  1. Consider this a change of gear if you like, but have you seen those annoying "Play the Scotto" adverts? Guy look familiar?

I looked him up - name is Tommy Hetherston. Has to be a cousin of Peter - roughly same age, same looks, comes from Lanarkshire.

Not interesting enough to make me play the bloody thing, but wondered if you'd spotted it too.

After the handbags at Starks, the reported print outs pinned to Dunfermline's dressing room wall (lol) and the online shenanigans I reckon Dunfermline will be well up for this so I do have some niggling worries ahead of this match. It's also a lottery to who we see in defence.

I do have my reservations starting Masson at centre back in this game if he's fit. I can't see Corr starting. I reckon we'll see O'Reilly starting and ideally a cool head alongside him would be good. Because we're so light at the back and/or relying on a youngster (possibly Masson) and O'Reilly who hasn't played a game this season (from what I'm led to believe) we really could do with a bit of defensive protection in midfield hence Brown and Byrne in midfield would be ideal. On the flipside Brown alongside O'Reilly might be Murray's preferred option. If McGill is fit I'd happily see McGill at left back and Dick alongside O'Reilly. Frees up Brown to go back to his natural position. The inclusion of Hamilton gives us a bit of aerial presence up top if we do have to go long. The rest of the team picks itself.

    Well, that's not happening.

Will be going but can't force excitement where there isn't any above a normal game. They mentioned it on Sportsound to McPake about it being a massive humfin heavin' hairy fixture with a big crowd and...its just not.

Sure the Rovers fans will be right up for it as they'll expect to turn us over at oor bit but fancy us to win.

It's all quiet through here too. Not a lot of excitement and, like you, we'd much rather win our league games. Neither of us is going to win the Scottish Cup.

He was playing for a pub team last year so be interesting to see him in a proper team. I remember him and before the sending off he looked physical and solid.

This gives me the fear, going into a derby match against the wee team. Hopefully there are good reasons he was without a senior club but in any case I'm sure Messrs Potter, Murray etc know what they're doing.

  5. We instigated cursory searches at Stark's and it was primarily the teens, usually all in black, who were targeted. A friend of mine was there with his grandson and the wee fella got searched too, which caused my mate some consternation, but it was pretty much a token gesture and only played havoc with the queue times. Self policing is a grand idea but birds of a feather and all that... It would be a brave footsoldier who would clipe on others in the same section. If, as a previous post said, you have good lighting and cameras,  you should be able to ID these wee erses. We've not had them throwing stuff at Stark's (odd pyro aside) and I hope we never do, but if it's not clamped down, it'll cost you.

  6. Airdrie today easily one of the best sides we've faced. Comfortable on ball, crisp passing and not just hoofing it. Vaughan and Easton need to score chances like they had, and Connolly's looked in, but Dabrowski made some great saves and they hit the bar. Last season we'd likely have lost that. A tough week and no complaints from me. Airdrie will take plenty points from everyone else.

We don't deserve to win games with defending like that! Two wee guys scoring from headers is just ridiculous .

Wilson was our best player tonight and I can only assume he had a niggle and had to come off.

Gillespie - good grief! No idea what excuse you can use to explain that performance.

We certainly had chances but didn't take them. Raith did and that is how you win games.

The balance is not right in the team. Dougie tried 5 at the back then reverted to a 4, but we lacked width.

Draw may have been a fair result but at the end of the day Raith took their chances so no complaints they went away with 3 points

Aidan Connolly and, er, Aidan Connolly...
