  1. There is not one single person on this earth who wants to attend Somerset Park this evening to watch two pretty dreadful football teams booting a ball into 70mph winds. Get this game off right now.
  2. That is precisely the problem when the only interviews we ever get are effectively an extension of the official club media rather than the actual written media. The club are in control of the narrative and I would assume pretty clear about what is allowed to be said and what isn't. I would also have my doubts as to whether the interview hosts even actually attend games, although I may be wrong
  3. Having been the one that brought up the training facilities in the first place, I do agree with the above. However as I said, in the medium-long term, finding our own facility should be on the agenda. I am all too aware there isn't a magic money tree and David Smith deserves a huge amount of credit for the infrastructure he is putting in place, but a decent training facility is something which could very well be the difference between a player signing for us and signing for someone else. Players want to feel like they are working in a professional environment and the stadium/training ground is a big part of the player's first impression.
  4. The halftime 'penalty shootout' is painful as well. "Right Ollie, on ye go pal. Aw sorry, Aidan. Was that in? AH CANNAE SEE".
  5. Fair enough I pretty much just listed various things that irk me about the club, one of which being the fact we train in public. It's something we should be looking to change in the medium-long term
  6. If it does end up being someone like Scott Brown, then I would hope that he would try to raise the standards a bit. And by that I don't just mean getting the players performing on the pitch, I also mean stuff like the nonsensical 'press conferences' held in the UWS canteen etc and holding training sessions on their astro pitch. I.e. start behaving like a professional football club. And while we're at it, a new matchday announcer please. ASAP.
  7. Incredibly sad news from Hertha Berlin https://www.bundesliga.com/en/bundesliga/news/kay-bernstein-hertha-berlin-president-passes-away-25938
  8. A manager whose strengths and admirable qualities were in every area bar the dugout. Wish him the best of luck and he deserves to go with everyone's best wishes but that article is laughable, bizarre propaganda.
  9. In fairness, you could *probably* construe this tweet as being ever so slightly abusive
  10. Just made the mistake of venturing onto Facebook. 'Hopefully the Bullen haters are happy now' etc etc. Some people are so utterly moronic. In football, there comes a time when a managerial change is needed and that time is now. Voicing this opinion doesn't equate to being a 'Bullen hater' nor does it constitute 'abuse'. I'm sure there has been some abuse that was too far, however I agree that it was far more toxic at the end of Hopkin's reign. What I've seen recently was pure apathy and boredom. As others have said, I would love to know exactly what depths we need to plumb in this division before these people realise that Bullen's time was up.
  11. 'Lee embodies the #WeAreUnited'... Absolutely cringing at that.
  12. Correct decision, imo 2 games too late, he should have went after Morton. Good luck to Lee Bullen.
  13. Tbf he's already appeared in the video for Somerset Boab's utterly honking new song, so he's already halfway there. Albeit the picture was supposed to be of Fraser Bryden, but let's not get unto the finer details.
  14. Absolutely affronted that Akheem Rose is paid to play football. Whoever is responsible for bringing him in should be catapulted over that stand into the North Sea.
  15. Lol, get it right up me. We are utterly tragic and I think its only fair that I acknowledge this mess of a post.
  16. Load of blustering nonsense from McGinty and Bullen. Absolutely scunnered with it.
  17. He's maybe involved in the conversation but we do have a specific 'Head of Recruitment', who btw should be feeling pretty twitchy right about now too
  18. Four out of the five wins were only by a 1-0 margin and the only time we scored more in a win was against an utterly honking Cove Rangers, which ended 3-0. Any time we do score more than a goal at home, our defence caveat that by chucking them in at the other end.
  19. Just in case anyone was dying to know, and because I have very little else to do in a Sunday, here is our home league record (including playoff) in the past year, from 7th January 2023 to 6th January 2024: Played: 18 Wins: 5 Draws: 5 Losses: 8 Goals For: 17 Goals Against: 28
  20. Think it was approached the same way as last season. Sign a load of randoms from England and hope for the best. You can't argue that it hasn't been reasonably successful but the inevitable moment they failed to unearth an Akinyemi/Adeloye, we were always going to be in big trouble. I understand that Smith and Mathie like Bullen and I know he works very hard etc, but the nature of football is that sometimes you just need to change, the players need a new voice, new direction etc because its gone stale. If what we're watching right now doesn't convince Smith and Mathie that things have gone stale then I honestly don't know what will.
  21. Glad I'm not the only one that's noticed his extremely suspect follow list
  22. Particularly noticed this in the Dunfermline game. Ahui had an absolutely mortifying start to the game but any time he got on the ball and looked for a pass, Chalmers was actually penning him in by hugging the touchline and not moving or showing in behind. Was evident again today.
  23. Exactly, creating chances against a team in woeful form who started the day below us in the league isn't something praiseworthy. It's a minimum requirement. Cannot stomach this club at the moment, it feels like a completely rudderless ship heading for oblivion. I need a drink.
  24. People saying we weren't that bad today are obviously slightly swayed by the fact we scored and should probably have scored at least another, but defensively that was an abomination. To save our season, he needs to go and it needs to be now. Our home record is an utter disgrace, you cannot keep serving that dross up to people.
