O’Donnell though, f**k me he was brutal. 2nd to most balls and resorted to pulling people to the ground. He was rattled by some of the booing and lost confidence as the game went on.

A non city team having an internationalist and you’d think you’d be all over it .... negativo

Someone teased us that Sunderland were muted to be interested and £500k was floated.

I doff my cap to you sir, quality trolling

  2. SPFL have a brass neck announcing it as a £8m deal when its actually £7.5m

As a board member surely Robertson was made aware of the negotiations in advance of any announcement.

If he didn't flag it, is it because he took it as a given that many clubs have motor trade tie ins and there's not any conflict? @Jamie_Beatson post covers, no issue in previous seasons so I think they'd have a hard time justifying it. Maybe he didn't bank on Dougie being so petulant.

Look who's playing in the Carling Premiership .....

You’re getting mad at a position that’s being assumed, and at a picture taken before a quarter of our squad were born?

    great job.

Fan from mad, just the rest of Scottish football is finding ourselves rolling the eyes at you lot taking over from your neighbours in feigned victimhood. Every day this rumbles on it is clear Park is spitting the dummy. It will go to court, it'll drag out and both the league and yourselves will look tin pot.

As for the picture, you really don't get it do you? Employ a little rational thought as to gestures and not addressing the core of what drives your club. Shall we ignore the fact your club ignored doing anything other than recognising racism is bad?

    Now don't get mad

  4. Think you're being a bit unfair on O'Connor. There may be something about him especially if guided by an international captain beside him, Mugabi too. Our other Leicester academy signing did OK when talked through the game.

So it seems its in Hull's interest to get Jimmy off the books, as we're due a sell on then maybe they'd be willing to do a deal. Still only 20, definite sell on potential, take the hit on the wage and nominal transfer in the hope he gets another move in a year? Certainly seems the approach we've went for with Slattery and Kelly. Hull must know they won't be able to sell him as it stands.

If he does return in any capacity it leaves me wondering what happens to Tony Watt. Form so far has been average and below last year. I think GA favours Woolery for his pace. Impact sub for a guy who pretty much dragged us through the second half of the season?

  5. Of course Mr Park could have offered to sponsor the league himself if he was that concerned. Celtic have had Phoenix for years, I saw Mercedes Benz of Edinburgh at Tynecastle on Saturday night, Motherwell have had Motorpoint sponsor our shorts. It's hard to find a club without some tie in with the motor trade.

The other 40 in the league don't pander to the orange (or green) pound. So every penny is a prisoner.

Club captain asking fans to respect taking the knee for racism however no gestures or even a pook out the club to combat bigotry.

May I suggest, it's about at empty and hollow as you can get:

  6. Difference is Hibs take players you don't want to lose and you take players we're indifferent about.

Crazy money if true. Seems covid has started a wee gold rush in Scottish football similar to Setanta's promised money. While James left us a good prospect with all the tools to make a decent impact in the game, he was very rough round the edges and a loan back would have been in Hull's interest. As it seems he's going on a free then in ours too. Going for £1.5m and returning to a commensurate club in the same league after 18 months can only be a tail between legs scenario. I've got a lot of time for him so I hope he doesn't become another big daft striker like Erwin.

It seems we've paid transfers for Slattery, Kelly and Ojala. It appears we've now gone down the no more freebie dross route. If it pays off ideal.

Yeah, I get that view 💯. But to play devil's advocate, if Crawford wasn't there we'd be going into the first league game with no cover for central midfield given injuries and players coming back from injury. So signing him up for another year on what must be a small(ish) wage is already looking a decent idea.

I was surprised when he got the year renewal tbh buy it seems broadly sensible.

I'm pretty sure we will see him through the season but he's not going to be a key player. Thankfully.

Signing him up for a year in April was it? Based on we might need him come August just to me says that I do think we could have found a player of commensurate value to the team for the same money, especially with all this scouting software and services we’re signed up to. I just think it showed a lack of ambition.

Ever consider not having him would have redoubled our efforts and focus on finding an alternative scraping midfielder this summer. Anyway I feel there was a good chance he may be available just now if released in May.

  8. As a new poster to the forum I was under the impression you lot had your own speshul little sub forum for all this tit-for-tattery.

I clicked onto this thread in a hope to find out a few insights of the current turmoil at Parkhead from some of the more reasonable and erudite Celtic support.

To find chat of whataboutery from 2017 no big surprise from supporters of a club who "55!" seem to have a "55!" for of Tourrettes leaning on total "150 years old!" overcompensation "55!" to kinda "150 years old!" gloss over the big "55!" elephant in the room from 10 years ago.

On the other hand, Celtic have been guilty (despite the financial gulf from everyone else) of celebrating their silverwear success' like a fat uncle who nutmegs a 4 year old at a family back garden barbecue and celebrates the grand achievement like he's scored an overhead kick in the CL final.

You've been hampered by a board which for many who don't care of the inner workings of your club can't fathom the penny pinching, not as if you're short of a bob or two. Going for Deila hobbled you, won a watch with St. Brendan but deep down you all must have known it was only temporary until he rose his stock again for another go at the PL. You missed out on McGinn over buttons, Lennon we'll just whitewash, you took the piss when you sniffed around Carson when you were in a bind in January for keepers and now it looks like history repeating itself with Nisbet.

Where you should focus on (because you both blatantly don't want to be here) is on Europe. You bemoan the lack of a test in the league but do everything to stifle it domestically. Now I can't blame the executive management of a company trying to secure dominance both financially and in the market, they are duty bound to do so. To gain access to Europe you have to win here first. But you have to appreciate this is a sporting contest and most fans of other clubs know we are not he to compete for the title, we merely facilitate you. Our hope limited to is a favourable cup run or bragging rights for a good result from 6 (or 8*) meetings.

A solution? I have no idea, maybe worth a thread of its own, but while half a dozen buses each leave Aberdeenshire, the Highlands, Tayside, and Edinburgh every weekend to either Parkhead or Ibrox then it will not remedy any time soon.
