  1. His 50 Worst Posters thread on the General Nonsense forum spiralled into a horrific mess, with several posters including myself commenting that his 'Top 10 Reveal' was a shambles. He then suffered a massive Head's Gone, trawled through my posts from 3 years ago to prove that I am apparently a racist, then deleted the thread and asked the Mods to ban his account.
  2. No more Heartbeat for Derek Fowlds https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-51147182
  3. The only 40 year old in EFL League 1 is Aaron Wilbraham of Rochdale, who recently scored against Newcastle United.
  4. Not sure that we are in a position to scoff at the third tier of English football, we could do a lot worse than looking at players that Ipswich/Sunderland/Rotherham might be willing to let go on loan. Killie have just signed a player from Southend United, St Mirren's striker Obika was previously at third tier Oxford. Not quite sure what standard people think the Scottish Championship is but if you believe that the English third tier is in any way inferior, I am afraid you would be mistaken.
  5. Whilst I would love to see investment in the squad, I believe there is a potentially huge point made further up about next season's Championship being significantly weaker than normal. Perhaps it is a case of waiting to spend the money at the right time. Bringing players in now is all very well, but we are currently competing against teams like Dundee United who seem to not give a flying f**k about whether they are making a loss or not.
  6. By all means continue to rely on 36 year old Chris Burke then. Not really sure what makes you think you are above signing players like Alan Forrest if I'm being honest with you chief.
  7. I seem to remember the same Morton fan crash-landing in the Ayr Thread when we signed Lawrence Shankland. Fast forward a year and Lawrence Shankland was banging in goals at Cappielow in a 5-1 hounding. Swing and a miss indeed.
  8. Went for an 'interview' at Sports Direct in Ayr when I was about 17. Absolute shambles, they told all applicants (roughly 20 or so) to stand in the trainers section and wait to be called. Was standing there for 45 mins until I was taken into a room, with about 5 other candidates, and given a minute to explain why I wanted a job. The woman conducting the interview grunted when my minute was up and moved onto the next person. Was informed that we should 'assume we have been unsuccessful unless we hear any different'. Long live Mike Ashley.
  9. Good to see a noticeable rise in attendances at Clyde and Airdrie. Would expect that their home numbers are actually, at the moment, pretty close to neighbours Hamilton, whose figures will be inflated by quite a few 1k+ away crowds visiting NDP.
  10. Just been time-zoned. Will learn from this and go again
  11. That's Hertha's second last fixture of the season. i believe the final 2 rounds of fixtures in the Bundesliga all take place at the same time on the same date. Google indicates that the kick-off time for this game is 14:30 and I would be inclined to trust that. ETA: No games are moved for TV on the final 2 fixtures of the season.
  12. Make sure you post on here and let the squad know what it was like
  13. I personally thought it was a pretty clear penalty and an absolute beamer from those that are trying to pin our woeful performance on the referee (who was also shite btw). When you have the wind behind you, you have to take advantage of it. We were a shambles.
  14. Noticeable difference between the way Arbroath played with the wind at their backs and the way we played. Absolutely sleepwalked our way through the first half and ended up lucky to get a draw.
  15. I recall him being absolutely honking during a 0-0 draw at home to Slovenia, since you asked.
  16. The finest photograph in the history of Scottish football. Ian McCall strides across the pitch to applaud the travelling support after a 1-1 draw between St Mirren and Ayr United at St Mirren Park. So much to unpack here... - The ruffian mother balancing her toddler in one hand and flipping McCall off with the other. - Humpty Dumpty guffawing in McCall's direction, gently caressing his gut. - Ross Kemp suffering a Head's Gone and performing a 'Hawd Me Back' routine with the advertising board. - Ryan Stevenson balancing his own toddler on his forearm like a waiter in order to remind McCall that the game finished in a 1-1 draw.
  17. As Will McKenzie once said, that was fucking dreadful. Good of the players to waken up once we got to the 90th minute. Shame about the previous 89.
  18. Only country in Europe which still utilises the death penalty, so possibly an attractive destination for gammons.
  19. All about opinions but I thought he was the complete opposite
  20. I'm all too familiar with the shitemare that is watching a relegation-threatened shambolic outfit featuring Gary Harkins, but I thought he added a slight bit of spark to Thistle at Somerset when he came on, albeit the game was over by then. Surely would have been worth throwing him on rather than refusing to make any changes at all
  21. Just as a warning to Arbroath fans - if you lose this game, you can expect regular visits/garbled nonsense on your thread/match threads from a selection of mind-numbing, tragic junior posters. I sadly speak from experience.
  22. Hertha confirm that Ante Covic has been punted. Jurgen Klinsmann has been given the job until the end of the season.
  23. Phil Parkinson on the brink already at Sunderland. Lost 7 out of 11 games following last night's 2-1 defeat to Burton Albion at the Stadium of Light. Tragic.
