  1. Wasn’t a mistake. I was told he wasn’t there (he wasn’t) I was informed 15 minutes ago he was on holiday!!
  2. There is no agenda as you can see from my next post which I was posting as you posted yours!! All I want, like any other jags fan is for the club to be successful. If that’s under Lee, Beattie, Low or Weir I really don’t give a Friars Tuck. Everything with you appears to be “an agenda” if it doesn’t agree with your point of view!! Get a friggin life!
  3. Beattie reported to be on holiday (he couldn’t have timed that better) but apparently most of the board were there. At the last meet the manager night I personally asked Caldwell how many more new faces he expected in. He stated 3 or 4 and stated that Gerry would be better confirming that the budget was there to allow that, which he did. We have signed Austin since that night so anyone saying the budget hasn’t been cut is living on fantasy island, that is unless Austin is costing us a fortune. The club is a total shambles at the moment. The only hope we have is that Austin can play as a striker because we really ain’t got anyone else!!
  4. Didnt manage up today but going by the snippets on WAT No more players (even though we have a strike force that will be lucky to score 10 goals.....between them) Takeover far from certain to go ahead and no decision imminent. If takeover goes ahead we might ask Colin Weir to join forces (good luck with that) Jeez what a fecking mess!! If this takeover falls through are they going to crawl back to Weir and beg him to reconsider? I know where I would tell them to go!! Looks like Gilfillan was the board member as no mention of Beattie (surprise, surprise...he does appear to only hog the limelight when times are good!)
  5. Exactly. He spent all night telling people what to do, point his finger and drift into midfield. With Mansell and Jones our only other strikers I assume Miller was brought in for the purpose you describe....stand in the box and wait for the crumbs. He is clearly not doing that. Trying to use his pace to get past the Und player on the touchline was embarrassing. The board, from somewhere, need to get some cash and try and persuade Sevco to give us Rudden for the season or we are 7th/8th at best
  6. I agree. Thought we played really well in the first half but the way we sat back/tired in the second half makes me question Caldwells boast that we are the fittest team in the league. Why are guys like Palmer (19) and Jones (24?) shattered after 55 minutes and replaced while Miller (39) gets 90 minutes to constantly point his finger and drop into midfield. Thought Palmer played well, as for Bannigan he looks like he wants away and played like it last night. Sneddon had a night to forget. McGinty and Saunders kept Shankland quiet other than a fluke goal. Guys like Shankland and Hemmings are the reason why the Dundee teams will be up the top. Sadly I reckon Miller, Mansell and Jones will be lucky to get double figures between them. Going to be a slog this season unless we can get a Rudden type striker in. Maybe Beattie will throw us a few crumbs this afternoon
  7. Christ I hope Jordanhill Jag and Javejag don’t turn up. We could be there till midnight!!!
  8. Well this should be interesting to say the least. That should boost attendance on Saturday, certainly from 2.00pm onwards!!
  9. Was very impressed by him at the two meet the manager nights and believe it or not he does have a sense of humour! In saying that, if the takeover goes ahead I think he will be out the door.
  10. And ridden straight back in, after saying he had no time to devote to the club. I might be totally wrong here but was it not the same shareholders that that sacked her that voted Lowe in as chairwoman? I was not a great fan of her but things were beginning to improve on the park. Since Caldwell brought in his own players in January we have played 26 games and lost 5 (including one against Hearts) I reckon with the players Caldwell wants we would be up in the Top 4 this season. Who knows where this season is going now.
  11. What the club needs to do is get a couple of signings in and calm things down a bit. Just as an aside it was Kris Doolan’s golf testimonial yesterday and I have been informed by a mate who was at it that the players are surprised by the “bus gate” fuss. No big deal was the response and it happens on occasion at certain games where, given the players location, its easier for them to drive to the game. Happened last season and will happen next season etc
  12. Totally agree. The 90 page fight involving Javejag and Jordanhill Jag is an embarrassment. They are saying the same things on Page 1 as they are on Page 90!!
  13. And you don’t think this situation is an utter omnishambles?? I cant think of any club of our stature that has basically pissed off a multi, multi millionaire to the extent that he has left the building completely. Also does anyone know who put Lowe in charge when Beattie left??
  14. We have been told the club has no banking and overdraft facilities, yet we appear to have run up a deficit (if you believe Beattie) Without knowing for definite, that points to me that Colin Weir was the go to man when the club needed money. Who paid for the two La Manga trips? I think people are being naive in thinking Colin Weir didn’t help out financially, in some way, at the club. The sensible thing to have done here, at the outset, should have been Beattie approaching Weir and saying the shareholders wanted to sell up and given his role in funding the academy would he have been interested in making them an offer. If he wasn’t interested, fair enough, he could have no complaints about them looking at other investors. If he was interested, he buys them out and the club is run the way it was before the coup. The whole thing has been shockingly handled. God knows what happens if this takeover falls through and the same applies if it does go through!!!
  15. Would imagine thats the end of Scott Allison and the TWA coaches as well, unless the funding he supplied carries on for a while after this. At the moment there are no feelgood stories around all this, even Gerry Collins has been brought out of retirement by Scotland Today to say he is worried about the club
  16. How much would it cost to buy the majority shareholding? He is wealthy enough to have bought the club, keep his pal in her job and run the club as he pleased. CW or CL? I would probably have preferred CW as a hands on owner. Time will tell whether this is a good or disastrous move for the club!!
  17. The bus is back.......after the Morton game! https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/49255075
  18. Thing I dont understand is how can you run up a massive deficit if, as we have been told, we have no overdraft or banking facilities!!. Was Colin Weir our go to man for overdraft facilities? Also a major worry now is getting players to join a club which 24 hours earlier was branded a shambles, couldnt afford a bus and had slashed the managers budget. Players read papers!! Everything now points directly at Low for the McGarry article. If it is her, she is a total disgrace!!
  19. Right, stuff the negativity and lets get some players in!!! Promotion is back on!
  20. The Sun has got hold of part of the story! https://www.thescottishsun.co.uk/sport/football/4569997/partick-thistle-chiefs-stun-players-by-scrapping-team-bus-for-away-games/
  21. Have to say the minute the board part disappeared from the Q&A segment of the open day, alarm bells started ringing for me!! Wouldnt be surprised if the whole day is scrapped. Caldwell will get bombarded with questions that he probably has no idea what the answers are, in fact would anyone be surprised if he wasnt in the dugout on Friday!! The fans, especially the ones that have forked out over £300 in season tickets deserve answers now!! Are you listening Mr Beattie?
  22. Not sure what to believe here. The minute Low was booted I expected Colin Weir to be right behind her and withdraw his funding. That appears to be the case. Britton and Beattie appear to have been talking total pish to the Jags Trust last week. There must be more to this takeover than giving us a couple of Barnsley fringe players. If thats the case, whats the bloody point. Rumours that Beattie has been spotted up on scaffolding ripping the Colin Weir Stand sign down tonight has yet to be confirmed!!!
