  1. Which going by McGinn's interview on FTV is Saturday, so possibly next week.
  2. Aye that's it, he should have been scoring from his own half as least once every 3 games as that's how far back we had him playing all season.
  3. Last point i'll make on Telfer as football's opinion based so of course we're not all going to agree. Here's the stats from the rest of the centre midfielders/attacking midfielders in the league last season. Tried my best to keep it to players who played centrally. Dylan Easton - 8 goals, 9 assists Charlie Telfer - 5 goals, 8 assists Luca Connell - 7 goals, 5 assists Stefan Scougall - 4 goals, 8 assists Fraser Fyvie - 8 goals, 2 assists Grant Savoury - 6 goals, 4 assists Scott Brown - 6 goals, 3 assists Rhys Mccabe - 5 goals, 4 assists Adam Frizzell - 3 goals, 5 assists
  4. He was one of our only players the last few seasons that was capable of going and winning a game for us. With the 20 players we currently have signed up for next season you can only really say that about Callumn Morrison at the moment. Still plenty of work to be done right enough.
  5. That being said I'd take Savoury as his replacement and he'd most likely be on less of a wage than Telfer.
  6. We played him out of position all season last year, had him sitting far too deep to affect the game. He should have been playing as the 10 but due to our horrendous recruitment he was left trying to do it all in the middle of the park. Just imagine having to try play in the middle of the park with Gary Miller & Steven Hetherington?
  7. Any news on what's happening with Simon Murray? We were rumoured to have signed him on a pre contract but obviously they count for nothing these days.
  8. At the moment you've definitely got the best strike partnership in the league with Ohara and Wighton. I couldn't believe you put Wighton out on loan last season, Mcpake played with him at Dundee so he'll know how to get the best out of him.
  9. Can only assume McGlynn thought he could make better use of his wage, as Telfer was our best player last season so it was a strange one letting him go.
  10. Ethan's street's ahead of Seb, as was shown in the cup game against us last season.
  11. I'd have loved to have seen Telfer in the 10 with a bit more of an energetic player in beside McGinn.
  12. Still required: Right back Back up centre back Energetic centre midfielder x2 Winger Striker x2
  13. He didn't get a fair shot last season but from the little we saw of him he doesn't look to have any sort of end product. I wouldn't be adverse to having him as a squad player but I wouldn't want to count on him as a starter.
  14. Goalkeeper PJ Morrison Paddy Martin Luke Holt Defenders Blair Sneddon Ryan Williamson Brad Mckay Leon McCann Paul Watson Liam Henderson Coll Donaldson Sean Mackie Midfielders Stephen Mcginn Callumn Morrison Steven Hetherington Aidan Nesbitt Craig Mcguffie Seb Ross Strikers Gary Oliver Jaime Wilson Finlay Malcolm 20 of a squad but looking forward to the pictures of preseason next week to see how many of that 20 are still there.
  15. We still need a fair few players before I start getting them vibes, he however is an excellent player who will set the standards for the rest of the team. Thus hopefully helping us breed a winning culture. Need someone with decent legs in around him so he can concentrate on dictating the game.
  16. PJ Morrison, Henderson and McGinn are excellent signings at this level. Remember McGinn's just went and won the league with Killie whilst having to also carry Blair Alston on his shoulders every game. Donaldson, Mackie and Oliver will be more than acceptable at this level none of them are exciting signings on their own but players McGlynn knows well and obviously trusts. I doubt McGlynn will get many more permanent signings so hopefully they are the right players as we need a lot more energy in the team now. Savoury would do nicely. Quality at this level more often than not tends to come from loans, so hopefully McGlynn can come up trumps with them nearer the start of the season.
  17. I think it signals towards Mcglynn not fancying him. Mccann will be on a decent contract especially seen as we gave him a 3 year deal, us now signing another left back looks to me as if he's off. Cue him joining a championship club and having a blinder of a season.
  18. PJ New Donaldson Henderson Mackie McGinn New Morrison New New New 5 to go John.
  19. Extremely impressed with the McGinn signing, we've been missing someone who can dictate a game in the middle of the park for a while. Need to get some legs in beside him now. Mackie and Oliver are a bit meh but really all that matters is how they perform in the navy blue. Mcglynn's comments on Oliver have put me at ease as he's obviously not seen as the main striker just an option.
  20. We've signed Stepheh Mcginn, Sean Mackie and Gary Oliver.
  21. Wouldn't be much of an improvement on Mccann imo, Mcglynn obviously trusts him and it may even be Mackie's not going to be playing left back as I think he's quite versatile.
  22. £3 for a lovely big bacon baguette and hot drink in the morning.
