  1. Doubt it. You’ve got our number. Clip it down the sides, cut it back, score.
  2. The stadium shambles and the silence and eventual lies about it has been the main driver. Nobody at the club willing to front up. The only visible presence you see engaging with punters on a Saturday is Kieran Koszary. Dempster and the committee are nowhere. We’re so bound by the antiquated membership guff, that it’s a complex operation to untie the knots. Don’t know where we go, but there’s no way the status quo can hold over the medium to long term. Completely unfit for purpose.
  3. - Make sure their mates are re-elected. - Avoid or deflect legitimate questions and criticisms. - Go immediately back into hiding.
  4. Will be our lowest ever Firhill support. Be lucky if we take 200. Will only be the habituals, the lunatics and the people who hate life. See you in the Star and Garter.
  5. Any Haughey questions will be deftly danced around. All difficult questions are. Transparency is a huge issue and it’s the structure of the club that allows it to be this way. The honest truth is that the status quo suits the hierarchy. We can pretend that “anyone can become a member” as if it’s as simple as that. Needing existing members to propose and second people is an instant “nah, yer awrite” for most people inhabiting this planet in 2023. People want a say in their football club, not to join the masons or Whitecraigs Golf Club. We can pretend it’s open, but it’s not the perception.
  6. They’ve been asked questions before. It doesn’t matter. The structure of the club is utterly absurd in 2023. The only reason to retain the status quo seems to be “it’s the way we’ve always done it.” I’ll be voting for a couple of new faces, but ultimately we’re kidding ourselves if we think we can continue to run the club like this and expect anything to change. We have lurched between disaster and shambles off the pitch for the past few years. Haughey’s money has acted as a sticking plaster for some utterly spectacular mismanagement.
  7. Until we have a serious conversation about the structure of the football club, we’re going nowhere. So many folk with non-jobs at the club, enjoying perks and contributing the sum total of nothing. There is no accountability for anything. There will be elections to the committee in the coming weeks and there will be folk who I’m backing, but regardless of what happens, anyone who thinks the wider support has any confidence in the current hierarchy is kidding themselves. Not that they actually care about that sort of thing. We don’t actually know if our manager is our manager and we don’t know what stadium we’re playing at next season. We’re also bottom of the league through a mixture of complete arrogance and utter delusion. We deserve it tbh. Club needs gutted from top to bottom.
  8. Got what we deserved. Might as well just copy and paste from any number of other match threads.
  9. Genuinely didn’t even realise that. Just assumed it had it, despite being in relatively regularly. Usually rolling off a bus pished, right enough. In terms of the game, I’m liking Nuijten’s chat more than Veldman and Beuker’s. Less waffle about philosophy and more about the desire to win games and what’s required to do it. Refreshing, but ultimately the talking needs to be done on the park.
  10. Closest ones that I can think of without a tele are Ryan’s, The Bell Jar, Rum Shack and the Rose Reilly. All a touch hipsterish on the clientele front, but probably your best bet if you’re looking to avoid the game. 15/20 minute walk or you can nick onto the 1441 at Queen’s Park, which is less than five minutes to Mount Florida. Often the cheat route I take for a Scotland game in order to secure an extra pre-match pint.
  11. We haven’t scored a goal. Set up very well against United and deserves great credit for that. Morton was absolutely honking and his subs were insane. Win on Saturday and it tips into decent territory.
  12. We looked so much better as a unit against United, but this will be an entirely different type of game. Would expect this one to be more open, which doesn’t necessarily suit us. We really need a win, but a point wouldn’t kill morale. A defeat would. My worry is who exactly is conducting our transfer business? We need bodies in in January and normal functioning football clubs will already be working on this. We don’t actually even know how long Nuijten is in charge for.
  13. Beautiful, beautiful shitfesting. Fantastic application and dig from the players and Nuijten deserves credit for the setup. Rode our luck, but that was so much better in terms of what you want to see from a Queen’s Park team. Didn’t think we had a sniff at taking anything.
  14. Dundee United shitting the bed at Hampden? You don’t see that often.
  15. Won Hibs the Scottish Cup and nearly got Queen’s Park to the Prem. She’ll get another high profile job on the basis of the headlines on the CV. Nobody will bother scratching the surface.
  16. I’ll never learn. None of us will. That’s why we keep going back.
  17. See to be honest, this isn’t a terrible shout. Crisis management stuff, but we are where we are. Played 150 games in the Championship and is only 30, so you’d hope his legs still work.
  18. Stupidly getting myself into “ye never know..” territory for this. Idiot that I am.
  19. There was someone on here recently looking to get rid of a load of old programmes. Can’t remember who it was! Can whoever it was drop me a reply or DM. Not looking to buy the lot, but am looking for a couple of ones relating to significant occasions.
  20. If we continue to do the same thing and expect different results, we’ll richly deserve the relegation that comes our way.
  21. Even if it happens, I’m not allowing myself to become optimistic until I know the Malky danger as Director of Football has subsided.
  22. Aye, knows the league and has managed from youth level to Championship in England. You can’t underestimate how good a job you’d have to have done to get basket case Blackpool promoted when he was there as well. Seems to have a decent eye for a player. If there’s a more obvious candidate, I can’t see them.
  23. We’re surely not about to do something I’d actually approve of?
