Still no defensive player picked
Fashanu?
Hmmm, a TE? But who do we have to throw to him? O'Connel? Eek!

I would have taken Nix, hope the donkeys fail to play to his strengths.

Glad JJ isn't ending up with our AFC West opponents (obviously we're competing for second place and a WC slot)

Knowing the Bears they'll manage to "ruin" another QB in Williams.

No surprise there

Bit boring so far, no trades? Looks like it's up to the Raiders to do something ridiculous and stupid.

I have several ties I inherited from my father, at least 70 years old (get worn to interviews on occasion). As for actual "clothes" clothes, I have a couple of dress shirts from the 90's I can still wear.

How the hell was that not a pelanty to Brighton?
Because they're playing a "big club", that's why.

All life has been squeezed out of Fergie MacDonald, renowned buttonbox player.
Fergie MacDonald MBE (24 April 1937 – 23 April 2024) was a Scottish accordionist who specialised in ceilidh music and played the button accordion. A trained physiotherapist and an international clay pigeon shooter, MacDonald is considered[1] to be the man who popularised the West Highland style of traditional Scottish dance music.
Life and career
Born in Glasgow, Scotland on 24 April 1937, he was brought up in Moidart.
MacDonald topped the Scottish Singles Chart in 1966 with his tune "Loch Maree Islands". He was initially banned from appearing on the BBC due to the traditional audition process, but later became a regular feature on BBC Radio Scotland and BBC Radio nan Gaidheal.
MacDonald toured throughout the world and released 23 albums. He was well known through the tales told by fellow Scottish accordionist Phil Cunningham as part of his stage act.
Met him a few times when I was teaching at Ardnamuchan HS. Lovely guy.

Struggling a bit at the moment. Re P&B Hospital post, I'm doing what I can for OT/PT but it's nowhere near where I need to be just to go home, let alone back to work. Also worried about work, I've had several lengthy absences and I have the fear the school will just terminate my contract/not offer one for the coming school year because of this.
Maybe I'm being negative here, but trust me I'm being positive when I do my therapy or talk to staff/residents here.
Ugh, sounds whiny!

At least they block them off. Every once in a while in Chicago you’ll see someone who isn’t local and doesn’t realise empty El train carriages are empty for a reason and embark onto one to be confronted with a homeless guy having a meltdown/jobbies/both.
This is why I don't use CTA/Metra or any Chicago public transport. Actually can't remember the last time I was in the city, apart from teaching there.

//umm, maybe I'm being thick, but in what way does banning children "ban women"? Men are parents too I believe so they could look after the sprog(s) shirley?

yeah, thanks. I'm not planning to do anything without professional advice.

Will that be "ok" financially?
It will be incredibly tight until I can claim my teacher's pension from Scotland, probably not until I'm 67, so 7 and a bit more years I believe (I'm 60 this year)
I will have to investigate.

Re P&B Hospital thread, I might have to retire if we can't fix the issue(s).

Oh, where to start?
I have been in hospital since Wednesday, kept falling over/having dizzy spells at home so called 911 and off to hospital in an ambulance.
Condition 1. very low sodium/potassium which they worked on and got back to normal by Friday
Condition 2. (ongoing) Dangerously low blood pressure. We're looking at an average over the last few days of 99-103/55-70 when lying down in bed. When they do the orthostatic test (lying-sitting-standing) I can go from 99/66 to 90/60 to 83/55 (that was this morning) and when standing my heart rate can jump to over 130 bpm.
Surprisingly, despite plans to discharge me on Sunday they decided because of condition 2 that it wasn't safe (especially as I live alone). Shitty, but I also completely understand.
We wait and hope things improve.
Also, my weight is now 73.5kg. (Last August before they cut me open it was around 100-105kg!)
Anyone out there suffered similar?
Transferred to a rehab facility (no not THAT sort of rehab for once!) today to do PT/OT.
Officially suffering from orthostatic hypotension, probably caused by autonomic neuropathy, so this is permanent, going to have to be on meds for life. Still I try to be positive.

Hopefully puts an end to this saga for a good while. Welcome aboard, Jimmy!
I'll believe it when he's in the broom cupboard signing.

FTFMe, duh.
Good college stats for Bowers, bound to be unable to retain that form.
