Never a world beater, but the fact we played a youth striker up front ahead of him last season is laughable.

I'll obviously give him a chance to prove himself in a Falkirk shirt and I hope he completely exceeds expectations, scoring 25 goals to take us up. But the overwhelming reviews from Thistle fans saying he's pish are a little concerning. McGlynn wasn't kidding when he said he was struggling to find a striker.

I agree with this. For a number of reasons, there is undoubtedly room for optimism on the footballing side, and most people on here have been basking in the good feeling, as we all should. But I have spotted growing trend on here where people who raise even the most moderate of concerns - be it about football or non-footballing issues - are getting jumped on by folk accusing them of just moaning or being negative, as if they dare criticise the club for anything. While I'm sure there are a couple of them on here, not every everyone questioning something about the club is a puppet for the former BOD, which is one of the first accusations that often gets lobbed at them. That kind of factionalism makes those who engage in it look as much like the previous regime they seek to criticise - I don't believe they are actually anything like those charlatans, but it's not always a good look. We should all be in this together and pulling in the same direction, but people are still allowed to criticise or raise concerns.

I’m probably talking through my arse, but I’m pretty sure I’ve previously read that when it comes to football broadcasting rights, the UK and Ireland are treated by the companies as the same collective market and therefore have the same laws/legislation/limits to showing games.

Under Cones or Rennie we'd have been scudded 4/5-0 and they'd have scratched their head and said shite like "I thought we passed the ball about well" "room for optimism" etc. McGlynn might not be as comfortable in front of a camera but by f**k it just shows you the massive difference actually having someone who can set up a team makes. I'm also confident that he won't let the players get too ahead of themselves as fans should try similar - hiccups and bad results will still come along the way and there is still major work to do be done on the squad. But for the first time in about 4 or 5 years, we've got a guy who knows what he is doing.

Hibs have now lost to two Falkirk teams that have had to play Taylor Morgan and Jaime Wilson as lone strikers. I'd probably just pack it in now to be honest, lads.

Don't want to get too ahead of ourselves but *if* we can win the next two games that would surely allow us to get an extra player in the door that could be crucial.
