  1. Only 277 tickets left for the Alloa game now Still selling very well at almost 100 a day The club are going to have to get a bit more creative with the segregation so we can have 5 sections of home support like vs Ross County and QotS in 2005
  2. Apparently we've signed Michael McKenna from Arbroath. He is 33 now but still very happy with this if true
  3. I doubt it unfortunately. I'm sure we had to fill them something like 3 times to break even on the rent which is why we've only ever had them in the top league Nothing stopping us having a couple of hundred punters standing along the barrier at the east side though if the demand is there.
  4. 342 tickets left for the North Stand now, around 6,600 in total sold Obviously we've already surpassed our highest home gate, but not many total attendances left to top now since we moved to the new stadium: 7,926 vs Dundee Utd 16/17 7,851 vs Hibs 15/16 7,804 vs Sevco 15/16 7,735 vs Hearts 14/15 7,672 vs Hibs 14/15 7,636 vs Kilmarnock 15/16 7,492 vs Sevco 14/15 7,488 vs Sevco 15/16 7,279 vs Dunfermline 22/23 7,081 vs Hibs 15/16 7,049 vs Kilmarnock 09/10 7,003 vs Hearts 14/15 6,947 vs Dunfermline 10/11 6,927 vs Sevco 14/15 Should be able to get by a few more of these I reckon. I've highlighted the games in red where the opposition were given the increased 3,400 allocation For reference we had 7,300 for the last ever game at Brockville and trophy day vs Inverness in 02/03, though I believe that was sold out.
  5. Nesbitt and Miller were outstanding yesterday. Particularly the former, MotM for me and one of our top performers this year. Always been capable of turning in that level of performance but has been so much more consistent this season. When he plays well, the team plays well. As others have said we cruised it without having to get out of second gear. Accies didnt really create anything of note, pretty sure Rose was flagged offside for his header in the first half Based on that and the previous games I reckon Hamilton will do fine in the play offs tbh. Especially as Martin will probably be match-fit just in time. A decent side with lots of good players for this level. No shame in not being to live with the Navy Blue Juggernaut. Hopefully they manage to relegate Queens Park in the process, an even more tinpot outfit. Ps top work by Tait at the opening goal, possibly the most worthwhile booking of all time in professional football. Watching back on Alba they said he has his fingers in his ears, looked to me like he was actually making crying eyes gestures? Hope McGlynn is on the phone to Hibs right now about getting him back for next season
  6. Massive queues at the turnstiles at one side of the stand an no queue at the other end at all btw.
  7. I was at that first game up at Cove and we were by far the better side. Yes we grabbed a late equaliser but we played really well and should have pumped them. Cove scored from a dodgy penalty and a horrendous Brad McKay error, who hasnt played for us since. The new additions were already beginning to look like quality signings (particularly Spencer, Agyeman & Miller) and it was very much a sign of things to come. I dont think it would have made any difference if we had lost 2-1 to how the rest of our season would have panned out. Maybe then we wouldn't have had the drive to snatch the late equaliser at Edinburgh, but in general we've been far too good and would have hoovered up a shit tonne of points regardless
  8. Aye that Morten team are a team of absolute hammer throwers. They must be coming up to some sort of world record for bookings. What a wee shame to see their season peter out tonight
  9. Confident Yeats and Mackie will resign Don't see any reason why we couldn't get Dylan Tait on loan again next season given we'll be in a higher league Ross is the one I see as being less likely, surely he isn't going to be happy playing second fiddle to Morrison, Nesbitt and Miller? A quality player who will have plenty of options from other Championship sides and will want first team football imo
  10. Yep, over 1,300 sold so far. Understandably not as many as we took for the game in December but should still be a decent turnout, maybe 1,500 ish
  11. What a very lovely amount of sold seats for the Alloa game
  12. Dont really see it being an issue tbh. We won't need more than 7,300 tickets and Alloa won't need more than 300 Hopefully we can put on a good show and get as many of them back for next season as possible. Even if we can convert 1 in 10 out of the roughly 2k day trippers that will make a difference to the club going forward
  13. No reason why we couldn't split the North Stand like this, was done that way against Ross County the last time we won the league That would open up another 306 seats for home supporters and still leave more than enough space for the Alloa fans
  14. Over 6k tickets sold for the Alloa game now
  15. We should absolutely be keeping Agyeman and Ross. The fact both can play anywhere behind the front 3 is a bonus as well so can slot in anywhere if Morriaon, Nesbitt or Miller picks up an injury. Both have been unlucky that the players ahead of them have been excellent all season and have had limited game time but really like the look of what I've seen. Both would walk into any other side in the league imo and can't wait to see them unleashed on some championship fullbacks next season after being terrorised by Miller & Morrison for an hour
  16. Fair play to Mackie and Tait. Really thought we would miss Lang and Henderson but they have been excellent since coming in. Especially Tait, what a fucking baller he is and MotM today for me. Fyvie is clearly Cove's best player by a distance but should have been off for his ridiculous kick out at McCann. May he continue to rot away the rest of his career at this level, along with Hartley. The only regret was not taking 10 off the greasy tramp with some sloppy finishing. Another really enjoyable game and great to see Agyeman get another goal off the bench which his play deserved. Thought there would be a bit of a hangover from last week's party but totally professional throughout. Onto Hamilton next week now and 4 games left to keep the unbeaten run going
  17. It was only 3-1 at HT last week tbf and we should really be further ahead than that already
  18. Main Stand almost completely sold out for the Alloa game now which is great to see. Should be our biggest home gate since moving to the stadium I reckon
  19. Absolutely torn between Morrison, Donaldson, Lang & Spencer. All four have been massive for us Will probably go for the former, signing that new deal clinches it for me
  20. Of all the terrible ideas I've read on P&B this is certainly up there. It would look absolutely ridiculous If nothing else there is quite simply no demand for new office space in the town and there is already a large unused area in the main stand if we did want to expand the hospitality offering, or stick some in the new stand
  21. I think Hamilton this season are also a reflection of what we were last season. Capable of playing good football and racking up pretty decent winning runs (Q1 for them, Q3 for us last season), but ultimately not consistent enough to mount a proper title challenge over 36 matches and will finish on around 70 points. The majority of our team is unchanged from last season apart from 4 key additions which were upgrades on what we had (especially Lang and Spencer), highlighted below Hogarth Yeats Donaldson Lang McCann Spencer Henderson Morrison Nesbitt Miller MacIver Couple that with adding better options to our bench such as Dylan Tait, Ethan Ross, Alfie Agyeman etc and the transformation has been huge. That Hamilton squad isn't a million miles away from being turned into league winners but I'm not convinced they are a better side than we were last season, or that getting rid of Rankin will solve all their problems.
  22. And here's that list of the 12 in front adjusted for an average of 1-200 away supporters like what we have had this season: 1. Celtic 58,000 2. The Rangers 48,500 3. Hearts 18,000 5. Aberdeen 15,500 6. Hibs 15,000 6. Dundee United 7,500 7. Dundee 5,200 8. St Mirren 5,000 9. Dunfermline 5,000 10. Falkirk 4,600 11. Kilmarnock 4,500 12. Motherwell 4,000 13. St Johnstone 2,800 St Mirren's crowds are up a fair bit because of the season they're having, five seasons in league 1 and they'd be getting half of that like they were when they were struggling in the Championship. Dunfermline's figure gives us a realistic idea of what we can expect next season. Raith would knock St Johnstone off 13th spot based on home fans only, as would Partick Thistle
  23. Airdrie and Dunfermline are pretty much exactly where I expected them to be in the Championship this season, regardless of budget. Without their injury crisis Dunfermline would probably be 3rd McCabe has certainly done a good job at Airdrie but the idea of him being in the running for MotY is laughable. Good to see that despite reaching the championship the fans of the 'league cup group stage winners' are as tinpot as ever
