  1. Worth remembering that Kallman is at the end of his normal season. Chances are there are going to be times this season that he just doesn’t look up to speed.
  2. Have you just stumbled across the clever reason why the club and Dark Blue Property Holdings are separate? So that if something did go horribly wrong DBPH could vote as a creditor?
  3. My favourite comment that I saw from Dodds was he “knew the CVA was going to be voted through anyway so his vote was always going to be irrelevant”. Now, it’s more than understandable that someone in that position would want to make sure they are paid as much as possible. Surely though, if the CVA was always going to be voted through, he could have played a blinder by voting in favour, taking one for the team and ensuring the club’s survival. He would then be regarded as a hero (ish) for giving up what he was due to save the club. But no. He decided to make sure everyone knew what he really cared about.
  4. Google maps says Glebe Park is 0.3 miles from “Brechin” by road and as the crow flies it would be a lot less.
  5. Killie and Livi will be interesting games now that the squad hopefully have a bit more confidence. Normally we would expect to at least draw with both if not win but realistically, these are 2 of the country’s form sides. Both have started better than the ugly sisters and between them have beaten both sides. If we get more than 2 points from the 2 games it will be a brilliant result but might not be enough to keep McCann in the job.
  6. This thread is far too quiet considering the results for Dundee clubs today. Are we all in shock?!
  7. Here’s a thought. Once we are in the new ground we will be looking to sell Dens, assuming we have bought it back like Nelms said. Chances are the most profitable choice would be to sell it for housing. But what if the biggest offer comes from across the road? Would we be happy to see them use it as they please? Could be a fantastic facility for them whether they use it as a charged car park or training facilities or whatever. Could we bear that for the right price?
  8. You’re probably right and anything up to 1500 could be full regularly. And I saw that too but there was nothing else said about it. Reckon like most things the club does nowadays no one really knows yet.
  9. I’d love to see us make one entire end safe standing. That would still leave around 12000 normal seats which is as many as we have at the moment and would be unique for this part of the world. Trouble is apart from derbies I can’t imagine we’d ever be able to fill it. Would be disappointed if we didn’t at least have 750-1000 in a corner though.
  10. Seem to remember it fell down during a storm during the 1st Division day’s...probably around 2009...no idea what happened to it though.
  11. Inniss to wear 15 and Boyle 23. Was our last no. 23 not Boyle as well?! As a side note, my phone autocorrected Inniss to Ninjas. Might be in for some amusing messages this season.
  12. Think as much as there were issues all over the park yesterday, our full backs lost us the game. I lost count of the number of times we played great football in the middle of the park and then looked to the full backs to get beyond the saints defence but too often they were either level with the play or even behind it. That would be forgivable if they were doing a solid job defensively but all saints did and all they had to do was launch long balls over the top of the full backs and they were exposed every single time. I have full confidence that our team is good enough to stay up. Unfortunately the person telling them how to play isn’t.
  13. At the moment I’d say: Either keeper Curran Caulker Meekings (maybe Kusunga) Kerr Madianga Kamara Ngwatala Wighton Mendy Moussa However this depends on Nabi and also what formation we play. I’d prefer at least one of McGowan (not sure on his fitness at the moment) and Spence but also think we need both Moussa and mendy for either to work. Then would hate to leave Wighton out as he’s always capable of something. Basically this is a really long way of saying I haven’t a clue...
  14. It was after the accounts were published showing a £350k loss. Nelms said it was absolutely fine, was part of the long term plan and had already been covered. That’s when he said they’d like to grow the season tickets by 1000 in the coming years to balance this out. The Record reported something along the lines of “financial crisis at Dens as club plead for fans to cover massive losses”.
  15. The other subs seem to be listed in position order. Seems a safe assumption that 2 of the trialists are defenders (1 will be the American) and the other a striker. So 3 youth midfielders it is.
  16. Really like the colour combination and with other designs it could have been great. This design not so much.
  17. I think that’s what this seasons away kit was? That was what Our Boys used to play in I think.
  18. what you said sounds good. When is away kit out? Not sure, haven't seen anything yet. You would think it would be soon as with the home shirt always being dark, the lighter away shirt probably tends to be what people might wear on holiday!
  19. Not sure if it's been discussed already but what are people hoping for from the new away kit? Personally, if we are sticking to relatively traditional colours I would go for a mostly white shirt with light blue trim, light blue shorts and white socks. We don't seem to be a club that changes things up too much in terms of tradition, but for something different I'd like something similar to the new yellow Scotland kit, although with yellow socks. Can't see that happening though, particularly as the away shorts will probably be white to let us mix and match the home kit when necessary.
  20. A suicide bomber that doesn’t seem to realise they don’t have a bomb.
  21. Great idea but the glass would need to be bulletproof, too tempting a target otherwise...
  22. I did snap back at them once in the game when we were 4-0 on Hamilton at half time. About gave themselves heart attacks raging that we had gone to 1 striker. That 1 striker was Kane Hemmings who had already scored 3 and we still had Greg Stewart on the wing! The response was something along the lines of maybe if people like me had more than 1 brain cell we would win a game occasionally. Figured it wasn’t worth wasting 30 seconds of my life after that. I’m comforted by the fact that the chances of my seat being near theirs in the New Campy is pretty slim.
  23. You must have been near me, they sit 3 rows behind my season ticket seat and are easily the worst “fans” I’ve ever come across. Every game without fail is constant abuse for every single player even today when there was nothing at stake. The best thing they can ever hope to contribute to the team is to “support” the away team.
  24. Not quite a statement but Dundee did manage to make Murty do (or attempt to do) a backflip, does this count?
