  1. I would be happy to see absolutely none of these players wear the shirt again. Not a single one.
  2. Touched on many times before, but we have way, way too many soft touches in our team. Just think about how other sides feel when they see our line-up announced and see they're playing against the some combinations of Telfer, McGuffie, Nesbitt, Williamson, Hetherington, ATS and McKay? They automatically know that if they win their battles, there is a decent chance the victory will follow. Tuesday was a prime example; how many times did our players just look absolutely fucking petrified?
  3. Thing is, I don't think the feeling against Rennie last night would be as strong if we'd drawn 1-1, but he'd changed it at half-time and ditched 5 at the back. The result is of course the most important thing but doesn't always come as we know - for me, it is the stubbornness which bugs me the most.
  4. Signed a few autographs, came on as a sub after 55 minutes, had a good free-kick which the keeper saved, then jogged around a bit for the rest of the game. Banked £1.5k. A good nights work.
  5. I get this point of view, but he's still come in and brought in half a team of his own players. He also arrived at a point when the play-offs were more than achievable, which if you get into them on a string of form, you can easily get through them and get promoted, especially with how they are set up in the lower leagues. A full-time Falkirk, with the biggest budget in the third tier, basically writing off their season in February, is unacceptable.
  6. Our season was as good as over when we appointed Cones and allowed Holt to do the recruitment.
  7. Also aye, Kevin Thomson - employed by another Scottish club, was on as a pundit earlier this season and referred to Sevco as “we”. Not for me.
  8. Kelty are going to be in the same league as us next season and if they were to play us now, they’d fucking tear us new one. He’s be bonkers to come to us.
  9. 1-1 against Peterhead at home, needing a goal and your tactics consist of square passing it along a back 5, all of whom look fucking terrified of the ball. In the sea.
  10. That was fucking abysmal. Rennie owns that result.
  11. Absolutely dire first half, not surprising after a bewildering team set-up.
  12. Great goal from a set move but that was fucking diabolical for 40 minutes.
  13. Also, Gary Miller should have been punted 2 years ago.
  14. Long way to go but the Tombola 11 ain’t started well.
  15. When you’re as shite and desperate as we are, but you have 3 strikers with the talent of Griffiths, Kabila and Dowds, I think you try your best to fit them all in. I can see why he doesn’t, but still very disappointed.
  16. Assuming Mills, Watson and Miller at CB? 5 at the back and Griffiths dropped after one game
  17. So excited to not have to watch Brad McKay tonight xxx
  18. When the line-up is announced tonight, the clearest thing I want to see from it that the 3 CB’s idea has been firmly booted. I really, really want Rennie to succeed, but it won’t say a lot for his judgement if he persists with something that isn’t working. Also want to see Griff, Kabia and Dowds all starting.
  19. The call for 'patience' is a very tricky one, though. I get it completely and would be inclined to agree that we need a period of stability. However, the fans have also been incredibly patient over the last few years and have gotten little to nothing in return. Even this season, you're getting 2500-3000 core fans turning up to watch a side built with the biggest budget in the league get regularly rolled over. Despite what many might say, our fanbase has, by and large, stuck with the club throughout the entirety of this downward spiral and you can understand people getting sick fed up with the lack of tangible progress.
  20. It was clear to anyone with a functioning brain that from about 6 weeks in Sheerin was a fucking diddy and should never have been appointed. I would be inclined to say that I''d have to flip a coin to call who was more useless manager between him and Eddie May, but actually, I'd probably just go ahead and say Sheerin. At least May had the excuse of being in the top-flight.
  21. I don't disagree that he's recruited for 3-5-2 but f**k me, ATS is never a CB in a million years.
  22. We should be looking bounce back after a pretty dismal performance yesterday. Thankfully McKay will be nowhere to be seen, so I'd assume Dixon or Mills will come in. Hoping Hetherington is not in the squad but I'd settle for him being back on the bench. While I highly, highly doubt Rennie will change it (seems quite stubborn in this respect), I'd go 4 at the back and play all 3 of Dowds, Griffiths and Kabia. Bugger all to lose.
  23. If anything positive can come out of today, surely it can put the suggestion some were making - that Brad McKay might be anywhere near good enough - to bed. He is absolutely gantin and when the majority of the squad is inevitably catapulted, he should be front of the queue.
  24. I saw a bit of this on Twitter, was it good natured or were folk actually having a go at him?
  25. I don't fully know how I feel about Rennie yet, but that today was brutal and the period where he 'can't be fully judged' is over, if it wasn't already. I know he has his hands tied to a certain extent by the shite that was signed by the previous regime, but he has signed half a team worth of players. He also doesn't help himself persisting with 5 at the back with the tippy-tappy pish, even at 2-0 down when it clearly isn't working - especially with folk like McKay and ATS, who aren't cut out for that at all. Bringing Hetherington back in was fucking criminal and dropping Kabia was also highly questionable. Our season will end by either petering out to finish 5-6th or stumbling into 4th, only to get completely ridden by whoever finishes 9th in the Championship over two legs. Depressing times.
