Interesting post. A lot of this seems true of Goodwin at Aberdeen We have questioned whether Lee Sharpe can talk. People have noticed Goodwin barely speaks to him at all during a game. -

Especially odd when people from Glasgow , Dundee and Gorgie are slagging off other peoples accents ... -

I get what you are saying here and you may be right On the other side Barron has been absolutely shite this season. Playing like someone who thinks he is much better than he is -

Yes, absolutely Don't think this has anything to do with cash. I imagine it is more a panic about no outstanding candidate to replace him being obvious. -

I agree 2-0 Hearts including the obligatory Hearts penalty given for very little. -

Id argue being days from going bust is very much sevcoesque! Especially when that overspending (cheating) won you trophies! Did you pay 4p in the £ back or something to your creditors? -
The Jam Tarts vs The Dons

Weve won a trophy more recently than Hearts! I was nice and chose to ignore 2 of those 3 cups came during a sevco esque spending money you didnt have period. Enough to almost go bust. 1 legitimate trophy since 1963! We have 16 in that time period by the way and ZERO relegations ever. The fact you've finished top 3 in the top flight back to back only once in 60 years should be another clue that you are not and have never been "third force" -

You mean massively over spending on a stand that looks like a council bullding? -

Since 1963 hearts have won 3 major trophies. 3 major trophies in 60 years As i originally posted Hope this helps. Whataboutery doesnt save you from the fact that 1963-1998 Hearts won nothing Relegated 5 times in that period though! Relegations 5 Major trophies 3 - Hearts (1963-2023) -

Fair enough. I guess those 3 proper trophies in 60 years are enough for a team like Hearts (not including the tennents sixes.. sorry ) -

Ah that old hearts line.. didnt want to win it anyway Weird so many of you turned up for that league cup semi final at Murrayfield against Celtic -
Especially as hearts have finished top 3 in consecutive top flight seasons once since the early 60s!

I honestly thought you did from minute 1. The saints keeper took 10-15 seconds with the ball the first time he had it. I do sympathise with saints fans as Davidsons tactics are abysmal. All hoofball and time wasting. Aberdeen could have scored a few more today. Deserved win. -

You are still pushing this point. Ferguson even pre Man Utd had proven himself at Aberdeen. Comparing any other manager to the best ever to try and justify why any amount of shit football and results is tolerable is really really stupid. I brought up the numerous trophies because if you can use Ferguson as a ridiculous pointless comparison with Mcinnes so can I! We haven't only won 1 trophy in 30 years as it happens. You do enjoy being wrong! Delusional? That's a pretty strong word to use when you are just choosing to ignore all the facts people are giving against you in terms of Mcinnes. By your logic no team who ever had a good run under a manager should ever sack him. Why is Ivan Golac not still Dundee Utd manager? You delusional UTD fans thinking you could do better than a man who won a trophy Jim McLean couldn't -

We started well for a few months and then we were horrific for 6 months and stayed top 4 due to incompetence elsewhere. Anyways Glass finished in the european places that season.. not mcinnes. Ferguson and his time at Man Utd is a stupid example given by people who are desperate. Its a total anomaly as he was the greatest manager ever. How many other clubs have kept a manager too long and ended up going backwards or even relegated? Dundee Utd have plenty of examples of that im sure! By the Ferguson logic no team would sack any manager no matter what as long as they had been successful at some point ... Are you suggesting if mcinnes (who.. as you like to ignore said himself he was burnt out and had told cormack he would leave at the end of the season) stayed he would have gone on to win numerous trophies? Or is the Ferguson comparison as i suspect totally pointless. Just because Ferguson (the greatest manager ever) turned round a bad man utd run Aberdeen should have kept mcinnes... -

They were 2 "temporary" runs of bad form that happened close together Also they both happened in his last 18 months having never happened in all his other years with Aberdeen. It was going downhill fast I know Dundee Utd fans are used to that sort of run happening every year. Ferguson is the ultimate extreme example everyone gives. However 99% of football managers no matter how successful theyve been have a shelf life. Mcinnes by his own admission had exceeded his. He was leaving at the end of the season anyway. If Goodwin stays and gets top 4 and qualifies for europe (certainly not impossible in this tight league) does that mean we were justified to part ways with Mcinnes? Or does Aberdeens current "temporary bad run of form" over 4 matches have huge meaning for your trolling fun , whilst 6-9 months of shit "temporary bad run of form" under Mcinnes meant nothing? Odd viewpoint -

The fact Mcinnes said his time was up and he had gone stale is a clue here It wasnt just shit football in Mcinnes last 18 months . 2 wins in his last 14 , failing to score in 8 of them, 6 goalless games in a row (he set the 2 longest runs without a goal scored by Aberdeen across 2 consecutive seasons). He was done Even Dundee United would get rid of a manager after that run
