  1. I can see him going to the Pars. Huge problems in central defence and not averse to splashing cash in tsf window.

Potter and Co have surprised us before with signings, and I have no doubt they know who they want, or are even negotiating with. They won't be awaiting a decision from Dan without knowing what happens next.

I think Matthews and Vaughan are both certains to stay… Ethan Ross will be off rumoured to be one of our higher earners….. I think we will keep Millen but let Watson, Dick, Masson Go, Corr is 50/50.

Easton I hate to say but I think he’ll be away imo I think his head has already been turned as he’s not been the same since the Dundee United game.

Byrne I think there’s already something done In the background in terms of a PCA bit just not announcing it and but I do think maybe 1 or 2 comes depending on both O’Reilly and if Dundee recalls Shaun Byrne

You think there's something done with Byrne but also wonder if Dundee will recall him?

    Shurely shome mishtake.

  3. Agreed. I thought IM sounded very non- committal when asked, which surprised me. I can't imagine why we wouldn't want to keep Dan. Even if/when Watson returns, after such a layoff he will be some considerable way off match fitness and will remain an injury risk for some time (imo). And here's a guy who loves playing for us, is doing well and would assist greatly in a part of the squad where we're exposed.

    Get him signed.

Oh yes, the entire stand chanting “Who’s the wee team now?” definitely sounded like people who didn’t care.

Think vast majority of Pars fans would rather Rovers won the league than United tbh and any disappointment/frustration from today is purely from our own failings.

You know better than to mistake a banter song for real feelings.

Yeah. Both defensive injuries seemed like a great opportunity to do that, but McPake would rather stick with a system/game plan that wasn’t working. It’s really strange.

It's not so strange. I don't think he knows any better.

A blind man running for a bus could see what you should have done today, but still you ploughed on.

His tactical nous was castigated before and when he was emptied at Dundee. A successful campaign against the posties, fishermen and salesmen of League 1 seems to have bought him unending patience from the KDM stadium regulars; a patience which seems puzzling from afar. That and seemingly blind faith in not very good players (Wighton, Jakubiak, Chalmers to name but 3) will not be enough to get you back in the playoff places.

As posted earlier, with mounting injuries you may be at the top of a slippery slope unless ze Germans release ze cash account in the transfer window.

What? I’d have said we scored against the run of play. We certainly weren’t well on top. Thought we started quite brightly for the first 10 minutes, then conceded a goal and fell apart until we got an equaliser. I’m genuinely confused that anyone would think we were ‘well on top’ when we scored.

Your ParsTV commentators thought you were. A pair of deluded goons.

100% this. Rovers are a good championship team, they set up to win games, no matter what it takes. They’ve obviously done that very well so far too.

We just looked totally lost late on and, as I say, couldn’t exploit the obvious weakness, up against a one-legged keeper. Players should have been shooting on sight, to the keeper’s right. Balls into the box should have been on top of him, since he clearly wasn’t wanting to come and catch the ball. But none of the coaches or players can even spot that really obvious weakness.

I have to agree. At what point do you guys start questioning McPake? From a distance you're surviving despite his management, not thanks to it, and with even more injuries today, there's a slippery slope just waiting for you.

  8. Folks. I'll miss Saturday due to illness. Actually been in hospital (Vic) since 23rd and hopefully getting home tomorrow, but if Tx isn't wheeled out at half time in a ten gallon hat, a western shirt, leather waistcoat and chaps, a pair of snakeskin boots, spinning two 6 shooters and chewing baccy, I'll be very disappointed. Oh and of course needs to be part of the Inside Matchday feature.

    Please make it happen.

Going back to 94-95 (first season of the second level playing 36 games and awarding 3 points for a win), and showing 34 or more points after 16 matches, except the 98-99 Hibs team that finished on fire. Bold matches or exceeds Rovers total. As you can see, Hearts and Rangers all topped our points, and DU and St. Mirren matched them.

95-96, Pars had 34 points after 16 matches.

96-97, St. Johnstone had 37 points after 16 matches.

97-98, Dundee had 34 points after 16 matches.

98-99, Hibs had only 32 points after 16 matches, but ended with 89.

99-00, St. Mirren had 39 points after 16 matches.

00-01, Livingstone had 34 points after 16 matches.

02-03, Falkirk had 36 points after 16 matches.

04-05, Falkirk had 37 points after 16 matches.

05-06, St. Mirren had 36 points after 16 matches.

07-08, Accies had 34 points after 16 matches.

11-12, Ross County had 35 points after 16 matches.

14-15, Hearts had 44 points after 16 matches.

15-16, Rangers had 41 points after 16 matches.

16-17, Hibs had 34 points after 16 matches.

19-20, Dundee United had 39 points after 16 matches.

20-21, Hearts had 37 points after 16 matches.

You do need to get out more, Tex
