managers radio interview he now doesn't want to lose McShane and is looking to hold onto him although offers have been made. A couple of weeks ago he said the club wouldn't stand in the way of any of the youngsters if they were looking to progress. Is this not a little bit of a contradiction?

There didn't seem to be an assistant today, no sports guy and nobody doing a warm up or drills with the sub's at halftime. All these things will not help the team. Something needs to happen and happen soon. Edited to say, a lot of part time and junior teams have people in place to carry out these tasks. Are we being run on to tight a budget?
