Massive gamble
It's not even a gamble though. He can't kick, can't dive, positioning suffers as a result - its madness, and there's no need.

These commentators, really. Someone send them a teamsheet - all you need to do is look up the number and it'll tell you the player's name.
As for their biased drivel...

Plucky Dunfermline not out of this yet.

Elbow to the head to knock Fisher out and Vaughan wasn’t even booked? Pathetic from the ref.
Clearly NOT an elbow to the head, then.
On another note, have the ParsTV commentators won a competition to be allowed to describe the action?

Folks. I'll miss Saturday due to illness. Actually been in hospital (Vic) since 23rd and hopefully getting home tomorrow, but if Tx isn't wheeled out at half time in a ten gallon hat, a western shirt, leather waistcoat and chaps, a pair of snakeskin boots, spinning two 6 shooters and chewing baccy, I'll be very disappointed. Oh and of course needs to be part of the Inside Matchday feature.
Please make it happen.

Ayr were bloody good against us on Friday. Home win. Probably.

Going back to 94-95 (first season of the second level playing 36 games and awarding 3 points for a win), and showing 34 or more points after 16 matches, except the 98-99 Hibs team that finished on fire. Bold matches or exceeds Rovers total. As you can see, Hearts and Rangers all topped our points, and DU and St. Mirren matched them.
95-96, Pars had 34 points after 16 matches.
96-97, St. Johnstone had 37 points after 16 matches.
97-98, Dundee had 34 points after 16 matches.
98-99, Hibs had only 32 points after 16 matches, but ended with 89.
99-00, St. Mirren had 39 points after 16 matches.
00-01, Livingstone had 34 points after 16 matches.
02-03, Falkirk had 36 points after 16 matches.
04-05, Falkirk had 37 points after 16 matches.
05-06, St. Mirren had 36 points after 16 matches.
07-08, Accies had 34 points after 16 matches.
11-12, Ross County had 35 points after 16 matches.
14-15, Hearts had 44 points after 16 matches.
15-16, Rangers had 41 points after 16 matches.
16-17, Hibs had 34 points after 16 matches.
19-20, Dundee United had 39 points after 16 matches.
20-21, Hearts had 37 points after 16 matches.
You do need to get out more, Tex

Dunfermline supporters, reading that Sam, the Pars Slayer (copyright BBC Scotland), will be around for another 2 years at least.

Not good at songs, but still maybe useful for the next Pars match...

"You are our Stanton
Our big Sam Stanton
You make us happy
As you pass the ball
You’ll surely know now
How the Pars hate you
So don’t take
Our Stanton away"
It's a "no" from me....

In fairness to Dundee United, based on what I’ve seen today, if they do spend a bit of money wisely in the January transfer window, they could sneak up via the playoffs.
Good luck to them, and all the best for the season ahead!Plucky Utd etc

Brilliant win and solidifies us into third place nicely. A few well timed points deductions handed out above us and who knows what’ll happen.
Whit?

Seriously though lads, I know you lost Hamilton at the last minute and Vaughan didn’t start, but if that’s what you’ve got you will not win the league. Lucky injury time winners do go on for ever.
Er, righto chief.

Partick came back in the game with a turning up of the wick where they started winning second balls after our second goal. Compact in the back would possibly allow Smith/Connolly/Vaughan/Mullin/ Millen/Dick/Easton to take pot shots and cross from their favored spots while Hamilton and Stanton make beastly nuisances of themselves in the mixer. If we get time in the middle, it’ll be a long night for Arbroath.
Wtf Anglo/Yankee balderdash is this?

Best chance in years to smash us, comfortable 0-3, we could have afforded Jacks wages but dick/board disagreed. You will be 2nd, UTD will win.
I suspect Jack may also have disagreed with the prospect.

Great game, swinging to and fro. Thistle are two players short - a CD and defensive CM! Hopefully sorted in January. Fair play to Raith, they look a good side. A Great effort from the Jags to get back in it after a poor first half. Just can't close it off, but a good effort against a team unbeaten at home in the league and with more than double our playing budget.

Has anyone seen that Tarmo chap this morning? Hope he's OK, after his breakdown yesterday evening.

Na bud we’re just riding the wave right now, don’t think any of our fans seriously believe we can challenge Dundee Utd for the league but we’re enjoying the ride so far this season. Ultimately your strength in depth should be too much for the other 9 teams in this division and I’m sure you’ve got the resources to bring in a player or two come January if you’re not clear of us. Looking forward to our away day to Tannadice not been before and hopefully we’ll bring a good support up.
I do.

Just wait until we can pick our first choice XI. We're going to get some good results.

As a club that has won actual trophies we would be happy to oblige
Astonishing lack of self awareness on display here. Doubling down from such a low position is surely a cry for help.

Not sure why Raith fans were getting above their station after 1 Billy Dodds win over us in about 20 years. Bizarre. Know your place.
How did this work out for you, you most tedious and contrived of ICT punters?
