We weren't unlucky, we gave away two soft goals thanks to repeat offenders and have clearly done nothing to try and fix that either through coaching or personnel changes.

We made positive changes at half time and on another day might have won the game. I have left games this season, the Partick and Falkirk games in particular thinking we need a full root and branch rebuild to save our season. Yesterday, Chalmers, Murphy, Reading, the two in midfield and Dowds all had a good game.

Was being sarcastic with the “unlucky losers” . You’re saying poor goals, I’m saying outplayed first half and could’ve been more than 2 nil down. First half Raith looked a level above us. Again all about perspectives. Second half we were better but never felt we’d get anything from the game.

Unlike the other games, we made changes at half time that made us the dominant team in the second half and we created enough chances to win the game.

All about perspectives I suppose. Never felt like we were getting anything from the game yesterday. Just don’t think unlucky losers will be an high enough standard to keep us in the league.

There is a difference from getting beat 3-1 not having a clue who is playing where, having no possession, shitting the bed, looking like we will concede at every attack and barely having a shot at goal and what we did today.

But we shouldn't acknowledge improvement in any way, shape or form at all unless it comes with a win apparently.

This is exactly how we looked first half. If we’re gonna give teams a 2 goal start we’re not going to win games. We were totally outplayed first half at home with a team that didn’t have a recognised striker and a midfielder as a centre half.

It wasn’t the referee and it wasn’t Raith’s alleged gamesmanship.  We simply aren’t good enough when it counts and where it counts.  I presume Rose was injured, but the sight of McKenzie coming on at half time when we’re chasing 2 goals was utterly depressing.  Seems increasingly clear that Amartey has fallen out with Bullen.  Not convinced he’s much of an answer, but it would be good to at least seem get a try.

Was saying this to my mates at today. Don’t understand why we bring on Mckenzie when we are 2 down and chasing shadows. The guys not a game changer (1st qp away game last season the exception). Surely to fck Amartey is a better option.

That’s really sad about that, just shows you what can happen with poor stewarding/security. However it’s also worrying that the club allows an adult to touch a minor without consent of a parent/guardian. The club are ultimately responsible for safeguarding and I don’t think I would have been as level headed as you with both said steward and the club. Fair play to you for even coming back yourself after that.

For a kick off, are stewards PVG checked?

You’re somewhere in between showing your boy you obviously care and not totally losing your shit in front of him which would have made it worse.

  6. With regard to the stewarding at Ayr this sort of thing has been going on for more than a decade. 13 or 14 years ago my son who at the time was 8 or 9 got searched going into the ground without me knowing until he got inside the gate and told me. He was quite traumatised at the time and I was raging obviously. At the time panda pals season ticket holders had to go through a separate gate from adult season tickets holders which just didn’t make sense. I approached the stewards but they just fobbed me off. Managed to contain my rage at the time and emailed the club but it took me at least 3 or4 further emails before I got a reply. Last game my boy ever attended.

Ayr United, been putting people off going since 2010 (at least)

Roberts era was probably the most toxic although that eventually died down when folk just stopped going.

The one time I didn’t get a season ticket but for some reason I went to nearly every home game anyway. I just kept thinking that the previous home game performance had never happened and that somehow I’d enjoy the next one. Felt a bit like that on Tuesday as at 70 minutes I knew I’d had enough but just couldn’t make myself leave. 😂

Whoever recruitment was down to they've made a rip roaring c**t of it .

Got to agree, I’ve never seen so many out of their depth players in one team and this was against a weakened team from the league below. I get that the midfield were only a week or so into their Ayr United careers but they don’t look like they’ll cut it at this level. Felt like Ahui should’ve been hooked at halftime as he was hopeless although most of the rest of them weren’t much better. Bullen leaving him on when we had McCallister on the bench was wrong. Hope I’m wrong as if not it’s buckets and spades for us.
