The Ultimate Super Ayr Thread
AyrTroopMajor replied to D'Jaffo's topic in Scottish Championship General Chatter
The last time we went to Ibrox, it was a significantly better Ayr team and a significantly worse Rangers team and we got scudded 4-0 going on 6. Not to be negative etc but I'm not anticipating an enjoyable Saturday. -

That is utterly shambolic goalkeeping I'm afraid. Make no mistake, it's cost us the points. -

Quite literally the only thing you can say for him at the moment is that he has not got to the stage of playing his own songs -

The stand was visibly emptier than usual from where I was standing, it probably felt like more if you were in there but there were a lot of spare seats that would usually be taken and the Family Stand was pretty deserted -

Aye, our resident superfan took a massive strop because McCall didn't allow him to just wander in and out the dressing room at will and as a result, 'The Boaby' ended up missing out on watching our best team for 2 decades. -

He said 'Jeezy peeps man' at half time, and upon receiving no response whatsoever, repeated it at full time. Bin him immediately. Syla was outstanding tonight, MOTM by a distance imo -

I did think this however it does not help when your goalkeeper is such a moron that he tries the same kick about 35 times and is surprised when each one lands in the McDonalds Drive Thru. -

The combination of the gale force winds and 'Somerset Boab's hot air will surely result in some kind of vortex which hopefully we'll all get sucked into and by the time we land, this godforsaken season will be over. -

Wonder what will be more howling. The wind, or Ayr's performance. Something to think about. -

Stirling and Montrose mutually agreed to postpone. You can bet your arse Arbroath will be keen to postpone. So yes. Ayr would absolutely be in a position to make the decision however seem very determined to host this shitfest instead. -

We had that supposed advantage 2 weeks ago and pissed it up the wall Edit: the injury part, not the working part -

If both teams agreeing to postpone due to the forecast is sufficient as it seems to be for Stirling and Montrose, then this game will surely follow the same path. -

I'm afraid I know for a fact they don't work like that. They operate very much on a 'give the game every chance' basis. -

There is not one single person on this earth who wants to attend Somerset Park this evening to watch two pretty dreadful football teams booting a ball into 70mph winds. Get this game off right now. -

That is precisely the problem when the only interviews we ever get are effectively an extension of the official club media rather than the actual written media. The club are in control of the narrative and I would assume pretty clear about what is allowed to be said and what isn't. I would also have my doubts as to whether the interview hosts even actually attend games, although I may be wrong -

Having been the one that brought up the training facilities in the first place, I do agree with the above. However as I said, in the medium-long term, finding our own facility should be on the agenda. I am all too aware there isn't a magic money tree and David Smith deserves a huge amount of credit for the infrastructure he is putting in place, but a decent training facility is something which could very well be the difference between a player signing for us and signing for someone else. Players want to feel like they are working in a professional environment and the stadium/training ground is a big part of the player's first impression. -

The halftime 'penalty shootout' is painful as well. "Right Ollie, on ye go pal. Aw sorry, Aidan. Was that in? AH CANNAE SEE".
