Froxy saying on Instagram it's his last week in Scotland.

Good to see the players haven't given up just yet.

Sons fans must pay more per away goal than anyone else in the country.

Is there any suggestion Queens wouldn't keep Russell? It would seem strange to let him go, given another strong return this season.

What a day.

Nade a doubt but could feature from the bench, according to the site.
I'd be very surprised if he's in the squad.

Players compensate fans for the 6-0 pumping at Palmerston - https://sonstrust.wordpress.com/2016/04/19/players-back-the-fans/
I'm quite surprised at that. I felt the shouts for compensation by a few fans were OTT and really quite against the notion of supporting a club. We support Dumbarton, surely anyone following us (especially in this division) knows that there's a chance of an absolute pumping? I found it strange that some feel like there's a sort of minimum score we need to lose by for the performance to be acceptable. Or to put it another way - was losing 2-0 to Livi not a more disappointing away day, given that we were expected to take something from the game and turned in a truly horrific performance with barely a shot on goal?
Having said that, I doff my cap to the players for doing it. They really didn't have to and it shows that they hurt in the same way fans do after a bad defeat. Hopefully the fans now turn up and back the team for the last 3 games with this Saturday and at Alloa on the last day (where the bus will now be subsidised) being arguably the two biggest games of our stint in this division.
Fantastic gesture, but totally unnecessary. I'm frankly amazed anyone was actually shouting for compensation. Wasn't so long ago we were getting absolute doings off the likes of Forfar and Montrose, some folk need a bit of perspective.

Anyone feeling down about yesterday's result should give this a wee read. Really puts into context what this club has achieved in the last few seasons.

There's no issue with referring to us as semi-pro. The only line that was a bit patronising and made it sound like pub football was
'This is football in it's purest form. 22 men hoping to out wit each other with a ball and passion.'

He signed for Hibs on my gameHe's certainly not backing Donald Trump I can confirm that much
Never say never
I bring him back on every single Football Manager, and this year's will be no different

We could maybe get-
Longridge from Livi if they go down
Ohara on Loan from Falkirk
Scullion from Morton
Russell from QOS
Aggy if released by St mirren
I'm sure there's many more.
Beanie back in a Sons strip would be phenomenal.
Will never happen, though.

We're five ahead of Livingston with four to play. It's not so many years ago that Morton were ten ahead with four to go, and we finished a point ahead of them, if I've remembered the situation correctly. That's why I'm in Nowhereman's camp, and will be taking nothing for granted.
Morton Hibsing it long before Hibsing it was fashionable.

Finished 4-1 Stenny. The terrier was rampant apparently.
The very game that launched the sparkling career of a certain Joe Savage, while we gubbed Arbroath at Gayfield to take it to the last day of the season, at home to Alloa.
We lost out on promotion, which could ultimately be traced back to John Gemmell's extra-time winner against us at New Douglas Park.
That was a great season.

My bad. It's late and not the best time for calculations.
That makes it better. That's a massive step we've taken tonight then.
Knew my Maths degree would come in handy one day
Big step indeed taken tonight. I hope we approach the Raith game in the same manner.

Huge, huge win tonight.
5 points clear with a possible 15 points available for Livi to play for.
It's far from over, but we've taken a huge step tonight.
9 points available for Livi.

5 points from guaranteed safety now.

Whoa, easy tiger.
In reality we're playin QoTS, whose record against us is unquestionably good, then against a confirmed play-off team, then a resurgent St. MIrren , followed by another play-off team, and finish against a team with nothing to lose.
It will not be easy to get two wins from any of these games, in my opinion.
Remember it's the Sons we're discussing here, and this hasn't been the easiest season!
I didn't say it would be easy.

Win the next three at home and it'll be guaranteed.
Two wins should just about be enough, in reality.

About as good an outcome as we could have hoped for tonight. One more game ticked off without Livi making ground.

Is it? I have absolutely no intention of watching a Rangers title party/Dumbarton being pumped, especially with a couple of jumped up Rangers fan fawning over every pass.
Watch it on mute, obvs.

Looks like the game is on Rangers tv tomorrow, despite the Champions League restrictions.

For any Sons fans hoping to watch Tuesday's game on Rangers TV then you're out of luck. Champions league dictatorship in full flow that evening.
I might need to just grate my dick and go now
Even worse that they can win the league against us after that Raith equaliser.

Sounds like some dodgy refereeing in the Livi game has kept us in 8th.

I'd say livi will get one win looking at that, on paper, maybe a point at cappielow, but raith May take their foot of the gas
Looking at our remaining fixtures, possibly 7/21 Morton, alloa wins, point against st mirren?
On paper, they should have got nothing today. Means f**k all.

Sons' sorrow

He might just mean he's going back to Cyprus for the summer (I don't think he has another job?). However, I'd read it as him being on his way.
Aitken seems so determined not to give him any game time that it's unlikely he'll change his mind now. The only way I see him making an appearance is if we're behind and going for broke by throwing him on. Which, to be fair, could well happen.
