  1. No. Never. Maybe a little. There is I suppose the option that they are relegated but receive massive compensation which would be the worst case scenario for us you would imagine.
  2. Looking at potential outcomes of the court case, it's hard to see a scenario that wouldn't be great for us, at least as fans if not the club. If Hearts lose we will have an endless supply of laughs, regardless of how that plays out. If they win there are 2 options. Either reconstruction magically reappears, promoting us or leaving a clearer path next year, or Hearts stay up and there are no promotions either which, quite frankly, may leave half our support hospitalised from laughing too much. Time to get the popcorn out.
  3. Hard to tell considering last time they were already in Armageddon before relegation.
  4. It’s hilarious, the last thing the club would be doing if they were going bust is stopping an income source! Zombies don’t logic too well.
  5. So 1 in 7, Dens would be looking at a little under 1700. Not seen any suggestion yet on how people would actually get to their seats though. Can the virus be transmitted by people touching the same turnstile? Then there will be a big deference even between stands. I haven’t been at the ends at Dens since I was a kid but there assuming they’re similarly laid out to most modern stands then it should be workable, if a bit awkward. The south enclosure is ideal as you are outside all the way to your seat. The main stand though is full of 120 year old narrow corridors where it’s hard to avoid brushing people as you pass, never mind leaving a gap. Also have to make sure that as you celebrate the 90th minute winner you stay exactly within your allocated space!
  6. Can’t decide if I like the hexagons or not, but feel having them on the shirt and not the rest looks a bit strange. For fans who will likely just buy the shirt it’s probably a winner but as a full kit not so sure.
  7. Everyone’s looking at ex-premiership players (hard to argue with the suggestions tbf) but any good players coming through the lower leagues that won’t be getting as big a move as they may have hoped pre-virus?
  8. Fair point, but yeh even a crowd of 1000 is hardly sustainable
  9. The more I think about the distance between seats the more unlikely it seems. How many seats would you need in every direction to be 2 metres from everyone? Seats are roughly 40cm wide so maybe 5 empty seats? Plus 5 rows forward and back. If everyone “owns” 3 seats to one side and 2 the other. 3 rows in front and 2 behind, you’ve got one person in a grid of 36 seats. Dens would have a capacity of roughly 329 and a chunk of that would be taken up by officials and stewards. That’s clearly all based on little in depth thought, but with a crowd that low I’m not sure what the point is in going to the effort of having fans in at all, before you even get on to toilets etc.
  10. Not sure I understand the logic that part time teams shouldn’t mix it with full time. You either have a completely closed shop below the top 20 like we’ve had for years below league 2 which I’m not sure anyone likes, or you have a set up where part time and full time teams play against each other. If they play each other, part time teams finishing ahead of full time is inevitable reasonably often, as currently, Arbroath and Alloa have the majority of the best part time players. These guys can often be part time for financial reasons rather than ability and with the right mix can easily compete with the worst full time teams. Also feel like it’s tad pointless saying these clubs shouldn’t be part of the professional set up. Regardless of how the divisions are structured you’re going to have the same teams at similar levels to what they already are. I’m sure going from 42 main clubs with 30ish in the pyramid below, to 20 with 52 in the pyramid below is going to change everything...
  11. See I liked that [emoji23] although I agree that Argentina style is probably my favourite of our away kits. Just a little bored of every strip every year being dark blue, light blue, red or white. Orange is obviously out, while green is unlikely as maybe more associated with Utd, purple/black probably too close to the home kit, maroon maybe too, which pretty much leaves pink or yellow. I’d go yellow!
  12. Been saying for years I’d love a Dundee kit like that away one. Not necessarily the blue sleeves but the rest with yellow socks. Some would hate it cause it’s not our colours but as a one off it could be popular.
  13. Wait, explain to me again how Nelms genuinely trying to compensate the clubs who are losing out makes him a rocket, rather than someone trying to help Scottish football? It has no direct benefit for his club so it’s not self preservation, yet he’s actually being criticised for that?
  14. There is a precedent for that. When Rangers died, Dundee went up with Ross County and Dunfermline (I think) we’re still relegated.
  15. As with many of our away kit teases, I would say it has potential. Also as with the rest it will turn out to be somewhere on the border between a bit mental and actually quite smart and will likely grow on me by about February, which will conveniently be our next home game.
  16. Wonder if 71 Brewing are being lined up as suppliers for a bar at the new stadium. Seems a bit early but they bought the land before we’d even heard of the idea so who knows.
  17. It has and you may be right, but let’s face it it hardly makes him a terrible Dundee director. Since the 70s that’s just what we do. What has changed is we are a million times more stable as a club than in most of that time, I’ll take that for now.
  18. Better distribution of money and higher chance of reconstruction. In theory anyway.
  19. Don’t know that many were on our side in the decision, but Falkirk and...Stirling Albion (?) both helped us out financially in the aftermath. I care about other clubs because I would never want another fan to go through what we’ve been through. It’s horrible to not know if the club you grew up watching will still be there next season and I wouldn’t inflict it on anyone. The biggest problem with the game in Scotland isn’t that we can’t get enough money from outside sources to compete with other leagues, its the endless short term thinking and looking out for ourselves regardless of the impact on the wider game. “They hit me so I’ll hit them harder” is great fun for the banter, but eventually someone loses permanently and that doesn’t help anyone.
  20. We were voting no because there weren’t enough guarantees to help the clubs that would suffer from relegation. We are now voting yes after confirming that other discussions will now take place to help those clubs, with more information to come. The most likely of the options to pass would see us at least have an easier go at promotion next year, while also saving a number of clubs from relegation. If the SPFL have broken their own rules to allow this to happen then I really don’t understand how Nelms and the club in general are now the most hated people in the country, even amongst our own support.

    FIFA Rage Page

2 career mode rages for me. Whenever I play as Dundee, I can’t beat Kilmarnock, in any season on any game, just not possible [emoji23] On Fifa 20, with Dundee out of the picture I chose my other go to of a bottom league 2 team, on this occasion Cheltenham Town. Through the entire career I never signed a player, only youths and trained them up. Season 1, won the playoffs. Season 2, 2nd in league 1 and won the FA Cup. Season 3, won the championship playoffs, won the FA Cup and League Cup, Somehow won the Europa League. Season 4, finished 4th in the premier league, won the FA cup, ridiculously won the Champions League beating Man City on pens in the final. Sacked in the summer cause I was paying my star centre half more than the rest of the squad [emoji854]
  22. Interesting, I had exactly the same bet, placed around the same time, cashed out for exactly the same reason, just a higher stake. [emoji23] also had a compensation bet on United that would have been ridiculous to lose if the season was voided.
  23. Hadn’t thought about that. We’ve had players that have never played, but could we become the first club to have a kit that was never worn?
  24. I hope you’re right that UEFA make the decision. I don’t really mind what the outcome is as there is no perfect solution that makes everyone happy, but if UEFA declare that it’s for individual countries to decide how their leagues finish then regardless of what the SFA/SPFL choose there will be one half of Glasgow that takes them to court for “supporting the other side” and all focus will be on that for the next 50 years. That’s the last thing we need at a time when any other club in the country could need all the help they can get just to survive.
