To be fair, I think @Toby is asking a pretty reasonable question. I don't see any logic in Inverness, or any other team for that matter, announcing fictional crowd figures. Pretending that a crowd of 800 is in fact a crowd of 1700 is far more embarrassing than simply having a crowd of 800..

Sunderland Til I Die Season 2 confirmed as being released on April 1st. April Fool's Day.
Featuring the nonsensical January sale of their top goalscorer, the farcical £3m signing of Will Grigg, Jack Ross clutching draws from the jaws of victory and 2 soul-crushing defeats at Wembley,

I cannot believe I used to doubt Daniel Harvie. That header off the goal-line in the first half is every bit as vital as a goal. Some boy, hope he forgives me and has a glittering career.

That wasn't a game for the purists.
Spent a fair bit of time in our own half in the 2nd half without ever looking in much danger. Good luck compiling highlights. Will not watch.0 -
Good to see Robbie Neilson is as popular as ever among his disciples.

Hope no wee bams abuse Shankland tonight. Learn to recognise a club icon when you see one.

Dundee United are crossing the Championship finishing line with all the grace of Derek Trotter falling through the bar.
Home win.

True enough, but the monkey noises directed at Torunarigha were not just a one-off and also reported to the referee who opted to take no action. They do sing about the DFB quite a lot. 'DFB, fussballmafia' and 'scheisse DFB'.
Would agree about the language. If you want to be insulting, surely there must be better than son of a whore. Is that the German equivalent of 'fucking c**t'?
I find the whole 'but they don't stop the games for racism but do for banners about a white billionaire' a bit pretendy woke. A handful of fans shouting something offensive about a black player at close range is incredibly difficult for the referee to pick up on and is often over in a matter of seconds.0 -
As a neutral at this game who did not give one single f**k about the outcome, I can honestly say that I am a bit baffled by Goodwin's comment about playing the 'better football'. There were precious few genuine moments of quality in the game and I don't remember anything of the sort coming from St Mirren.
Obika seemed to be hopelessly isolated the majority of the time, there was no point in the game that Aberdeen seemed to be in any way under threat. That is not to say that they were outstanding. Their goal was outstanding, but after that they were not tested at all other than a strike from distance that Lewis managed to palm away fairly comfortably.
Would be absolutely gutted if I were a Saints fan, 'an opportunity missed' doesn't even begin to cover it.

I for one have been watching and supporting Ayr for 60 years, if a plastic pitch comes in I’ll not be back, that’s why I wasn’t there today and won’t be at Dumfries in a couple of weeks absolute torture watching games on it, only good for training on to keep up fitness.
You have been attending Ayr United matches for 60 years, and have undoubtedly witnessed countless humbling defeats to the likes of Brechin City, Cowdenbeath and Stenhousemuir, yet this is the hill you would choose to die on? A pitch?
Behave.

There is absolutely not a chance that Dunfermline Athletic will be anywhere near the relegation zone. It is now a straight shoot-out between inconsistent Alloa, an utterly jobby Thistle and a laughable QoS team who will still undoubtedly give us a severe roasting at Palmerston.

I still love Fawlty Towers and still find it hilarious, especially the one where Basil gets the knock on the head, that doesn't mean that I'm a Nazi or a holocaust denier
What a quote this is by the way.

The Ultimate Super Ayr Thread rooting out the Tories. Good to see.

Union's banners did include the line 'Fick dich DFB' at the end so the DFB are getting it as well, and rightly so. I find it a bit cringe that they are choosing 'son of a whore' as the language of choice but I do have a large amount of sympathy with the Ultra groups.
Ultras groups do a lot of good in Germany, with Bayern's being a great example in leading the fight against fascism, antisemitism, homophobia and racism. One of the things that has been highlighted, and rightly so, is the DFB's strong reaction to the anti-Hopp protests, with the Union Berlin game being one banner away from a full-on abandonment. Contrast this to the Schalke-Hertha game in the Pokal, where Jordan Torunarigha was racially abused yet play went on regardless. Is racism okay but a collective protest against a millionaire owner is not?

The BBC forecast isn't too bad rain wise. Gusty 40 odd mph winds for game time.
Cant see it being off.
Hope you're right chief, stopping off on the way back from Alloa to take in this tasty clash.

Is there any likelihood at all that this game wouldn't go ahead or has the pitch full recovered after last week's apocalyptic scenes in Paisley?

Heading this weekend on a Stag Doo as mentioned a wee bit above.
Any help on best places to go to for a group of guys in our late 30’s & 40’s.
Decent music, beer and some candy for the eye would be preferable. The Friedrichshain area of the city is good for bars etc with decent music. Eye candy is debatable unless you are referring to some deliciously juicy pints in which case that is also an unquestionable yes.

Why the f**k didn't Michael Moffat just head the ball into the net? Horrific decision.
Also, is Scott Tiffoney is supposedly an upgrade on Craig McGuffie then I am just not seeing it.0 -

The olympiastadion was always a fortress the past couple of seasons. Bring back Lusti!Yet this season has seen wins picked up in Koln, Leverkusen and Wolfsburg with draws in Munich and Frankfurt, places where they would ordinarily get a hiding. Good thing too or they would be marooned at the bottom.

Huge game in the 2. Bundesliga tonight as leaders Arminia Bielefeld travel to 3rd place Stuttgart. A win for Arminia will put them 9 points clear at the top and one hand on the trophy, while a win for Stuttgart will send them into 2nd place, 3 points clear of absolute shitebags Hamburg.
For the purposes of keeping Hamburg in the second tier for as long as possible - mon the Stuttgart.
