  1. And, the old "Scottish football will die without Newco" is a lie that needs to be nailed every time it is spouted. SFL 1, 2 & 3 have survived for years without OF largesse. There is life outside Glasgow.
  2. I think one of the most fundamental issues here is that we are all fed up being told what to think by ex OF players in the MSM. It really does beggar belief that we are being lectured by the football equivalents of those well known private plane flying, multi-home environmentalists Bono and Sting. We can think for ourselves, thanks.
  3. One of the highlights of the whole caboodle is the fact that there will always be at least one Diddy in each cup final. As some posted dozens of pages ago - "this is for true fans who get excited when their team gets in a quarter final"
  4. Got to agree with that. Their support is torn between despising Rangers and enjoying the "banter". What a shame, they won't be able to hide behind the "heritage" of each other.
  5. Shhhhhh! Is that the sound a Blue Knight galloping to the rescue? Or Steptoe's cart? What a day!
  6. Perhaps the MSM muppets will now realise that Scottish football is national, not just confined to two teams in Glasgow.
  7. This is a bit hard for me to type..........but well done Dundee United. I think I'll lie down, nurse.
  8. This is getting exciting - shall we ask the artist formerly known as to sing about the thread about the team formerly known as.... http://www.youtube.c...h?v=6yB5Dh4F7Es (no good at posting the trailer pic)
  9. RTC is impressive, but it's just soooooooooooooooo serious. Nae banter or offthewallness.
  10. Will we get a Supergroup of potential heroes appearing at some stage (cf ELP, Blind Faith, Asia etc) or merely a Woolies Pik'n'Mix of has-beens turning up next? Never good for more than one album anyway - too many well entrenched egos.
  11. Anyone seen or heard of a Blue Knight lately? Where are these high profile heroes these days?
  12. Hmmm, RTC has some pretty astounding comments that seem hard to believe. But given the goings on (or rather walkings away) today, anything seems possible!
  13. People going downhill fast, in the name of obnoxious political views. Nothing to see here then.....
  14. Can I get this straight - SPL clubs see potentially losing the club formerly known as Rangers and possibly some TV money as a bigger risk to their existance than the possibile consequences of relegation to the glamour of SFL1? Because that's what is sounds like to me. All Diddy clubs must have some fear of relegation each season and have some financial plan to cope. Surely? Surely!
  15. Er, no. We're still living it up in the SFL, having taken it like men. A pity the govanites can't manage the same.
  16. The 25 points was made up by the SFL as they went along. There was no precedent.
  17. Dammit, got to go out. Trust someone wll post the "correct" picture on page 1893
  18. OK, but notice it's never 3pm or later on a Sunday and the Police don't want evening kickoffs any more due to the risk of trouble. So they are still *****
  19. And will these games have to be played on a Sunday before 12.30 as fans of either team can't be trusted not to turn up ****ed and create trouble? This is one of the things that I can't get over the MSM not commenting on - imagine if Hearts v Hibs, Rath v Pars, Dees v Arabs etc were such powderkegs of bad behaviour that they couldn't be held at 3pm on a Saturday? The clubs would be disciplined and told to get their act together of face suspension. Strange its never happened to the OF, eh?
  20. Having read a couple of the papers this morning, some thoughts are: Dont'cha just love the "Green needs to listen to the fans" stuff about Team Cardigan? If that's the case, why does the MSM still insist other SPL chairmen shouldn't listen to therir fans? (See phrases like Aberdeen being "bounced" into voting No. Is that the same "bouncing" that we call democracy or customer views?) The (yet another) new Murray at Ibrox is still whinging about the "hysteria" and "already had enough punishment" , with "99.9% innocent". The only penalties others have made them pay are 10 points, so get a grip. You've still not been punished for the EBT / dual contracts cheating (and, for example) Sally's "transparency" outburst. There are suggestions that Green invites Team Cardie to sit round a table at Ibrox for a meeting. Love to be a fly on the wall for that one. Can you picture Cardie Man finally realising, while sititng in the boardroom, that he is there as a guest and may never, ever again get back inside the business area of Ibrox, unless Green condescends to let him in? "Do you take sugar in your tea, Mr Smith? Do you want a look round for old time's sake? We're planning on making a few changes" Also read that Roger the Rabbit feels "Rangers need to show some contrition and go down to Div3 etc". Who'd of thought we'd hear that sort of sense from a former football administrator? Lastly, some Rangers fan in a broadsheet article ends up with "you don't get a safer pair of hands at Rangers than Walter Smith". Someone should point out to him that he was at the heart of Rangers while they surged into unmanageable debt and controversial contracts with SDM. It really is a farce.
