  1. We were standing beside some of Rory's pals on Saturday, and when he came over to speak to them at the end of the game, he was muttering "no service" ..... I wanted to reassure him that CJ & Gardyne will provide!! Sooner they are back the better.... Worried about Aiden... any update?
  2. Why he didn’t get a yellow card for that kick out of the park….??! surely that’s bookable?
  3. Poor Ronnie!! Doubly ironic,as it looked like he was gonna get a start this season!
  4. The young keeper made some great saves against Dundee, well maybe two.... assuming Annie is just on holiday and will be back? does anyone know?
  5. Everyone ok? I'm just about coping.... is it saturday yet?
  6. Montrose came out hard n fast, and then hung on a bit. I was also glad to see half time.... CJ can do no wrong in my eyes, but i thought he was particularly troublesome last night. Webby's best game in ages too..... considering he's not an out n out defender usually. Just after the goal, that through ball from Webby to CammyB, was sublime! We are missing too many of Gardyne's crosses in front of goal for my liking, hoping we don't live to rue those misses. Still, i would have bit your hand off for a 1-0 cushion going into Game2
  7. Credit where credit is due your keeper saved a fair few, coulda been 6
  8. Great game, and real determination to come back from 0-1. 2-3 great saves first half from Flem, which had they gone in, we were in another game entirely. So gotta give Falkirk that credit at least, but that's about all you can say. What the hell is with the falling about for bugger all? There were some pitch perfect tackles going in, and they're going down like they'd been shot! And wailing and gnashing of teeth for every decision not in their favour. I'm sorry but the ref was atrocious for both teams! I don't think we were playing dirty, with the exception of Terry being Terry, but that's why we love him (in our team). My MOTM was Cammy B, best he's been in ages! So much like his old self! (altho there wasn't a failure on the pitch, and noone had a quiet game.) Shame Queens couldn't do us more of a favour, but keeping Airdie in sight is fine...... How long until we are mathematically safe???? must be soon!
  9. You'll have to change your name to "(not the real) Ivo den Bieman" To avoid confusion! lol!
  10. Good shout! if Blair can find his "inner Blair lyons" again we'd be golden!
  11. Sakes! Thought I'd wandered into the Arbroath thread there, glad to see we are back on topic.... Never mind who we need to bring in, who would we have to get rid of to make room for a striker?
  12. Thanks Yogi for taking the pressure off us..... I give him 9-12 months and the Petrie Pars Manager story will rise again! (especially if we make the playoffs!)
  13. There are some Stoney and Aberdeen folks travelling to the Mo as well, myself included.... That wouldn't happen if the club wasn't doing all the right things for the fans. There's definitely a different kind of ambition with Cove/Queens/Arbroath/Kelty. They are all eyes skyward, whereas Montrose are more modest in their ambitions. As someone already said Queens have a pot of cash, but very little means to make more when it runs out. I think Cove are a different prospect financially from the likes of Arbroath and Kelty as the have the Oil money and a lot of Aberdeen businesses are very disillusioned with Pittodrie so are turning to Cove as their local team. Cove's sponsorship/hospitality department are relentlessly in pursuit of ££!
  14. no, he's awful.... wouldn't touch him with a bargepole etc etc etc on yer way pal!
  15. 11 years ago?? no way! heads off to google it.....
  16. There should be a montrose highlights up soon... someone will post the link
  17. 2 goals from open play, maybe Webby is becoming who we need..... That extra bit of service from having 4 up front worked? Noone can really grudge a penalty saved, especially after Milne's honker of a miss last week. Speaking of penalties.... how can we always seem to be at a disadvantage from the ref, and yet we are on close to a penalty per game?! - it's so confusing!!
  18. yes, yes we are..... Like scorge said, woulda took a point beforehand, but getting a bit sick of throwing 2 - 0 leads into the sea. Give Webby the keys to the town now...!
  19. Nice of you to turn up this time though..... . Could you not have just saved us the expense and forfeited this one too....! not that it would have done us any good, but it woulda saved the club time and money. Long way to go for a pre season friendly.
  20. Well i was feeling alright this morning, I felt like i'd come to terms with it, until i saw that picture!!
  21. Agree re Terry and Kerr last night, they were taking no shite.... Rusty is coming into his own as a holding midfielder, rather than a run onto it striker. Hope he stays and works on that. That said we are then a striker light (nothing new there!).... I thought Flem had a lot of safe steady saves/catches but three goals doesn't lie. Altho the 3rd was (sob!) down to a mistake outfield, and anyone who knows me, knows i don't say that lightly - That and the fact it was a cross not a strike! You could pin point any given mistake along the whole season to the eventual outcome overall, but that doesn't benefit anyone and does a disservice to the fighting spirit our boys have shown. One refreshing change is that we have had the breaks with other results / teams doing us a favour a couple of times, especially in the play off results. So if anything that kinda shows that we were maybe punchin a wee bit and it's a blessing really. Honestly, just so proud of what the club and the squad has achieved this year.... I'm just sad that we miss out on the chance of a 500 fans home game, and a chance to watch them live on the telly...... Woulda been a great way to cap off the strangest season ever!
