Exactly my thoughts. I really like Dylan Tait but I don’t want to be developing him between now and January for Hibernians benefit. Just tell them to come back later.

I don’t think I could imagine liking football enough to have to go through the whole process of getting fit over 8-9 months again. I’d love to see him make a recovery and go again but a part of me would rather he looked to the long term and looked after himself.

Something that is very consistent with us under McGlynn is we add players, even when it seems we have spent our budget. Losing our best player, I think it would be pretty safe to say we will try to add someone. I wouldn’t be surprised to see Gullan turning up, now he’s leaving Hibs in search of first team football.

I find it quite daft when teams lose games with freak events, lose big games more often not or have horrendous injury luck and we’ll have posters from that club saying “only *insert team*” as if it’s never happened to another team before but f**k me, only Raith Rovers.

You haven’t been the only one to make ridiculous suggestions this time, although McKay at right midfield is up there with someone’s Berra at centre midfield shout. BRS will play next to Tait most likely and we can only hope he plays in the same way he played vs Livingston, rather than how he played vs Hamilton. Dick and Tumilty will play left back and right back and it’s probably only a case of whether we keep our shape from the Hamilton game or we go with a back 5.

I think that’s highly unlikely. Had McKay stayed fit, Mendy would be 5th choice CB. He’s playing because we have no other options. I love the guys enthusiasm but no way is he going to develop into a reliable centre back at this level.
