Agree - versatility will be key with signings this summer. If we sign 2 CBs, I’d like a RB that can play on the wing or as wing back. But if we sign a CB that can play RB, I’d probably want a winger that can cover at RB/RWB as well. Be good to have attacking options that are comfortable out wide or through the middle too. But it will all depend what’s available and how McPake sees things. I agree on Josh Rae. Some of his saves against us have been outstanding. The fact he should have been sent off both times I saw him is a concern. But Airdrie fans seem to say that’s the only time he’s looked like getting sent off. In the 4-3 game, he’s the only reason we weren’t winning within 10 mins of the red card, made some fantastic saves. He’s young and has potential, the exact sort of player the club need to target on a 2/3 year deal. Mehmet has done well, but I think the defence in front of him are around 80% of the reason he’s had all the clean sheets. Not done much wrong at all, just not made many exceptional saves (seen more of them from Rae in 2 games than Mehmet in 35). Also think Mehmet will be tested more and on a few occasions he’s been very suspect at shots from the edge of the box. Either not getting near them or parrying them back into the danger area, rather than wide. A few mistakes and we could be back to the keeper we had last season, if his confidence goes again.

I think we need a few more signings than that. This is also assuming Comrie stays and is obviously just my opinion. We need 2 new CBs - Murray and Fisher (or any CBs of that quality) would do for me. We saw last week that the amount of cover we currently have at CB isn’t enough. So just replacing Otoo isn’t enough in my opinion. New RB to provide competition/cover for Comrie - probably 2 RBs, or a RB and a CB who can comfortably play at RB, if Comrie leaves. We need at least 2 wingers. Think McCann will mainly play wide in a front 3. But can’t depend on him every week and we definitely need competition/cover. At least one new striker needed, although I’d prefer 2, so we don’t need to put McCann there and he can focus on his new role. I’d probably say we need a CM as well. I’d like to see a big physical midfielder come in, to give us a slightly different option. If Mehmet stays, we won’t bring in a new keeper. But I think he’ll leave. Agree that I want a permanent signing for that position. Someone like Josh Rae would be ideal, in my opinion.

I just don’t think anyone who has struggled for game time in league one will get a new deal for the championship. Every single player deserves credit/praise for their efforts this season. But we need to strengthen and the best way to do that is to offload the weaker players and bring in guys to improve the starting 11 in their place.

I think that’s just for the premiership playoffs, not 100% sure on that though. I was just disputing the point that the SPFL decide prices, which is definitely not true - it’s the home club that does.

I can’t imagine anyone is even close to Benedictus. Can’t argue with any of the nominations, but I’d imagine he’s well ahead of 2nd place in terms of votes.

Obviously we’ve used the earlier rounds to give fringe/rotational players some game time. However, we used all of our outfield subs on Saturday as we couldn’t name a full bench. There’s also no real benefit to giving guys game time at this stage. In fact, the senior players probably didn’t want to risk injury for a reserve cup game. Of those who would be involved, they’ll be wanting to make sure they end the season fit, so they can enjoy their time off and be fully fit for the start of pre-season, whether that’s here or someone else. Todorov, O’Hara and MacDonald are out of contract. Imagine they got an injury and then couldn’t get a new club for the start of pre-season because of it. Likewise, if they are to remain here, McPake and the players would rather they weren’t spending their post-season recovering from an injury from a reserves match. The youngsters will have wanted to play and get the experience. It will have been a sore one, but no doubt a learning curve.

Good move for him. Probably won’t be too long before Kai Kennedy joins him.

Missed this earlier. What price was an adult ticket? Guessing around £20 more than this year? Glad they’re keeping the young adult/kids tickets cheap. The young guys have helped create a great atmosphere this year and their parents will struggle to find a cheaper ‘hobby’ at that price for 18 weekends a year!

Agreed. Benedictus wouldn’t have strolled it to the extent he has, without the mobility of Breen/Fisher alongside him.

Those are the ‘services’ they offer. Every response I’ve seen has been negative, but they’ve left it up there and are probably proud of the amount of interactions it has got. To be fair, they’ve got Dunfermline and Falkirk fans agreeing… unfortunately for them, we’re in agreement that their marketing skills are horrendous. I can’t imagine anyone will see that tweet and think “I want these guys to give me marketing/social media advice”. They tagged the Falkirk Daft podcast, as if they’re involved/endorsed this, but one of the guys from the podcast has been on their thread distancing themselves from these clowns.

You’d think a social media/marketing company would be better at social media/marketing. As you say, this is the kind of thing you’d expect of a 12 year old.

I see we’ve appealed O’Hara’s red card. Can only assume we have clearer footage somewhere, as the footage in the highlights doesn’t really clear anything up.

Think we’ll go with strongest 11 we can. Wighton on 19 goals, will want to get to 20. The fact Todorov hasn’t kicked a ball recently says to me he won’t be here next season, so let’s play the guys that will be, or might be. Mochrie was key early in the season and KRH was so important at the business end, so should both start, then be subbed off to a good reception - KRH obviously used to that by now!

Watched the highlights. Brilliant goal from us. Not seen us defend a corner so poorly in a while, McPake will be disappointed with that goal we conceded. No complaints with either red. Benedictus knew what he was doing. O’Hara was clumsy, but foot looks very high - hard to see what really happened, but I can certainly see why it might have been a red. Special shout-out to the idiot early on in the highlights, screaming for offside from a goal kick. The way they continued to shout at the linesman as well. It always amazes me how worked up people can get, about rules they clearly don’t understand.

He’s an exceptional talent. Far too good for this level. Not sure he’ll be good enough for Rangers, but he’s one of the most entertaining players we’ve had in a long time.

Given Airdrie credit this season. But if you can’t win when you’re 3 goals ahead or have a 2 man advantage, I’m afraid to say that you’re just not very good.

What was O’Hara sent off for? As mentioned above, probably his last action as a Pars player. Find it funny that we haven’t had a red card all season, then got 2 today. Dave Mackay sent off - his second red of the season, so the same amount of ref cards as the entire squad.

Cause they’re obsessed weirdos. A normal person would look at a defender’s defensive stats, but Falkirk fans focus on the fact he only scored penalties. They’re as clueless as the Cardiff chairman who questioned why the goalkeeper didn’t score any goals!
