121 Years ago to the date of the 20th February 1897, Heart of Midlothian FC clinched their 2nd Scottish League Title with a 5-0 thrashing of Clyde at Tynecastle Park.
Hibs led the race for the title for most of the season and on the 5th Dec 1896, Hibs could have secured the title with a win at Tynecastle, but a Tom Robertson goal defeated the greens and more or less ended their title dream. Hearts completed their fixtures and secured the Championship.
