  1. I'll probably get it in the neck for this, but here goes. Yes, I agree Neil Lennon is a tosser. But only as a manager. He is too hotheaded to be a top flight manager. He showed his credentials when rose to the bait that Mcoist threw at him (Shameful). He had no managerial experience to be able to take over a club that was playing in Europe. He showed as much tactical awareness as General Custer at the Little Big Horn. He won the SPL with a poor team when there was one of the poorest sets of opposition available. Hopefully the new SPL (without them) will be more challenging. Cup competitions are not his strong point. Should instil in his players that every game is a cup final no matter who you play. The only thing I feel sorry about is the shit he has had to put up with off the field (or on - at Hearts). Nobody should have to put up with that nowadays. But this does not make me change my mind about his managerial skills. I thought he was a bad appointment, and still do.
  2. EXCUSE ME!!!!!!!!!! From the St Mirren "Virtual West Bank" website AyrshireTon Posted 14 April 2006 - 18:12AyrshireTon Youth team regular Members 150 posts Griff-man, on Apr 13 2006, 23:35, said: A Question for Ayrshire Ton or Capt Sensible. Whats Greenock Mortons Highest Home attendance? 23,500 in 1922 against septic. They needed a point to secure the title and we led 1-0 at HT. The b'st'rds eventually got the vital goal, though. That game featured the famous "Cappielow riots" as fans fought (with our fans throwing ship-yard rivets at the ****). Could this be our Viking 6 years ago (surely not!)?
  3. From the rules of the SPL: C4.5.1 Subject to Rule C4.5.2 fee payments ('Parachute Payments") shall be made for each of the two Seasons following relegation to any Club relegated from the League from time to time of the lesser of £250,000 and 1.63% of the Net Commercial Revenues in the Season following relegation and the lesser of £125,000 and 0.82% of the Net Commercial Revenues in the second Season following relegation. The Parachute Payments payable for each Season shall be paid to the appropriate Club(s) at the commencement of the relevant Season(s) following relegation. C4.5.2 In the event that a Club is promoted to the League, after having been relegated for only one Season, it shall not receive any Parachute Payment in respect of the second Season after its relegation. If they are classed as "relegated" would they be hard necked enough to invoke these clauses????

Love this bit! Too busy hating t*ms, diddies, bbc, newspapers, P&B, "want away players" and anybody else whose not coloured.
  5. Nah! He died in the end. It's a bit like Julius Caeser. Guy to big for his boots. Everybody hated him and stuck the knife in.
  6. Will I shed any tears if the other mob die - I don't think so. I have never been to an "Old Firm" match (or watched one live on TV) in my 45 years following Celtic because I don't buy into their ideas of football. If only we could send the knuckledraggers from my club to oblivion as well, that would be the icing on the cake, and don't forget the ones hiding in the suits Tut Tutting (while secretly approving) at the "awful behaviour of those people". But, I'm afraid that will take time. Maybe they'll get the message that their bile is no longer welcome anywhere except with their moronic mirror images on the other side of the city. Hopefully my life isn't over, because this could be the opportunity to get our Football League back, and to a level where we can compete in Europe again, instead of us (including Celtic) being classed as the minnows and walkovers when the draws are made. I am fortunate enough to remeber when ALL Senior Scottish League Teams got respect and were feared (except Thistle and we paid for that!). Sorry, I won't F*ck off !! I like it here!
  7. Shhhh!. The adults are talking. Go to your room and play with your toys, but leave the sharp ones alone!
  8. Your lucky. Our lot haven't got the BXLLS to stand up and be counted. Suppose to be one of the biggest clubs in Scotland and they're standing at the back egging everybody else on but doing bugger all themselves. SPINELESS. They should apologise to the rest of the SPL for their sleekit behaviour. Well done to all those who've shown their true colours.
  9. From Bury FC website "With reference to various reports within the media over the last 24 hours, the board of directors would like to issue the following statement. "Whilst investment into Bury Football Club is always welcome, any offer of investment will only be viewed at taking the club forward in its only one guise possible -based in the town of Bury, and as Bury Football Club. Bury FC is a proud historical club, and as such proudly represents the town, community, people, and above all supporters of Bury. The directors of Bury FC place the integrity and morality of the club, and football as a whole, way above and beyond any possible financial gain, and as such wish to reassure all Shakers fans of this fact." BURY FC BOARD OF DIRECTORS" Kick in the Balls!!!
  10. How about INTER rangers. No matter what it's fun to watch them fall on their collective hearses.
  11. If this "Newco" club is going to get booted in Div 1, as many think they are. Wouldn't it be better to: 1. Keep them in that division for three years (unless they get relegated!!!) 2. No promotion even if they are champions 3. Audit their books yearly to prove that they are worthy enough to take a place in the SPL and Europe This would still give all so-called "smaller" teams the advantages/disadvantages of promtion/relegation, and Div 1 promotion hopefuls would probaly get a healthier bank balance to assist in their jump up to the SPL.
