The Relegation Battle
AyrTroopMajor replied to Alert Mongoose's topic in Scottish Championship General Chatter
Dismayed to see that this thread has strayed from the topic of Ian McCall's impending relegation. Let's get this back on track please x -

The Relegation Battle
AyrTroopMajor replied to Alert Mongoose's topic in Scottish Championship General Chatter
Sitting back and watching this unfold will be absolutely delightful if we are assuming that everyone from Dundee upwards is safe. Thistle are easily the worst team I have watched this season however that perhaps stems from Ayr's ability to make QOS look like 1990 AC Milan. I said a few pages back that the final table could be heavily influenced by a managerial change and subsequent new manager bounce. Do QOS fans see that happening at Palmerston? -

I bought a Hertha BSC shirt on DH Gate on the advice of @LondonHMFC and was doubtful given that they are probably technically 'fakes'. Should never have worried. Looks perfect and cost me a full 60 (SIXTY) Euros less than if I had bought them from Hertha directly -
Do Falkirk own a training ground?

The Ultimate Super Ayr Thread

Hopefully something similar to the Sunderland Netflix documentary when Martin Bain discovers that Jack Rodwell has refused to leave the club. Kaboom. -
Would you find much in the way of Ayr fans in parts of North Ayrshire due to the transport links? Thinking places on the Ayr branch of the Ayrshire coast line like Glengarnock/Kilbirnie, Dalry, Kilwinning & Irvine. You'll get a few dotted about but towns and villages in Ayrshire are dominated by Rangers fans, from bottom to top. You only need to look at the absolute nick of Irvine Meadow's home kit to see what I mean...

Aye that was confirmed last year. No requirement to make any changes. -
Old guy at my work used to go around screwing a tiny whole into the side of people's cans of juice, so that every time someone lifted the can to take a drink, juice would go all over the person's shirt and they would sit there absolutely baffled thinking that they had missed their mouth. So then they would take another drink. Same result.

A four-sided stadium with only one stand open? No thanks. Will happily piss in a hole for years to come if that is the alternative matchday experience. -

I can't see anyone wanting to scale the walls at Somerset just to nick an Ayr flag (Union Bears excepted, the little mutant weirdos). -

The fact that they want 80 Euros for a shirt on the continent as opposed to 15 for a scarf comes into it as well! -

Think it's an excellent point about the street-facing wall of the Somerset Road End. I don't see those in houses across the road making any objections if we were to get that painted in black and white panels. Surely anything is better than grey stone? Would perhaps be a worthwhile exercise to contact the Council's Employability & Skills Team and see if we can get a project set up with them for young people with an interest in painting and decorating to come along and paint that wall. Mutually beneficial to all concerned and it would certainly be an improvement. Would also like to see the back wall of the SRE inside decorated with flags on a permanent basis similar to what Burton Albion and Partick Thistle have (below) Basically make the place black and white as f**k. -

I'm exactly the same, a scarf from anywhere I visit is an absolute must. Would also rather not own a scarf of a team that I have not visited because I would then feel like an absolute fraud. Was absolutely disgusted to find that Wrexham's club shop was shut after Full Time when we played them in the Biscuit Cup earlier this season. -

St Johnstone fans certainly outed themselves on Saturday then. Don't see any fights being picked between Ayr and Thistle fans tbh. I don't have anything against the fans, I would just absolutely love to see McCall and his 'red and yellow' pish patter enter the depths of Scottish football and never return. -
He spoke after resigning of his confidence that Hertha were on track to achieve the goal of remaining in the league - that kind of mentality needs to be binned asap if they are serious about pushing themselves into the elite level in Germany.

David Murray and Ayr United springs to mind... -
Would frankly be a bit weird if yous didn't chief. It's a popular soundtrack to many/most of our games.
-
He's potentially cost the club thousands of pounds through his absolute stupidity
-
Absolutely needless to go flying into a tackle on the halfway line, especially after just being booked. Muirhead has single-handedly cost his teammates, the club and the fans and I wouldn't be arsed if he never makes another appearance.

Mandatory nudity. -
And deny yourself the opportunity to see Kerrball in the flesh? Your loss chief.

No real incentive for Ayr fans to buy in advance of matchday itself when there are weather warnings in place. Whilst I hope it goes ahead for the benefit of the St Johnstone fans (nothing like a big away day), I have no desire to see a repeat of the home game against Arbroath. Both teams deserve better than that.
