thank-you Dundee United I was fortunate enough to have got a ticket for the Gothenburg UEFA final, and when you talk about integrity and sporting behaviour, the Dundee Utd fans were absolutely magnificent at the end of the match, showing the best sporting applause I have ever witnessed towards a team who had defeated them - I felt so proud to have been Scottish that night. I am now so proud of the decision that Dundee Utd have taken this evening which will win them new friends up and down the country. THANK-YOU DUNDEE UNITED

sorry to disagree, but the stripping of titles is for another day, it is not important at this time. Te big issue is the question of whether or not there is a direct connection between the oldco and newco. The likes of Sir Walter of Cardigan, Davie Queen, Fat Sally etc etc realise that their main objective is to see a continuation of the two clubs, hence all the posturing that has been going on. let's all keep focussed on the main issue at present - NEWCO means NEW CLUB and let's stick to that issue and not be sidetracked. titles for the the old rangers fc will, no doubt, be stripped in due course when the dust has settled.

Considering that I was talking to a 'Rangers' fan yesterday who is in denial and wondering which league 'his' club will eventually be playing in, yes ,I'd say there is definitely a need for the SFA to put an end to the arguments about oldco rangers and newco rangers. The majority of their fans still think this Newco is the same club. Talk of stripping of titles is just another side-show - just get to the crux of the matter, and let the SFA tell the world that the old rangers are dead and buried and the newco is just that, a new company and new club.
-
The easiest solution for all this is for the SFA to acknowledge that Rangers F.C. as we knew them are DEAD. Let there be an enquiry into the past by all means but why complicate matters - titles can eventually be stripped if required, but should have no bearing whatsover on a NEWCO. Let the SFA determine which league any NEWCO be admitted to, AND TELL THEM THEY ARE A NEW CLUB WITH NO HISTORY.

time to disagree with a st mirren fan but I suppose it had to happen sooner or later. just leave the 'old' rangers with all their trophies - an asterisk alongside each, noting how they cheated to win them, will suffice, and be there for eternity for everyone to see. by doing that, then the 'newco' will have to accept what they are - a 'NEWCO', with no trophies and and no history

...whatever, but you will be forever be remembered as cheats, and your new clubs nickname now appears to be 'The Zombies'. If it were my club I'd be ashamed, but then again, you used to be Rangers, the biggest club in the universe. No one liked you, you didn't care - now you really know how true that was. You'd better get used to 'The Zombies', no nickname could be more appropriate.

much obliged, extremely informative. It seems to me though that the SFA are attempting to 'save' Rangers, and that previous rumours of relegation to the first division could be true. The SFA seem to be digging a deeper hole - why just they don't admit t that this latest twist is nothing to do about fans, new league structure, pyramid schemes or whatever and just an attempt at circumnavigating the SPL rules and an attempt to try and give rangers an escape route. It's far too late in the day, with the league fixtures almost out, to think we're all stupid enough to believe their spin. Does the SFA think we all came up the clyde on a water biscuit ?

hmmm.....was around the same time....but I can assure you that the STT group discussed going down this route and were unanimous against such a move. STT would have started a new club ,along similar lines to what Clydebank did., and would not have tried to put another club out of business. Ask the usual suspects who will confirm this.
