Extremely noticeable yesterday that we had about 5 players warming up all through the 2nd half that Bullen evidently had no intention of putting on. What a squad.

For the first half hour yesterday, Ahui was utterly horrific. Beat by his man every time and far more to blame for the shitshow of a start than Mutch was. Granted he improved after that once the team realised the game had started but his performance prior to that was far worse than anything produced by Mutch. I know we don't want the long ball pish that we have endured for much of Bullen's tenure but we are simply not good enough to play out from the back the way that we attempted to yesterday. It put an already fragile goalkeeper and defence under immediate pressure and was extremely hard to watch.

I don't particularly share your confidence here. That first half today is worse than anything I've seen any other team in this division produce.

That shambolic first 45 was the worst I've seen any Ayr team produce since we got horsed 7-0 at Somerset by Caley Thistle 14 years ago. Utterly appalling. The fact that Dunfermline let us back into that game is unbelievable and yet, going by Pars fans on here, all too believable. In summary; we are both shite. Happy New Year lads.

Seen yesterday that GMFC are advertising for a new Commercial Manager on a 25-30k wage. Good luck to them... Ayr make a good amount from the new Cameron's Bar on a matchday, always felt that it's a bit of a missed opportunity for Morton that everyone piles into The Norseman rather than a club-owned bar. That's a potentially good revenue stream going to waste imo

Some very interesting points raised. It may be an obvious and slightly lazy example but I thought very much along the same lines as VT a couple of years ago regarding the 'best part-time vs worst full-time' debate when Arbroath were flying high at the summit and we had about 8 of your (full-time, woohoo) rejects signed by Hopkin. We are very similarly sized clubs with comparable budgets, crowds and facilities. Traditionally we would be your competition for those duds that nobody else wants, however we have done a 180 and now target random players from England instead. For every gem we unearth like Akinyemi, we unearth 3 or 4 horrifying jobbers. I'm not sure if what we are doing is 'better', but what is definitely true that there are a hell of a lot of good players down there who are begging for a chance of full-time football to showcase what they can do, and if the alternative is plucking Kirk Broadfoot from the 5th tier and hoping for the best, then it is surely a route worth exploring.

Akinyemi's form tailed off because other teams realised that he was pretty much all we had and if they cut off the supply to him, we were left with nothing but McGinty's orbital rockets to nobody.

You know that stage where you simply cannot be arsed with a manager any more and no matter what he does, he's not going to win you back over? We were very average last season but had an excellent chance to reach a national cup semi and get promoted and chucked both away in disgraceful fashion. He deserved a chance to go again this season and it is clear that we have regressed, still a long ball outfit with multiple players in our starting XI that are miles off it at this level.

The whole club just seems low at the moment. Fans scunnered with the team, home form laughable, pumped again today, manager is a dinosaur, atmosphere at home games is appalling, can't get a bus going for away games. What a life. Time for a drink.

Deserved something today. Ultimately paid the price for a pretty brutal first half. I get that some may disagree, but the fans need to stop booing absolutely f***ing everything when we're under pressure. It does nobody any favours. If we're shite then by all means give them a roasting at halftime and fulltime, but during the game, it's counter-productive and in all honesty, embarrassing. I remember in the Sunderland Til I Die documentary, he was openly quite critical of the management of Chris Coleman so he certainly seems like he isn't afraid to speak up if he isn't impressed with what he's seeing

There has been no contact with social work so far, her GP decided to send a MH nurse out to do an assessment which I assume is to test for dementia but her Gran refused to participate because she couldn't understand what she was being asked. I sent a message to both her Dad and her Uncle basically pleading with them to help and they ignored me completely. I couldn't believe it to be honest. Thanks for this, very helpful. To be honest, the most difficult thing is that we have no idea who to speak to. Her Papa now has delirium and her Gran doesn't understand why he can't come home, but also is completely insistent that she is fine. When you say to chase the assessment, would you advise calling the South Ayrshire Social Work team directly?

My fiancee is currently at breaking point with severe depression and anxiety. She has found herself for the last 9 months as the sole carer for her Grandparents, both of whom have suspected dementia. In addition to her own full-time job, she is having to go round to their house every day to make their meals, pay their bils, clean up and generally keep their lives going, and often receiving abuse while doing it because her Gran's dementia is at a stage where she can be quite aggressive and she completely denies there being anything wrong with her, despite the fact that she sometimes does not even recognise her own husband, washes dishes with shampoo and can't remember the names of her own children. There is no care package in place, so she feels completely alone. I help where I can but her father and her Uncle (her Grandparents' sons) just leave her to it and are completely useless, ignoring her cries for help and her messages to them saying that she cannot do this anymore more. She tried to report her concerns to Crosshouse Hospital last September when her Gran was in for an op, and they just responded saying that they 'don't test for things like that here'. Her GP was also informed months ago of concerns but they failed to follow it up. Last week, her Papa fell and her Gran completely shut down, just left him lying on the floor all night. He is now in hospital. A request for homecare for both of them has now been submitted but we have been informed that this will take six months to be actioned. My fiancee cannot do this for another six months, she feels physically sick all the time, shaking with anxiety and talking about how she wishes she was dead. I have no idea what to do, I feel completely helpless. The only thing that will make this situation any better is for the burden to be lifted from her shoulders but being told that care is 6 months away was a hammer blow. She says that she would not take her own life because she couldn't do that to me but I'm sure plenty of people have said that and then been pushed to the point of no return.
