  1. Best comment so far must be from Tam in Motherwell, who said in The Herald Breaking News: The SPL has just voted to allow The Rafael Nadal back into the Wimbledon semi-finals.
  2. Ran out of greenies but "trying to grow a sleeping bag from our chin" is class. Anyway it tells me Saints need to sign some homeless players
  3. A 16 team SPL would definitely smooth the way for Sevco to get into the First as it eases the fears of clubs worried about missing out on promotion next season......
  4. Must have been something he ate, as he will bend over like the rest of them
  5. "It's particularly sad when a world which should be an expression of the highest values - sport, youth, competition, fairness turns out to be a mass of foul play, falsehood and demagoguery." - Mr Monti I didn't know the Italian PM was following the Rangers case
  6. The MP Damian Collins is trying to change the way football clubs pay their debt, so hopefully he can have a look at Rangers too, as it seems there are too many people with a vested interest in our game to make any tough decisions. If enough people email him, we might actually get some use out of a Tory MP http://www.damiancollins.com/
  7. We can only hope Rangers take this to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS), since it worked a treat for SION....................they will find out what sort of power a real football organization has.
  8. How much of that £40M included money from qualification for European competitions or winning the league or cups? All that goes away in the land of the diddy team and Murray Park and Ibrox don't get any cheaper to run just because you aren't winning anything. Have a look at the earnings of Hibs or Dundee Utd for example, to see how much clubs that size actually earn from the whole system. I realize you have far bigger crowds but other than gate receipts, what other revenue streams will you have as a 6th place team to get you to the £30M you suggested? As for my own team, clubs like mine start every season with 2 business plans, one for survival and one for relegation, so any drop in income is already part of our contingency plan.
  9. The thing is, without CL/Europa League cash or a large slice of the SPL TV revenue, the players you would like to keep are still beyond you. Obviously you get far bigger crowds than the rest of the SPL (Celtic aside) but your running costs are huge for Ibrox, Murray Park etc, plus there is no guarantee that your merchandising sales will not see a significant drop as the results deteriorate. I know this is all new to Rangers fans but take a look at the rest of the SPL, there is NO money outside of the top 2 because of the 'share' agreement you and Celtic forced through........................................so if you finish 6th for example, you will be skint due to the very rules your club has helped enforce. Welcome to the SPL.........................can you see why the rest of us hate it?
  10. I know, brilliant isn't it. It just goes to show, no matter how skint you think you are, there's always someone who will still take what little you have left
  11. Can't believe you don't want to keep John Potter. There can't be many players who have managed to get relegated with 2 different clubs from 2 different leagues in the same season
  12. Just had the whole thing explained to me by a Rangers fan. Apparently it's all down to the Scottish clubs conspiring against The Rangers, at the behest of Dundee Utd and Kilmarnock
  13. Of course they are and I'm sure they'll string that out too, these boys really are milking this
  14. There once was a team played in Blue The Tax man they did try to screw How they belted out the sash As they paid in offshore cash Now it's the Tax mans turn to fcuk you
