  1. Aye I know, but we also lost Andy Ryan to Hamilton after this. Club are looking to bring one in on loan once the group stages of the LC are finished, I believe.
  2. From what I saw of Kelty on Friday night, they should walk this league. I reckon we have to be in the mix for a playoff spot though.
  3. Would love to see Berretini win this tomorrow for two reasons a. I hate Djokovic b. It might give the Italians a lift before the game in the evening.
  4. Hey, it would just be Italy being 'streetwise'. That's how it works now according to the English press after Sterling's antics in the semi final.
  5. Harry Milne was Cove's best player today, I thought, along with Fyvie of course.
  6. As posted on the cup thread... Tremendous win for the Beanos today, wee Nathan Flanagan looks a player. Impressed with Omar in midfield too until he tired late on. Marc Laird solid in defensive midfield. Full backs a concern, I think McNiff is better suited in the middle, and Adam Cummins had a torrid debut before being hooked. Hope we also sign another striker, as Dylan Mackin is pretty hopeless as a lone striker up top, zero mobility. All in all a good day, 3 points more than I was expecting out of this group already. Nice one.

  8. Kelty are going to batter League 2 senseless next season. Playoffs at best again for us this season then.
  9. I don't think I ever played Maziacs, this is something that will have to be rectified soon, albeit only via emulation these days.
  10. Evolution of Foxes and Rabbits is my main menory from that. That got about 30 seconds of my attention when I first got my Speccy before Trashman was hastily loaded and a new addiction was born.
  11. Interesting stat I found out today. The last player to be ranked Number 1 in the mens game outwith Federer, Djokovic, Nadal, and Murray was Andy Roddick. Back in January 2004. Shows what an incredible achievement it was by Murray to even reach Number 1 in this era.
  12. Speed Your Love to Me Kick It In Someone Somehwere in Summertime Up on the Catwalk The American
  13. Easy route to success in The Double was to sign Clive Allen. Lethal in that game.
  14. Never released on the Speccy, I don't think. TSM Europe was released, but I never saw any screenshots or ads for it, far less played it.
  15. I always longed for a club version of that game, would have been epic at the time.
  16. Commodore 64 snobs need not apply. Get yer ain thread. The humble ZX Spectrum, an 80s micro computer that should, on the face of it, never have worked. Awful keyboard, sound capabilties of a couple of tin cans, and horrendous color clash when colours got within a few pixels of each other, it was a technical basket case. But it was an amazing wee machine. And the games, oaft the games. Somehow bedroom programmers got the absolute most out of just 48k of memory and all its other limitations to produce thousands of games, many of which are still playable 40 or so years later. So, what were YOUR five favourite games on the machine? Almost impossible to narrow it down to five, but here's my best effort. 1. Skool Daze 2. Manic Miner 3. Chuckie Egg 4. Football Manager 5. Hyper Sports Honourable mention to Match Day 2, Red Moon, Atic Atac, Sabre Wulf, Jet Pac, Jet Set Willy, Trashman, Great Escape, Daley Thompsons Decathlon, and Wanted:Monty Mole.
  17. Almost 7pm, would it not be a good idea to just shut the roof before Murray comes out for his game, save them faffing about with it later? That said, the Canadian will probably wrap it up relatively quickly.
  18. We need to sign a striker, and soon. At this stage though, can't see anyone really good being available. Ryan's move to Accies has left us in a bit of a hole.
  19. Canny see it, Shapovalov is totally fresh after a bye, Murray will do well to even last three sets. Mind you, it's Andy Murray, anything is possible.
  20. Me! My first post on it was on my 35th birthday. I'm 50 now.
  21. By the way, it's mental to think this thread started back in 2005 when he was on the challenger tour as a teenager, been quite the journey.
  22. Two sets up and 5-0 up in the third says hello.
  23. How the hell has he got the energy for this given how long he's been out for?
  24. Every time I listen to the umpire try and pronounce Murray's surname, I get this image...
  25. You surely both can't have forgotten about the six figure fee we received for Stevie Nicholas?
