Not that much positivity about Mitch Megginson signing. If someone had said this time last year you have a choice of 2 strikers, mitch megginson or Jim Lister i'm pretty sure most folk would have said Megginson and look at the season Lister had. He could well be a great signing for us.

Where are you picking up this vibe, from a reliable source ? I ask because it was a frustration of mine that he didn't play last season and it would be good if he could get a decent pre-season this time round; he can certainly offer us something on the park, that's for sure. Source is fairly reliable as they are heavily involved at the club. In fact they are at the ground most days and it isn't Antonia. As far as i know it's no secret but it maybe just hasn't been reported yet. I found out by accident when enquiring about player sponsors for next season. As i understand it Murray will be playing left back or left side centre back next year. Should give us a bit extra defensively and having him available for selection could be our best signing of the summer. Winters signed until end season. I thought he looked useful against Thistle and gives us some extra options up front. Agree he hasn't as much pace any more at 38 but i have faith that Murray will get the best out of him for the games that are left.

Reading some of the stuff about him on twitter and a queens park chat site it would seem he is a decent player with plenty potential. He asked to be released from his contract with queens park mid december as was unhappy there. Since then he's trialled for airdrie, stenny and albion rovers. He was part of queens park youth structure and is only 19.

To add to my previous post Murray also said: "There are a couple of other players we are looking at. However, it wasn't a case of us having to sign them before the deadline so we have got plenty of time to do those deals"

Evening times says Murray is looking at bringing in another couple of loan players from SPL clubs. Murray said: "There are certainly a couple we are interested in. They will be loan deals and hopefully from SPL clubs. I reckon a few teams will be after one of them. We've made contact with the clubs so we'll just need to see what happens. We are a bit thin on numbers at the moment" Murray also said of Ross Forsyth. "Ross was a tricky one because we liked him and wanted to keep him in the squad. However he wanted to go and play football which is fair enough and we weren't going to stop him from doing that"

This could be a great signing for both player and club(s). If he hits the ground running for an in form Dumbarton side it's a win win situation for all including St. Mirren. When i say all i don't mean the other teams fighting relegation of course whch a Cowden fan already pointed out. Bring on Saturday hopefully tomorrow's dry weather gives the pitch plenty of time to dry out. It's been pissing down today again and has been all week.

No-one any rumours of any signings? With 1 day to go until transfer window closes i thought they'd be plenty of rumours. Particularly as we have let so many players out on loan and im sure there must be a couple of imminent signings.
