Why did that VAR check take so long?
Presumably that's how long it takes for some little pint sized twerp to frantically search for, then exhaust, all potential spurious reasons to spoil someone's day.

I watched that game in a hospital after having my appendix removed the previous day. A sickie from school to watch the game that went a bit too far
Half the kids in the country gave school a miss that day, including me.
The controversial referee turned out to be spying for the Stasi back home. Makes sense that someone attracted to refereeing would also enjoy grassing citizens in to the authorities. I'll bet some of our pint sized whistling twerps would go for that too.

All things considered, if I could time travel, I'd head back to this morning and advise myself to just stay in the garden.

Was beginning to think the early delay involving the ref was a VAR check. Especially given that f**k all had happened in the lead up to it.

Ticket website only offering the print at home option. Presume you can also scan these from your phone at the gate?

Good article on Stevie Cowan. Interesting to read the circumstances when big Jim Clunie let him go.

Presume references to players being "snapped up" as soon as they were free agents is a convenient euphemism for guys who had been tapped up by Fergie while they still weren't free agents.

I'm hearing Stuart Kettlewell cannae take it.

Recall Jim Goodwin ending Scott Severin's career in a challenge that was accepted as accidental, and precisely no one was salty about it despite Jim's pantomime villain reputation.

I always go back to when St Mirren opened their new stadium in the middle of winter, and week after week you were hearing compliments from the opposition about the novelty of playing on a pristine surface at that time of year.
Then we knocked Celtic out of the Scottish Cup on it and the pitch genuinely got its own trial by Sportscene feature for being "too firey" and other such pish.

Viaplay will still try to screen the Celtic game in the next round.

We've entered the spurious penalty claim phase of the match.

Will be interested to see how the various parties spin Spain winning a World Cup after the rebel episode, with the rebels mostly still missing.
I read an article yesterday portraying the coach as a (now World Cup winning) dumpling and implying that the players had been left out, whereas the BBC commentator said today that those players had excluded themselves, which is a big difference to the narrative.

Just now, Silvio said:
Kettlewell conveniently forgetting McGinn's tackle immediately after Dunne and the fact Mugabi was an absolute stone wall red card.
Shades of the time Motherwell were crying to the compliance officer about Jim Goodwin banjoing that dodgy Scouse gambler guy, but were seemingly completely oblivious that their own boy had done enough during the incident to get himself a two game ban as well.
Which he then got. Which they then cried about too.

Best sightseeing tip I ever received about going up skyscrapers and the like was to time your visit so you get up there just before it gets dark, then you get the day and night views for the price of one.
