The first - I think this conclusion could be your, and SNP/Scottish Nationalist major mistake. That a bad Brexit = increase in indy voting. The second - The SNP at Holyrood are becoming less popular, and with a smaller pool of voters. Where people might have voted for them as an alternative to main parties, now mainly nationalists will vote for them. Instead of asking why the support for SNP still high, you would be better off asking why support for independence in Scotland hasn't grown. And having a think that perhaps watching a bad Brexit = why would we do that to ourselves twice?

(this is why Nicola and pro-scot-nationalists are dying a death, they might have been on the cutting edge of real change, but they are not that now)

My take is - Corbyn is more progressive than most people. Corbyn represents the most amount of change of any political figure anywhere near power in a long time. I reckon Corbyn would not mind losing Commonwealth, UK, and everything else, including the EU. Like everything, nato, the lot. New relationships with everybody, and everything. If Corbyn gets to be in power, Scottish Nationalists could have a easier path to win a referendum on Scottish Indy.
