  1. FAO anyone going to Berlin https://www.dw.com/en/germany-escape-tunnel-under-berlin-wall-opens-to-public/a-51157303 An escape tunnel from East to West Berlin has opened to the public for the first time. Looks excellent.
  2. And yet you still sing songs about us every weekend xxx
  3. The Berlin derby has potential if Union can retain Bundesliga status beyond this season. Certainly seemed to be a reasonable degree of animosity between both sets of fans on Saturday with Hertha fans launching a rocket into the Union dugout among other incidents. The 'friendly' relationship between the two seems to be eroding.
  4. If Saturday's absolutely gutless derby performance is anything to go by, then they might want to do that sooner rather than later.
  5. Logged into P&B this morning and saw I had about 8 pages of unread content in the Ayr v Thistle thread, Thought I was in for a delightful hour of chat about Ian McCall's fizzing coupon and the absolutely orgasmic display of Kerrball. Instead, I get this absolute pish. F*** off.
  6. GK - Lee Camp RB - Phil Neville CB - Dedryck Boyata CB - Jason Denayer LB - Luke Shaw RM - Stewart Downing CB - Kleberson CB - Bebe LM - Laurent Robert ST - Francis Jeffers ST - Fred
  7. I attended a Hallowe'en party a few years ago dressed as a priest, and received an evening full of sectarian abuse for my troubles.
  8. Dynamo Dresden set to take around 35,000 fans to Berlin tonight for their cup game at Hertha. Absolutely ridiculous numbers.
  9. Greenock born Luke McCowan once again dishing out a 'swording' to his local team. Delicious.
  10. What was the rough count of away fans, do you know? Looks like there were very few.
  11. Another opportunity to go top spunked up the wall. A draw possibly fair but we definitely didn't deserve to win. Luke McCowan, as bright a prospect as he is, really needs to learn to use his right foot.
  12. Ignoring the lunatic posters may seem like a good idea in theory, but imo you're shooting yourself in the foot by doing that. Take Magee as an example. An absolute mess of a poster, but by ignoring him you are simply risking losing out on the (very) occasional highlights, with Tony's Thread being a prime example. Best just to tolerate the dross in the hope that, one day, you will be rewarded.
  13. Dundee to Ayr can be done in about 2 hours, maybe 2 and a half, Dunfries is probably 2 and a half to 3 hours... people can finish work at 4.30 and still make it to Ayr, but not to Dunfries I'd imagine? About half an hour of a difference, so aye. Of course we aren't taking into account that Dundee FC are absolutely massive with supporters in all corners of the nation.
  14. Realise there's a bigger distance to go, but I think Dundee only took about 70 to Dumfries on a Friday night a few weeks ago.
  15. Much like yourselves, I think we'll see a couple hundred less from Dundee than we would have on a Saturday. I'd say the home crowd will probably be roughly 100-200 less as well. ETA: Our only home Friday night home game so far was Dundee Utd at home in January, so the crowd was pretty reasonable as the title was still up for grabs.
  16. He's said he is done with coaching though, so it would be a bit of a gamble...
  17. Jupp Heynckes had said in 2013 that he had 'no intention of coaching again', and then in 2017 returned to coaching and won the Bundesliga.
  18. Not entirely. I think, as I said above, that Mark Roberts struggled to go from being one of the lads to being the main man. It's a very difficult transition.
  19. Of the list of candidates that was discussed, I would have liked to have went for Peter Houston, if he was interested. FWIW, I would put Mark Kerr above some of the candidates that were listed, but I'm just not sure how easy it is to go from 'one of the lads' to being the boss, within the space of a few days.
  20. Don't recall there ever being confirmation that Darren Young was 'the alternative', nor hearing that people would have been more happy with him. The fact is that giving the job to a man who has no coaching experience at all, regardless of how long he has been in full time dressing rooms, is a gamble that I don't believe was really necessary and certainly brings back memories of Mark Roberts, who let's not forget had also been 'in full time dressing rooms' for 20 years.
  21. With the exception of Derek McInnes, every one of those was at least a reserve team/youth team/academy coach prior to becoming a first team manager. Mark Kerr, on the other hand, came off the pitch on Saturday as a player and is suddenly now the manager. It's pretty evident that he would not have been anyone's first choice but I hope he proves me wrong.
  22. Managerial stripes should be earned in League Two or One, not at a club who are supposedly competing for the title in the Championship. Absolutely laughable appointment.

Started a Career Mode with my pal, decided to go for (Third Tier) FC Kaiserslautern as our club of choice. Sent a scout out to look for strikers whose prime attribute is pace. He came back a week later and suggested we sign Champions League and German International Timo Werner. F**k off.
