Quite incredible reading Morton fans slating Calum Ferries performance today. One particular fucking idiot holding a performance from over a year ago over him. Your own lord and saviour Dougie Imrie praising him in his post match interview, maybe when you calm down and watch the highlights you'll realise how good he is.

Your own fan stated he isn’t a bombscare, yet 2 simple gifs show that Ferrie is indeed a flapping mess.
Any time I’ve seen him he’s looked incompetent, and even today there were a couple of shaky moments. He’s definitely not the best keeper in this league.

If there’s any doubts as to whether Cal Ferrie is a bombscare goalie, I think today proved what a fantastic keeper he is at this level. The best keeper in the league no doubts

Every single save he made was straight at him, you’d have been raging if he didn’t stop any of them.
Ryan Mullen just had his 10th (IIRC) clean sheet in our last 14 games, I know who I’d rather have in our goal.

This is bullshit.  We've had several games down the years with no reduced capacity to accommodate live TV.  Why is it suddenly an issue?  There should be circa 10,000 at this.  No excuses.

7300 in for our first game vs Rangers in the league a few years ago with the pundits being housed in the Sinclair St end. It’s a complete nonsense if we are losing out on support + gate revenue because the BBC want 3 of their employees based down the front of the shed.

Then Dale had better be having a rethink because that's a shit show.

There's far to much space given up in the shed to presenters and easily fit an extra 1500 in there and another 1000 in sinclar St end. This needs sorted as a priority.

Yeah, utter shite cutting the capacity. Fill the Sinclair St end and sell tickets for it separately.

Unless I’ve missed some other constraints, I reckon:

Morton v Hearts*, Friday 8th March, 7.30pm, BBC Scotland

Aberdeen v Kilmarnock, Saturday 9th March, 12.15pm, BBC One Scotland

Celtic v Livingston, Saturday 9th March, 5.30pm, Viaplay

Hibs v Rangers, Sunday 10th March, 4pm, Viaplay

*I don’t think it’s an unfair assumption that Hearts will progress…

We’ve got a game on the Tuesday night at home to Dundee Utd, would hope that’s taken into consideration and we avoid a Friday game.

  6. The boy playing at RB/RCB is comfortably the worst defender I’ve seen at this level, somehow worse than the boy Ahui who sadly departed Ayr.
We couldn’t have started the game any better and I don’t think Mullen touched the ball for the first 15 mins.
We could’ve got a couple more goals but can’t complain with the scoreline, everyone excellent but thought Power and Wilson in the middle were superb.
It’s quite the turnaround compared to our last visit to EEP where we looked in a sorry state and somewhat in proper relegation trouble. Great to keep this run going and hopefully we can pull off a result at home to Motherwell on Friday.

The recent interview with the general manager hinted at one piece of remaining business in this window, shortly before Imrie's contract extension was announced. I assume that was what he was referring to and that there's probably nobody else coming in.

Which is fine. There are some weaknesses in the squad, but no immediately obvious upgrades on what we've already got.

I think we could do with a striker option off the bench as Jai clearly isn't fit and outside of Muirhead/Oakley and him, no one can really play through the middle if need be. Quite often Muirhead and Oakley look tired with 10/15 to go and that'll only get more obvious as the season goes on.

  8. Brown is probably one of the best appointments you could make and far less risky than some other names going about.

That being said, if he does get the job I'm interested to see the influence he has on your squad, particularly once he gets a summer transfer window. Unfortunately I ended up in Blackpool overnight for work last year and Fleetwood happened to be playing at home that evening vs Portsmouth so I headed along. Brown's team were absolutely powderpuff, with no one putting themselves about and always came off second best in a challenge. I remember being surprised at that given Brown's style of play back when he was at Celtic. He spent most of the game moaning at Stephen Whittaker/Fon Williams any time a player shat out a challenge/made an error, and they went on to lose 2-1 IIRC. I got speaking to a couple of Fleetwood supporters who said performances will like that most weeks.

Maybe he was hampered by budgets/board, but I came away from the game very surprised at Fleetwood's lack of effort and aggression that night.

I’d be happy with anyone outside of the OF, Hearts and Aberdeen at home. We’ve had Celtic/Rangers away far too many times recently, after a spell of Motherwell away in most cups - they’re probably due a shot of us again.

    Nearly. Bring it on!
