  1. When we first got him, he was tearing teams apart and I couldn't believe we'd managed to get him. His performance levels were often wildly different one week to the next, so it was impossible to predict whether he was going to roast some wee jobber at full back or whether he was going to display Harry Potter levels of invisibility. I do think people got carried away in criticising him after he left and forget the huge part he played in getting us back up here. I hope he's a huge success for Dundee but aye, just be prepared for occasions where you forget he's even on the pitch.
  2. Our recent recruitment has been, on the whole, very good. The prize here, as previously mentioned, goes to one club and one club only.
  3. Needless to say that hasn't hit the headlines over here so I wasn't aware of that at all. Cheers. Hopefully the result is nullified and a wee 2-0 win is awarded to Der Club to boost their promotion hopes*
  4. I think that's just as well given that you have somehow managed to get a -4377 reputation from only 2432 posts.
  5. Interesting, I've always wondered what the number one sport is in Ireland - would you say that both GAA and rugby are more popular than football? Also, what made you join this forum? Do you have a team over here?
  6. Absolutely agree. He is perfectly capable of tearing Geggan apart if he is on form and I think we should just shut up about him because slating him on here and claiming that he would be 5th choice winger if he was still with Ayr is only going to come back and bite us on the arse. ETA: I stick by my comment about the number of footballs we lost from his 'cut inside and shoot' stunts. That was factual.
  7. An absolute pounding for Nurnberg at the hands of Hamburg last night, and on their own patch as well. As someone who has a fiver on them bouncing straight back to the Bundesliga, I would urge Damir Canadi and the lads to f****g waken up.
  8. Apology accepted. You may now pay the same as everyone else.
  9. Absolutely no idea why anyone would wanna charge Dundee fans more when they come down here, it's hardly their fault that their board are robbing b******s. With the exception of you. It has absolutely nothing to do with being a 'good supporter', £24 to watch second tier Scottish football while some luminous arsehole tells you to sit down is utterly laughable.
  10. I'd estimate we lost about 10 footballs to the railway line last season due to such attempts.
  11. Superb performance yesterday. We did almost let it slip but definitely merited the 2 goal margin. On the ticketing situation, I genuinely am concerned that we are driving folk away. Against Stranraer, I saw an old guy produce a printed ticket which failed to scan, and the turnstile operator sent him away. He had no idea what had went wrong and was given no advice or help. Doubt he'll be back. Anyway, a good start to the season. Ainsley Harriott, Gregg Wallace etc etc.
  12. The number of Ayr United Da's that take to facebook to post pictures of themselves in Lanzarote wearing the new Ayr shirt has completely opened my eyes to the fact that it is an absolute beamer.
  13. Airdrie 1-3 Forfar Clyde 1-2 East Fife Dumbarton 1-2 Raith Peterhead 0-3 Falkirk Stranraer 3-1 Montrose
  14. Christ, a red dot and my opinion labelled 'horrific'. Happy Monday to you too m9.
  15. Sachsenhausen Concentration Camp is an hour's train journey, but still covered under Zone C of the Berlin train system. Topography of Terror is free to enter, excellent and definitely worth a couple of hours of your time. I believe there are also walking tours which cover a lot of WW2 sites, a quick Google search would confirm. If you do go to the Olympiastadion, there are tours including tours occasionally in English, but you could also just pay to get into the grounds and wander around. You can also then wander into the stadium and go up to the upper tier etc at your own leisure. The Hertha shop is located in the Ostkurve, which is worth a browse if you're interested in that.
  16. Erm, no. I just saw it coming a mile away. Thanks anyway
  17. Absolutely shambolic. Played off the park two weeks in a row by a third tier outfit and now probably done ourselves out of an extra signing. Utterly predictable as well who would miss the penalty. Well done to all concerned. Fuuuuuuck me.
  18. Boy in my class at school used to thump his head off the table whenever the teacher asked a question and he got the answer wrong. And I mean thumped. Actually arched his head backwards to create maximum momentum for the follow through. Met him a few years after we left school on the train between Glasgow and Ayr and he had just got a new girlfriend (his first). Spent the entire journey banging on about her and asking if I had a girlfriend, knowing full-well that I didn't. Turned out she dumped him a week later and went off with some other guy on their music course. Get it right f***ing up him.
  19. The Fugitive. Will never be anything other than an absolute belter. 9/10.
