  1. Renewed my warriors season ticket for next season. Anyone seen or heard anything of work beginning on the new pitch?
  2. Glasgow sign a Fijian scrum half. I imagine we'll see Grayson Hart move on. I'd rather see him go and Ali Price be given more game time when Pyrgos is away with the national team. Hope Grayson Harts mum isn't reading this!
  3. Seems strange to do that. Younger players won't get enough game time at Glasgow or Edinburgh. Think it's been said before that there isn't enough money in the pot to establish a 3rd team. Also it wouldn't be a given that they'd be granted access to the Pro12.
  4. I thought it was a cracking day out. Good mix of fans, obviously a good amount of warriors, Ulster and Munster fans who'd bought tickets in advance hoping for the best, even saw a few bunches of Scarletts fans. Just enjoying the event itself. Some Edinburgh fans also, brass necking it a wee bit in my opinion when they've been nowhere near the playoffs or a final! Also the women who watch rugby are head and shoulders above those that watch football, we'll certainly the ones that watch Celtic! :-(
  5. If Glasgow lose out in the semi I'll be hoping Connacht win the final.
  6. Kind of finished up back where it started. They didn't use David Lee enough. Also the way Cary left was disappointing.
  7. That's as may be. He's still far and away the best referee in the pro12.
  8. I don't think there's any chance it'll sell out. If Glasgow and Leinster make the final or Glasgow v Ulster it's not inconceivable of a crowd in to the 40k region! They had already sold 26k by last week.
  9. They've opened up the top tier of the south stand for pro 12 final tickets, sales must be moving along nicely. I imagine a few thousand more will be hedging their bets and buying tickets once the semi final line up is confirmed!
  10. The £40 is for the platinum banded seats I think. I think mines is £35 or £30 for the semi final if it's at home. The athletics crowd can be as vocal as they like, you have some sympathy for them but really the track is always going to be there, people aren't clamouring to see the shot putt or hammer events so I don't think it makes a difference where those events take place or indeed where the folk taking part practice.
  11. There are already grass pitches there. I imagine some sort of run up area would also be required for javelin. The city council will do whatever is in their own best interest and as the primary fee paying tenant I imagine if push comes to shove over an artificial pitch being laid Glasgow and the SRU would ultimately get their way.
  12. There's been no official work on the relaying of the pitch or what type of surface it'll be. The hybrid pitch at Murrayfield cost over £1 million to install. I can't imagine they'd lay out that kind of money at a ground the SRU don't own.
  13. Renewed mine for the winter tests and six nations. We sit in E20
  14. This would be wonderful. It's great how competitive the pro 12 is going in to the final game of the season again with a number of possible finishes to the order of the top 4.
  15. Surely his obligation to Glasgow supersedes a 7s tournament. There must be a few more of those events prior to the Olympics. Over 26000 tickets sold for the Pro12 final so far. Imagine a bigger rush on tickets once finalists are confirmed with people holding off.
  16. I can't imagine he'd want to miss the semi final in order to play 7s?
  17. How much game time has Nico had since moving to Bath? I have a browse at team sheets every so often and I haven't seen his name since early in the season. Do the same for Jackson who seems to have become lost in the shuffle at wasps, Cusiter another who's dropped off the radar.
  18. Glasgow confirm that Nakawara will leave at the end of this season for France.
  19. Mike Blair retires with immediate effect. Will take up a coaching position at Glasgow. Was pleased to have him this season in the absence of Pyrgos.
  20. It didn't work for Ulster last season. The home semi final would be the most important to achieve. I think Glasgow have the strength in depth to make changes and still be capable of beating Connacht two weeks in a row.
  21. 2nd seems like the best Glasgow can finish. That would mean playing third and a game against Connacht if we finish above them. Either way it's looking like back to back games against them, last game of the season over there and hopefully a home semi final.
