  1. Look, I am not happy about any of this but, but, but what is is that people want to achieve by not buying season tickets etc.? It is not going to change the ownership of the club, quite the reverse really, it suits their purposes. It is not going to change the manager, that is clear and it is not going to change the board.
  2. Is there any hope? This being the Sons we will win 2-0, probably miss a penalty.
  3. It breaks my heart to see the club I love in such dire straits. I will be buying a season ticket however. We need every penny we can get. I think our best hope is an active and animated trust. Hats off to the individuals we keep it busy. I have no faith whatsoever in the ownership and not much in the current board. As to last night, we gifted them three goals. One gift can happen, two is concidence but three is incompetence. Farrell has to be answerable for that.
  4. Thanks to you and Microdave. I asked because I heard Arbroath think they will take 2000 to Rugby Park on Friday. This is what success brings. Real shame we are in this mess.
  5. On a completely different and happier theme, how many did we take down to the New Saints game and how many did we take to the final at Perth? Any estimates?
  6. What I cannot forgive is the red card count. The manager needs to get on top of that and has not.
  7. A question. At this point who would you prefer as manager, Duffy or Farrell? A straight choice between the two in a relegation dogfight I would go for Duffy.
  8. Anyone any idea of how much approximately stadium sponsorship would run to?
  9. I hold three nationalites, foreign bank accounts, have spent decades abrood and my cousin was a famous referee and Lord knows we need a break or two from referees. I have sent the owners my ideal cv for a boardroom member. Having suppressed the bit about being a lifetime Sons fan I should be a shoo in.
  10. Dundee should now discipline the diver. He cheated.
  11. I meant Dundee Rep. Dundee, Dundee Utd, Rep, whatever.
  12. Not that I am one to contest referees' decisions but that was no sending off. Watch carefully on the Sportscene coverage. The first contact was from the Dundonian who clearly reaches out to impede. There was no punch to the goolies but there was a very professional collapse in the box. Dundee Citizens is a great theatre. But their cast should not be on a football pitch.
  13. Very informative, thank you. My question would be, can a golden shareholder block this? My ( limited) understanding is that there is suchfor Dumbarton Fc.
  14. Thank you, O'Kelly. Could you expand on how the Trust sees the future affairs of the club and how we could make that a reality?
  15. Wish I knew the answer to that. Possibly. I am no expert but that doesn't look good to me.
  16. Mildly amusing but you have posted four times about it within two hours. Hate to think what this forum is like when you have a reallaugh.
  17. We have to appeal these red cards. The impact on our selection options is serious.
  18. Many thanks for your endeavours. Appreciate what you are doing.
  19. Highest scorers in the League 1 by some distance. Third highest ( Celtic = 16; Kelty Hearts = 16; Sons = 15) in Scotland. Pleasing.
  20. Little anecdote about the "Dumbarton Democrat" I lived abroad ( for many years) and came across the Dumbarton Democrat on the net. I observed it carried a lot of news about the OF but nothing about the Sons. I contacted the editor as an exiled Son of the Rock and asked him for coverage of DFC and said I could look at the Daily Record if I wanted to know who had broken wind at Ibrox or Parkhead, His reply was that it was not in his commercial interest to 1 cover the Sons and 2 reduce slavish reporting of the OF. So much for local democracy!!
