Get him to the glue factory. Shouldn’t play for us again.

He definitely brings something when fully fit, but with the squad size we're looking to run with for the foreseeable we can't afford to keep persisting with him. I reckon he'll be off in the summer, and may struggle to find a full-time gig again given his long list of injuries.

I'm not sure how explicit Imrie and Oakley himself have to be in their repeated definitive statements that there is absolutely no fucking chance Oakley is making it for tonight before people accept that he is not going to make it tonight. "End of the month at the earliest" and "I just won't make it, another couple of weeks" out of their mouths and still people are clutching at non-existent straws.

We were probably getting a shafting even with him in the team, but in his absence we need to stop fucking about with Quitongo up front and Muirhead out wide. It's a massive downgrade either way but get Muirhead through the middle, Quitongo and Garrity out wide and try to get into the final third by getting it to the feet of the front three rather than clinging to the forlorn hope that playing off second balls the way we can when Oakley and Wilson are in the team could ever work without them.

We'll more than likely get carved open anyway and with Naismith having watched us once he'll have identified what every Championship manager has in that going down our right will guarantee chances because Tyler French exists, but he's so bad that persisting with Blues on the right to protect him doesn't matter. We know chances will come from that side anyway so we have to hope the rest of the defence and Mullen can deal with covering him, at least switching to actual wingers will give us a shot at creating something in possession.

According to the BBC preview, Quitongo is out. Didn’t see him in any of the training clips at the weekend either.

On Oakley, I’m getting the impression he’s going to make a surprise appearance. The wording of the denials of any chance of him playing are a bit unconvincing. Could Imrie and Oakley be trying to mislead Hearts? I really hope so.

I hope you’re right but that’s more out of desperation than anything else. He did say he “probably” won’t make it, then change to definitely but who knows.

Yeah, not taking anything away from the finish. Just don’t understand where MacDonald was positioned considering where the ball came from.

MacDonald is playing through quite a bad injury by the sounds of it. Good on him for playing, but we’d be far better off getting an emergency loan in over a goalie gifting goals.

There'll be a lot of venting about the referee but we didn't deserve anything from that game and performance. It was good finish from McKay for the first goal and Inverness dug in when they had to, but there were far too many flat performances from our perspective.

Agreed, despite the referee losing control we were awful from start to finish. Muirhead putting in a pre-Imrie performance didn’t help things either.
Inverness stifled anything we tried to do after they took the lead and somehow wasted an obscene amount of time and got away with it.
I’d be started Bearne on Tuesday ahead of McGrattan who put in a terrible performance too.

Wilson, Oakley and Mullen to miss out again tomorrow. 3 important players up the spine of the team but that basically just leaves the team that played against Raith anyway so I'm still confident. Blues into the middle, Muirhead up top and then we're spoiled for choice out wide.

Won't be as easy as some seem to think, would take a rerun of the Airdrie game as long as we just score more goals than them.

Where are you seeing the news about Oakley & Mullen?

ETA - just seen in the Tele. F**k.

That was brutal.  Trying to play flair players against a bunch of thugs is never going to work.  Should have had Matthews on to shore the back 4 and let Broonie get forward to support Stanton.  That would have tightened the usual acres of space left to the opposition in midfield.

Hamilton played a good game drawing their defenders into fouls and yellies.

Stats show we were toothless and had 3 shots, 1 on target to Mortons 11.  They had 60% possesion too.
Imrie got them playing like a team full of Imries.  Dirty bordering on bullying.  Still, it works for them so fair dos.

Agreed. Power should have probably seen red for deliberately standing on Vaughan right in front of the ref also.

Sorry, what? Vaughan went down like he’d been shot right in front of the referee, then made a miraculous recovery straight away after achieving f**k all for diving on his arse again.

The referee was poor throughout but it was funny to see , Crawford I think, being apparently pole axed , only to reappear in seconds with a quick counter attack.

Morton are now a much better team than us and Rhys needs to somehow restore some credibility and structure to our squad.

Enjoyed the dry seat in the stand.

Taylor-Sinclair literally headbutted Crawford making no attempt to play the ball, how he never received a red for it I’ll never know. He ended up doing Oakley later in the game too, c*nt.

Crawford was also on the end of a heavy challenge towards the game and was noticeably limping around. We were out of subs so respect to him for playing through the pain barrier but I fear it may have made things worse long-term.
